It shows that we can all do something.

@@NsLovingson no my dear , Mr. Winton was the blessed one . My grandfather grew up to be a scientist and physician . He work for the Institute Pasteur in France , developing many different vaccines . My grandfather saved many lives as a doctor as well , and he did it for free in South America . He lived to help others . I was a child but I remember though he always had a very sad facial expression . He saw his family being killed . Nothing could clean that from his mind . But now he’s with all of them in Heaven.
My mother was one of the 669 children. I owe my very existence to Nicholas Winton.
Ah, tx, so Nicholas Winton is the saintly persons name. Tx again.
And God created you and sent Winton as a Guardian
Well than, by extension, you are one of the Winton children. I’m glad you exist. God bless you and yours.
Are ya all out of your mind? The Holocaust didn’t happen . It’s their weapon agains any other kind. Joseph Stalin give them a huge piece of land in the far South- East corner of the Soviet Union which is still carrying the name of “ Jewish federation “. The so called “ Holocaust “ was in deed a pleasurable travel in first class trains with sleeping cart on the Trans Siberian train, filled with treasures arts and other valuables. If I’m gonna reach that age as that worm did, I could tell stories about what a big heroes my folks were. Careful scientists proved that Anna Frank Diary was in deed a hook, but can not put it in the news because that is in their hands to. One honest Jewish old man said it to me when I was a child, “ Boy,remember what I’m telling you, with a pen you can hit anything or anybody harder than with a gun!”

The fact that he didn’t tell anyone about this shows he was never in it for the glory. He was just doing what was right.

The fact he didn't even tell his family let's me know he was very conscious of the danger of what he was doing. The less people who knew the better. Yet to keep such worry under wraps... such a brave and noble man.
He wasn't in danger once back in the UK, he was just incredibly modest.

This is what you call a real hero, and a true humanitarian.

To do the right thing: Save as many as you can, while you can, and never say a word about it; truly, is the utter definition of a hero!!! ❤❤❤
He spent his time, money, and even put his life on the line to save as many people he could and he did this without a shred of recognition. That, my friends, is the truest form of a hero.

I am nearly 58 now and never heard this story. It angers me that I had never heard of it. This should be mandatory learning in school. This man is THE EXAMPLE of the RAREST BREED of people to have existed in life. One who puts everything and everyone else ahead of themself NO MATTER WHAT THE COST IS. I am a physician and have a patient who is of German descent and was 12 years old during beginning of WWII. She tells a story of how her father was re-enlisted as an officer (in 1938) into the SS and he knew exactly what they were doing. He played along with them so he could try to help. He would memorize names at work of those Jews who were to be taken from their homes in the upcoming week or weeks. He would contact them and tell them they needed to leave immediately and only take 2 layers of clothing and what they could carry in 1 hand. She mentioned a few other officers were caught writing down names and were shot on site so he never wrote down anything. He organized with friends an underground network of businesses that would smuggle Jewish families out of Germany and did this throughout the war. One person who helped him was a friend who had a tobacco shop next door and a secret small room the men used to play poker in and smoke cigars. The room was behind the fireplace. He made it look more discreet and would put the families in hiding until the next underground station was ready. She states that he explicitly told them not to try to thank him or call or write to him as these would all be traced back and he would be killed and wouldn't be able to help anyone else. Her mother helped as she could by baking food for the Jews and others escaping. Her mother and father at the end of the war estimated he had saved over 500 families. He never told anyone and nobody ever wrote it down until I am doing it now. She said her father never wanted credit and he was doing 'God's work' in an 'Evil Time and Place'. She is still alive but slowing down a bit and the sweetest woman you can imagine.
God Bless her and her father and all those who endured and were able to either help or were helped.
It's sad to know that manic men can orchestrate the death of innocents even by the hand of the unwilling few.... But the silver lining is that good and smart people can always find a way to help.... You must be so very proud of your family. Cheers.
Good people crop up in very unexpected places indeed! God Bless the souls of those brave men and their families who helped hold back the tide of the darkest evil, including of course the man who saved so many families as related. And God Bless those of these brave men who are still with us, and their families. I admire them for saving lives at the risk of their own.

