How to watch this video: 1) Turn sound off 2) Use Setting4) s to turn playback speed to 2x 3) Skip ahead to 2:30 because nothing happens before that time. 4) Keep a finger on the skip ahead button (right arrow) for the parts where you can anticipate what's going to happen.
I apologize for my comment below. I came back to your video and watched all the way to the end. It was very helpful, but you need to move it along a little-don't leave the camera on one spot for so long. After watching several videos, I realize yours is the best. Thank you.
KEEP WATCHING ... this video is painfully slow with no verbal narration but it gives you a visual step by step procedure on what supplies are needed, how to remove the print cartridge housing, how to clear remaining ink, how to clean the heads, and reinstallation new ink cartridges and replacing the housing into the printer.
OK I got my print head to work. First, you need this syringe and you can flush with a mixture of 16 oz water and 3 tablespoons of ammonia, or Windex. You to just like the guy in this video shown BUT you should let the fluid squirt out horizontally so that you can see the individual tiny streams squirting out the print head surface nice and evenly with no crossed lines. If the lines are crossed then of few orifaces are still clogged you may have to stop, let the fluid sit in there for a day and continue flushing each color again. Next use a pencil eraser to clean the contacts. Next you need a torx screw driver to remove the back cover and clean the contacts on the back.. there is another youtube video for that. Put it all back together and you will still get an error like head not found. I unplugged the printer and then held down the power button while I plugged it back in. Let go of the button and it went in to an alignment mode and saw the head and now prints perfectly.
He spent from 5:00 to 17:30 cleaning, 12:30 minutes of cleaning in a 19 minutes video.......yea surely he spent more time showing instead of cleaning....... Don't bother mate, thanks a lot for the nice tutorial, anyone watching can replicate this good work, thanks dude!
this is the equivalent of a teacher saying what the class is 25 times and someone still staying only to realize that they are in the wrong class. Just show me how to lean the dumb thing
During this video, you picked my pocket, stole my watch and got my box of cheez its. . P.S. the test at the end showed the heads were still clogged...help!
IF ANYONE WATCHES THIS PUT THE SPEED ON 2X AND MUTE IT BECAUSE THAT'S HOW SLOW THIS VIDEO IS. IT WILL PISS YOU OFF WAITING FOR THE JACK*SS TO GET GOING.
The video said mineral water, but I am going to watch a different one to make sure this is right. There was nothing said or shown about clearing the mineral water from the printer and the final print out results did not show it was working because the yellow and cyan colors did not print.
You must be a film student, was your assignment to post a short film that would drive everyone to the brink of suicide. By the way I doubt you even fixed that head.

i usually never comment on videos but what the hell. you spend more time showing what the printer looks like than actually cleaning it.

Thanks for contributing your experience. I think I will have nightmares tonight about a possessed evil printer head chasing me in the dark.

Hey Partner, do you know how to remove the right-side panel ( opposite side of motherboard ) on 8600 printer?

My God...how long do I have to stare at the printer and listen to that dumb music before you do something with cleaning the printer heads?
Where to get those small tools?
Harbor Freight
Another video used a 70/30 solution of distilled water and isopropyl alcohol to clean the print head
either will work. amonia is just MUCH stronger, thus... be careful. Turns strong acidic.
