I really appreciate it that you decided to tell this story to us. I feel what you’re saying because I think I relate a lot. I’d be really happy if you kept posting videos on this topic, because it resonates with me, it just makes me feel less alone knowing that there are people who struggle with the same things and we’re here together, in this community. Thank you for another video Sadie 🤍

I think I will keep posting videos on this topic. At first I was timid about sharing my real struggles because people can be so cruel on the internet but I’m slowly learning not to take anything they say personally. If they’re mean that’s really their issue not mine, and I’m literally just being me, like how can they hate on that? You know?

@@SadieP yeah I totally understand your concern about hate. It hurts when you’re ready to open up and share something that’s important to you and then there’s someone who reacts negatively. But hey there are always people who pick on you, but don’t take that personally, other people’s thoughts about you don’t define you. It’s YOUR channel and your space for your thoughts and concerns, not theirs. And I’m glad you will be making more videos like that, appreciate the content you create ☺️

Sadie❤🤗 I'm in my 30s and I cry at the dentist most of the time too. And I can relate to the embarrassment of crying in public. I'm bipolar and I suck at dealing with my emotions and other people's too. And when I get in a crying mood for what ever the reason that cause me to cry as long as I have some space to my self for half an hour at the minimum or a day max I can usually pull it together❤😀. I wish the best of luck to you and I'm glad you're doing what you know you need to do that will help you.

i just had 1 of 4 cavities filled today. and because going to the dentist is such an overwhelming experience for me, it's not "just a filling" ... it's absolutely stressful. it's painful - physically and emotionally. the dentists in my country are not educated on mental health, illness and neurodiversity at all, and are hell-bent on treating patients the old-fashioned way. like, my dentist kept insisting that i get the procedure done without local anaesthesia. and ... i had to have big confrontations over and over again. urging them to understand and consider. ... alone. alone is what i have felt the most. in this journey. i have felt like nobody really understands. nobody just, simply ... gets it.
thank you for talking about your experience. watching this video is the first time i have felt truly seen and understood in a long time. your vulnerability, courage and gentle encouragement throughout this video felt like the warmest little hug when i needed it the most.
sending you a warm hug back. thank you. xx

I know right?? It’s so cruel the way they treat you at the dentist! One time I was getting fillings done and it hurt so bad I literally screamed a little and made him stop and put more numbing! They’re just trying to save money by not using enough anesthetic! But it’s absolutely cruel and NOT OK! This experience I had was in Mexico, but I also had a similar experience in Italy. But I have to say I NEVER had this happen to me in Canada. They always used so much numbing medicine. I think a lot of countries are a bit behind when it comes to healthcare and dentistry. But in Canada it costs like 4-10 times as much as it does in Italy! So i guess that’s why they use a lot of numbing but still… it should be standard to not make people TRAUMATIZED! 😵‍💫

In the United States they like to pull out your wisdom teeth, eventhough they are not bothering a person. They feel the wisdom teeth will eventually cause problems in the future so dentists like to jump and quickly take them out. I was a paramedic for over 20 yrs and have adult children and grandchildren. It's hard to find a dentist that will leave them alone if they aren't bothering you. To me I feel, why fix something that's not broken? I kept my wisdom teeth. But now I'm dealing with a lot of dental issues and hate going. My mouth is so sensitive. Also I had a horrible experience when I was only 13 so I get traumatized everytime I have to go to the dentist. I'm in my 40's and I cry going to the dentist and just being there. So I've put off getting dental work done too many times cause the stress and trauma of my past experience makes me cancel my appointments. I have SLE Lupus and between that and the medications I have been on, it causes damage to my teeth. Yes honey you are right. It's ok to cry and go throu your experience. I'm not autistic but I get overwhelmed at times by too much stimulation from just having been a medic for such a long time (retired now). From all the noise and fast pace work life it's caused me to be a bit over sensitive to loud noises etc... now that I'm older. I enjoy peace and quiet. Thank you for your video and being so open. I wish you the best.

