Cool video, so how do the ROR ones work? Because I had one and I once heated it so much but nothing popped. It just went into alarm and after a while I was able to reset the system. Does anything melt on them?

next time heat up the detector , but avoid the metal disc. This will set off the shorting of the contacts but not melt the solder, and the detector is not rendered useless

The point of this video was to set it off like that though for a demonstration.

you should have those rate of rise detectors. they are by far better

So these kind of sensors only have one use right? Like after they've activated you have to replace them?

you should make a i8005 or 8005 on how you designed the systems.

    Cool you should do that

whoever it is I would say that they would have to deal with Edwards/EST equipment considering that is what this detector was.
