The new dewalt grinders are awesome, they are pretty quiet and it has a automatic brake so you don’t have to wait for it to slow down. May not sound like a big deal but if your using a grinder a lot that brake comes in handy

I knew that if these tools got a thumbs up from you then they were worth buying! You are right these tools are the best money can buy! I just added the 60v table saw and a combination drill/hammer drill to my arsenal and they are both incredible and CORD FREE!!! Thanks you rock!!!

after this video came out, I stepped into the world of buying my own power tools. I immediately knew I wanted flexvolt and the first tool I bought was the angle grinder. I used that at a job when I was working for my dad where we remodeled a Marina in Lake county, IL, and I needed to cut all of the white pvc off of every pipe on every pier on the property. keep in mind every pier had 6-8 pipes with pvc on them, and there were over 150 piers, so I had well over 1000 cuts to make. we had 3 choices- use a corded angle grinder with a generator, use a partner saw, or use my flexvolt. by using the generator, corded angle grinders, partner sawa and skid steer to our pier fabrication instead of using them to cut pvc, we saved enough money to buy multiple flexvolt angle grinders. definitely a production grade line of tools that can be relied on and make you more money. thank you for the recommendation! my tools have served me very well the past few years

Tool quality seems outstanding. Maybe for a project you could go build a small gazebo or deck/seating area in the middle of the woods. That would be a great test to see if recharging downtime is painful, or would work with normal break time, etc.

Yeah, sponsored, but I have to agree, I like my DeWalt tools. I just bought their Compact Job Site Table Saw today. Corded, but it will do what I need it to. I could have rigged my hand circular saw under a piece of ply for the cuts I need, but for less than fourhundred bucks, I've got a sweet, portable saw that will last for years.

Your video just put tears on my eyes. I thought I was the only GC that struggled working 60+ hrs a week. And Dewalt has certainly made my work easier on all the tools I’ve ever bought from them. Quality and ergonomics are certainly in their minds.

I buy as many of Dewalt's Flexvolt tools as I can afford. The 60 volt circular saw is a monster. I've had many cordless and even some corded circular saws that would bog down bad in wet treated lumber and the Dewalt just buzzes right through it. And I haven't found anything yet that my 60 volt impact won't bust loose including gorilla tight lug nuts on semi truck wheels. And even better is the 60v batteries fit in my 20v tools so I have longer run time.

I just watched this video and as to whether Cody was influenced by the generosity of DEWALT TOOLS only he knows but it may well be the perfect saw for him and what he uses it for. He gives his opinion on the great quality and build of the table saw as he sees it. Mathias Wandell recently did a review on the same saw but this was not sponsored by DEWALT TOOLS, a Canadian company asked him to review it simply because as they said, they wanted exposure as a retail outlet and were not concerned with his opinion of the saw in question, the outcome of which is for the kind of use that he would put the saw to was not particulary good quality and several faults so perhaps it's best to view the kind of use that you will be putting your saw through.

You should do more comparisons and reviews of quality tools instead of just the "cheapest on Amazon," I've got plenty of cheap tools I've bought for specific jobs but I don't have a brand and would love genuine comparisons between lifetime brands and I'd imagine your younger audience would benefit from this

I had all DeWalt tools when 9v was the biggest cordless you could have. When the 18v came out I switched to Ridgid because of the lifetime warranty and the build quality is as good or better than DeWalt. I do like the saw options DeWalt has, the cordless table saw and mitre saw are pretty cool.