I love your idea of Autism IRL, it sounds very interesting. 🤌 For me I have to try and not succumb to hysterical laughter at the dentist or like having another medical procedure, out of a pure coping mechanism. Imagine succumbing to hysterical laughter when there are sharp tools in your mouth. 😅🤣 Again, thanks for being yourself on camera, it's very soothing and interesting to watch your videos! 😁❤️

well done! NEVER trust a doctor! You always need to do your own research. Me too, I cried at the dentist when he told me that 2 of my teeth are not to save anymore and they need to be pulled out, Then I would need implants for 2 molar teeth! I I left and went to 3 other dentists that told me the same. then I found one that told me the teeth can be saved by doing a root canal, I again left and did my own research till I found a special filling that can be placed on the nerve. I found a dentist in Inida who actually would try it out and it worked!!! So instead of having teeth pulled out, instead of getting root canals. i now just got fillings!!

Hey Sadie, im 11 minutes into your video now, after writing a Dissertation in the comments section all about my horrendous experience at the dentist ! I just wanted to reassure you that i cried too and i was in my thirties at the time. Also, as a prolific crier at times i wondered if your crying episode could have actually been cathartic tears which the tooth, mouth, chest and head pain triggered, but might have been where frustration, loneliness, upset and trauma had built up in your system and been encouraged to come bursting out of you via the emotions you were going through that day at the dentist. Ive had a few periods like that and in time you come to realise you released negative feelings and eventually even feel better for it. They say your body holds onto trauma and sometimes our chakras are blocked perhaps.
Maybe a way to reframe your experience in a positive light ....just a thought.
I think you're really brave to speak so authentically and openly on social media about your feelings of loneliness and depression. I think you speak for so many of us and it provides comfort and understanding thats somehow missing in modern society ❤

I cry in public often. I’m also good at concealing it. Highly sensitive beings feel the emotions of others. Then when they themselves have to deal with stuff, it feels overwhelming.
I feel you knowing yourself and why you have these experiences is a big step that many others don’t realize until they are much older. ❤

Oh I just learned that the “highly sensitive person” label is actually the diagnostic criteria for autism. So if you identify with hsp, you’re almost certainly on the autism spectrum. I don’t know if this is useful for you to know but it’s interesting!

I’m a dental assistant and have been for some years. They always want the wisdom teeth out because they’re useless while eating and hard to keep clean way back there . Also removing the gums will usually end up by the gum growing back like he said. So that’s basically why. And they have done that with me and my kids too every dental visit. They want the wisdom teeth out.

In fact, the diagnosis of autism is not a disease, it is a special congenital condition. Your mind works very differently from other people's, the way you perceive the world is more deeply emotional, it makes you sick because you think too much inside, your capacity to learn and perceive is very high, because your sexual orientation is different, the incomprehension and disrespect of other people hurts and upsets you deeply. That's why from time to time, when we put this situation inside you, you want to cry and relax. Because you are a little too sensitive, it bothers you to be treated as crazy or to be excluded and marginalized by other people. There are many people in Turkey who have the same orientation as you but live secretly. There is a huge difference between the nature of men and women. Or you become depressed when there are no people you think will make you happy. Focus on the people who make you special. Know your self-worth and don't care about anything more than necessary. In short, fuck it, you may experience mood disorders from time to time. The best thing to do is to cry for relief because if a woman doesn't cry, she will get sick and it will get worse. Over time, my hatred for homosexuality will turn into respect. It transformed first into religion, then after abandoning judgments, it took shape spontaneously 😕

@@amazonionavalon8252 No, it's just people with a maladeptive daydreaming problem, diagnosed with ADHD, people who like to read too much, had a bad childhood, people with a special syndrome are excluded by the society, people should love themselves, they should be accepted by the people they accept, everyone is absolutely special, just like you, unfortunately, I was too late from my dreams and ideals, people stopped me from my way and delayed me. I'm just exhausted in terms of understanding and psychology. Conditions in Turkey are difficult. They didn't give young people the opportunity to realize their dreams. Every day is limited. Only singing poems and making art is a way of expressing myself, but fighting is our only chance. Which profession did I want to choose? Even going was tiring. We consume too much of our time. Thinking too much is like a whirlpool. Are you caught up once? It may cost you years or even months to get used to it, make yourself happy, I couldn't do it very well 👋
