Maruti introduced ags technology 9 years back. These issues maruti should rectify as amt cars mostly purchasing by middle class people as they could not afford cvt, tc or dct. 65 percent of maruti automatic cars are AMT. Maruti should rectify the issues as you mentioned.

It don't have a replacement period. But Once you discharge it for any removal you must replace it and too if there is any level drop check and replace the whole.this oil is bit costly

It's hydraulic oil, bit costly, though maruti suggests oil top only,better change the oil atleast in a couple of years.