Well, I could use some help on a small garage build I need desperately, have the land, and space, but no experience,or tools, I need the garage to store a 1980 C-3 corvette its restored but wont last very long out in the weather,of that im sure, my hope was to have a 12 wide by 20 ft long and 11 ft high, ive measured it off,and put up string lines to show where the form boards would be placed ,they say I need to dig out enough dirt to place drainage stones, flatten ,em out then pour the concrete, then the building of the garage could begin, no experience, no help, no tools, no nothing but a dream and desrie for it, thank you for the info from your video, found it helpful and informative, William

Amazing how these come so close to Milwaukee tools, yet such cheaper prices. What I've learned when holding a Milwaukee, I'll never be let down. My boss has the portable power station. It's nice but only lasts a few minutes (10 minutes with 60 volt 4 amp hour batteries) When your a homeowner, DeWalt is great. But if you're a professional, use Milwaukee tools. The little 18 volt drill already broke my wrist twice. Badass tools

Great video, way too many sceptical would be experts out there. I love the way you get excited about the new and innovative advances you see in the Dewalt Flexvolt systems. I am a home renovator/builder and have a huge collection of their tools to rival most professional builders but I have not yet invested in the Flexvolt upgrades. Don't be put off by the negative spinners out there... you are doing just fine with your honest appraisals. I have seen and used these tools in demo displays and they are nothing short of remarkable. Australia does not yet have the full range available for sale but we are getting there and I will be looking seriously at the prospect of upgrading though I am very seriously happy with my extensive 20V range.
    Thanks for a GREAT review,
    Greg

Portable table saws have been around for a long time. The cordless ability is great if you're a finish carpenter, but not very useful for framers. Try ripping a 16" 2'x6' with it. I have no doubt with patience it could do it, but do 10 in a row, then 10 sheets of 3/4 cdx. Like I said small jobs, with light material the saw is invaluable, but for a ground up job not really practical.

Maybe you should scrub the drill test video between the Milwaukee M18 and the dewalt. LOL.
Seriously, the last Dewalt cordless I used(back in the ni-cad battery days) that was purchased new began showing signs of distress after a couple of months. We were installing interior and exterior doors with them, so the hardest work they ever did was driving 3" screws. That cordless replaced an older equivalent dewalt that was just flat worn out. The difference in quality was so significant that I would never personally buy an electric dewalt tool, corded or cordless.

I could care less that this was even a "paid" promotion...no matter the brand, tools these days are amazing, everyone fights over what is best when go back 20 years stuff would be "junk." Technology in tools is just insane and I appreciate it.
EDIT...Yes, some tools 20 years ago where BUILT to last longer, I agree! Today though...I just don't know how we get a tool manufacturing company to not build tools that only have a 5 year shelf life...sadly.

Amidst all the whining, I hope someone notices that there's actually some pretty cool stuff here. He was up front and honest about being sponsored. There's nothing wrong with liking the products. I hate that fanboy crap. No matter what kind of product there is, there's always a group that just can't stand the fact that someone else thinks another brand is good too. Some people are married to a brand like it's a personal relationship and these companies don't even know they exist. Just be happy with your purchase and let others be happy with theirs, even if their free.

Love the review. With so much sway at DeWalt now...can you please ask them to make everything in USA WITH AMERICAN MADE PARTS, instead of GLOBAL PARTS?!?!
I have the same drill you do. It was also my first power tool but until recently I shied away from Dewalt due to quality issues I noticed in their first line of cordless drills when i started working in trades. In fact, when doing drywall my GC would buy us Dewalt drills for screwing in the drywall and we would constantly have to buy new ones as they just didn’t last. Now I’m getting ready to replace a lot of corded tools i have built up in my shop over the years and had been Leary of going cordless till the recent iterations of cordless tools and increase in battery tech. If only we could have our tools designed, sourced and made TOTALLY in the USA again. I would convert ALL my tools to the manufacturer that made that commitment in a heart beat...can you help?!?!

My experience with Dewalt: The Dewalt tools seem to be built well, other than the brushes on the motors. The batteries seem to be some of the worst compared to other major brands. They are also so expensive to replace its almost cheaper just to buy another drill. I have moved on to another brand.

I am curious to see how chaps would stand up to them, I see all kinds of disclaimers that manufacturers don't recommend their chaps for electrics. On the other hand nothing marketed as "for use with electric chainsaws".
No alternatives are offered so is it a case of "better than nothing"?
