  • Video review of the 18" and 24" Hardtop rolling tool bags
One of the most common frustrations users have with other rolling bags available today is the weakness of the handles. To address this concern, Milwaukee designed its own industrial-grade extension handle for the Rolling Bags.

Just bought the hard top rolling back on ACME tools website for $170.00 after tax. Best money I've ever spent. I used to have the Klein backpack and it had a TON of pockets and I was able to put all my tools in it in a very organized way. But... Over time I kept adding tools to it and now its just way to heavy to carry around, plus there's no more room for any more tools. ( I will say that I do 100% recommend that backpack, its #1 on my list for a non rolling tool bag. Nothing beats it imo). Anyways, I took the risk and spent $170 on the hard top Milwaukee rolling bag. Through pictures and videos it didn't seam like it had more pockets than that backpack, but I was pleasantly surprised it actually carries a fair amount more tools than the backpack did. I really didn't think it would, but this rolling bag is deceiving, it holds all my tools and I actually have some extra pockets left over, and I have a lot of tools lol. There's maybe one or 2 things I'd change about the rolling bag but I have to give it a 10/10, it is hands down the best tool bag out on the market, I can confidently say this. Klein makes one that is very similar but this one has the hardtop which is amazing, plus it came out years after the Klein one came out so its a newer version basically. Defiantly money well spent, and I'm a pretty picky person when it comes to what I buy. Even though there's maybe 1 or 2 things I'd add or change about the bag, hands down it is a 10/10. Good job Milwaukee

this really does seem like Milwaukee listened and added a ton of little features that really make for a great bag. as a theater technician I am always going between theaters. I just wish it was priced in my budget even if it would clash with my teal tools. very cool for sure.

I really like where they are going with it, it would be nice to be able to lock the lid down. add a secure latch somewhere. that way it can sit, maybe not in open utr tay but within your canopy and you can use traditionall bike locks to loop through handles to secure to your ute in someway. or even have it locked on site to a secure pole.

    HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! "2020"
I know this is a older video for milwaukee rolling tote bag.
This rolling tote would be nice now if the hard top can accept some packout containers.
    Just my thoughts

I have the 24" hardtop rolling bag. Really have to use these to find out if they are any good. This is an abnormally wide and heavy rolling bag with small wheels and very little ground clearance. Notice the lower square tube of the handle - the bottom of the bag has the same square steel tubing as support.
The ends of the handle and lower support drags at times due to the small wheels when going over uneven surfaces. I was thinking how to repaint scraped worn down ends, but will glue some plastic so no damage to surface that I am pulling the bag over. The bag is heavy when empty due to steel and heavy materials, but that should be good. It looks like it should be lighter since plastic top, plastic wheels, and fabric used for bag.
Seems very wide when rolling through doorways and down walkways.

If you look closely on the back, there are small holes/pockets between the handles to grab bungee hooks and go over to the d-rings on the front.

I just bought the 24” hard top, first thing I noticed was the material when closing the bag. The hard top hits the material because the bag widened with about 100 lbs of tools. Second thing I noticed all my tools were covered with dust so it’s not dust proof!!! That’s all carry on...

This would be great if you're a local tradesman or technician. I like the larger bag but for a 27 lb bag alone, I will reach the 50 lb check-in limit much faster. The larger bag should also have a latch/hooks for a lock at least.

@@aleonyohan6745 I have the Jensen Rugged Heavy Duty tool case. I like the hard shell and heavy duty latches. I usually check it in weighting ~70 lbs with my airline status. The only downside would be the wheels. I usually replace them every year due to wear. They're like $12 each, x4. But the case has lasted ~9 years now and I use to stand on it, sit on it and place my laptop on it while on a counter top to work on it.

Bought the 24" today, and just loading my tools in it was amazing. This is gonna save me so much headache! Would've liked to see a way of locking the bag shut, and a method of storing a few benders. I'll fabricate a fix for both, but would be nice to see these on the second edition.

A Concord Carpenter / ToolBoxBuzz He mean electrical EMT conduit pipe benders. Typically us electricians use 1/2 inch 3/4 and 1 inch pipe benders. I could see them lashed down on the top of the hard lid and it would work fine. What a neat bag. It is a true Electrician's made bag. Other trades too but primary use like you mentioned for us electricians.

    • @ConcordCarpenter
      @ConcordCarpenter  7 лет назад +5

Pricey yes, but look close at the innovation and improvements they made to it.
I look at time and money -- What's it cost to replace a tool bag when it wears out? The time to search for, buy the bag, switching out tools, possible lost tool, etc.
The old adage you get what you pay for.

Can you ask them if they can make a 42 inch level like crick and Smith levels they are easier to fit into company job boxes , check for yourself 48 inch levels fit at an angle especially when there are other tools in a box, once there are 3 to 5 bricklayer toolbags in a box it's hard to fit any more levels because of their length even a 46 inch level makes more sense . This video sold me to buy it. Its now discontinued. A month after I bought it. The handle is now broken and replacement part take 3 weeks to arrive. Nice concept but poorly designed. This doesnt deserve "industrial grade". I must say, I like the flares for hanging my coat. But the push button is connected to a very flimsy metal inside that easily bends when pulling the handles upstairs. This has caused the extension handle to lock up.
