How much heat can that flex ribbon that surrounds the printhead take? Just wondering if that steam can damage it if stream stays on one spot? Btw what’s the deal about the ink waste tank... how do you reset it and does the counter have an expired count to disable the printer?
These printheads dont like ink getting into the connectors . you get missing cartridge error for the two 4 wire plugs - only one connector is visible without removing some screws. Also you can get dried ink on the reservoir ink sensor springs and connectors so you get depleted cartridge error.
I have bought a printer for cheap because it had the same printhead as my printer. But it was not used i think more than a year and the ink has totally clogged the nozzles. When i tried to clean it only the magenta passes a little bit of solution through. 99% of the printhead is clogged with dried ink. I have tried to submerge the bottom of printhead into hot water, then carefully inject distilled water with alcohol into it at all color locations but unfotunately the nozzles are completely blocked, i cant even inject the solution because of the air inside which is trapped isnide. I am afraid of pushing the syringe harder because i can tear the foil. Do you have any solution for this special case how to clean completely dried up ink from the nozzles? Thank you
the magenta is not pushing at all. do u know why? it was perfect since 1 week after that it deteriorates quickly to the level that almost no red comes out. it is hard to push water through magenta opening. though itis easy to suck air. i belive there is no nozzles clogs but may be valve problem or so. any help?
If you use pigment ink, the magenta is the easiest one to clog. For dye ink, it shouldn't be a problem. Be careful when you push the cleaning solution through because there is a bladder inside. You don't want to burst the bladder. Use gentle force and a little bit a time.
Same thing here issue with the Magenta which get Clogged and cannot be cleaned as have inner blocking inside the Valve and it cause me 3 print heads till now and its only with Magenta and its Dye ink not a Pigment ink , If any solution for that issue please let us know

Ultrasonic should be used as the last resort for the printhead cleaning. There are reports showing ultrasonic cleaner destroying aluminum foils. We use the ultrasonic cleaning on a regular basis. What is the alternative? Throw the printhead in the trash?
I have seen a video of someone replacing the membrane you call bladder, but he doesn't show the possess of how he does it. Is there a way to tell us how to find this in order to fix a broken one?
I have the HP 7740 the yellow and magenta color do not work. When you injected water, I have to inject in the 4 holes or only in the colors that do not work

This technique worked very well and on the plus side, it provided me an excuse to buy a steam cleaner!

I don't know how to fix it because I've never broken one. I will give it a try and see.
So I don't have a steamer. Is there any other way to do the first step like wiping it or something?

now the printer isnt accepting the cartridges that were in the printer for a month
replace the chips by new ones, it will be ok
cleaning is not advisable replace new printer head for this model after few week same issue