He rescued 669 children but they went onto be parents, grand parents and greet grandchildren and in a millennia there will be children alive because of him.
Jesus said, "Let not your left hand know what your right hand is doing." In other words, do not trumpet your good deeds. Keep them private from the world. God knows what you have done. I don't think it was humility that stopped him speaking about it. Ironically, I think it was shame. Nicholas Winton wanted his role to be anonymous. I expect he felt great sadness that he could not save all the children. I wonder how he felt when his wife shared the story of his heroism. Janett thank you for expressing my feelings exactly! Having such real empathy and strength to work, almost single handedly to save these helpless children grants you the closeness to god that very few are able. I feel his sadness for not being able to save all the children was stronger to him than the satisfaction of saving so many.
@@felicitybywater8012 It is the Nazi fault, but they will never feel sad about it. They don't recognize those children as human beings.
probably felt embarrassed that he could not save all the children I guess.... not thinking that he had saved a lot of them....
He did it with heart. So never opened his mouth for fame. A great inspiration ❤️
I bow to Nicolas, my highest respect and appreciation for what he has done. May God in heaven have given Nicolas a place next to him. Germany 21.04.2023
What a wonderful man! Not only did he save 669 children but also 669 future generations. I believe he received a hero's welcome home when he arrived in heaven as well as a standing ovation from each of these children's deceased parents.
yeah but also funny number
Nah, he’s jewish.. Not making it past the pearly gates.
he will go to heaven
Heaven lol
Sorry Jews don’t go to heaven, they believe in Sheol and paradise
Ultimate respect for this brave humble man.
Who could not be moved to tears hearing the story of this man’s accomplishments? As a father these type of stories cut right to my soul. This man deserves an honored place in heaven and God bless those who act on behalf of saving children.
I had never heard of this absolutely fabulous man but at least at the end of the day he got the recognition he so obviously deserved. God bless you Mr Winton
I believe GOD allowed this man to live to 106 yrs because of his unwavering dedication to help children to flee to freedom! He was such a brave hero! 🥰👏🏻👏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏼
Would that be the same god who allowed the other six million Jews to die?
Could you supply a link to this assertion?thanks in advance...
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋🦋 agree
@@kneelneil God is ineffable. C'est tout. Worry it as you will.
With a god like that....forget it. He let 6 million perish.
Some people exist just to remind us that ordinary civilians can do extraordinary things. To give us hope❤
Didn't know of him before, but Mr. Winton is now at the top of my SUPER HEROES list!!
Words cannot explain what a wonderful HERO this man is. He and others like Oskar Schindler saved countless numbers of people destined to die for no other reason than of their religion.
Sadly, ,part of the victory of the Socialists is that they've convinced many they're colorblind, like us. Can you say "Jim Crow Laws"? Can you say (Lebensunwertes Leben) the NaZi abortion slogan? Murder slogan? War Crimes slogan? "Just following orders.

Oh man I can’t stop crying . I remember every word my grandfather told us .
@Christopher Delagarza thank you brother for the emotional support . I cry when I need . It’s my body . Lol . And I don’t care what others think about me . Thank you for your kind words .
38 year old grown man and I was fighting to dry my cheeks. True love is displayed.
I am crying now, what a selfless HERO
I've watched this video more times than I can remember. I am moved everytime. I'm grateful men like Winton exist in our collective species.
Let it never again be said that one person can't make a difference.
Tried hard to not cry as I am humbled by this mountain of a man.
I also tried to not cry, but did anyway.
we all are...
This video related to me on many levels, as I also was separated from my biological parents for many years, living in a children's orphanage.
Am suffering from a really terrible cold, and cried my heart out while watching this video. Astonishingly, my runny nose cleared! What a relief!
@issai 0108
God bless ypu.
Why on Earth are you trying not to cry? Extremely strange behaviour.
One of my sisters and I spent two weeks on vacation at his house in Maidenhead, England when we were young (I think I was 14, she was 12). He was a friend of my parents, who only learned very late that he was a hero. He had never talked about what he had done. He and his Danish wife were so nice (she cooked like a chef!) I'm proud to have known him personally.
Wow what an honour to have met him ,I remember watching that’s life and his episode is one of the ones that stick in my mind so clearly. His family must be so proud.
Today he will be arrested as a human trafficker, child molester and document forger.🙄
In maidenhead we have a statue of him sitting on a bench in the train station.
Grandpa Nicholas was like St.Paul who fought a good fight, who kept the faith and won the race. May the Good Lord reward him the eternal crown. And may the 669 survivors walk into his footprints of love.
To add further comment. He sought no recompense or recognition. His modesty is model behavior for humanity .❤
This is a true hero, doing what needs to be done even when others will not. I hope his memory is passed on to generations yet unborn.
We need this wonderful story made into a movie. This story needs to be told more now than ever.
i totally agree!!!
@@tomabbott4980 I certainly do too. I ran across this on you tube, otherwise would never had heard of him. May he Rest In Peace in heaven, for that is where he surely is. What a brave and giving soul.
Right up there with Oscar Schindler!
they are making a movie, and Anthony Hopkins will play the part of Sir Nicholas
it's called One Life
ABSOLUTELY!!!!!
Big salute to a great and noble man! May God bless your soul, Sir Nicholas. 👏👏👏👍👍👏👏👏
This hero lived to the grand age of 106. I hope every one of those later years were happy for him.
I am speechless in awe of this incredibly noble and modest man.
THANK YOU SWEET GOD ALMIGHTY FOR THIS GREAT HERO!!!!
Amen!
That's the same "God" that gave the world the Nazis.

One of the greatest man I came to know from this video , Not taught in any books , not glorified , but he simply did his work . For me he is a one great human being who ever walked on the face of Earth , saved life of millions not caring for his own life , yet not tking any crdit or limelight for it . this is how a great man should be.
He has more courage than most people
WOW! WHAT A LEGACY! such an extraordinary man!
This amazing man should never ever be forgotten, may he rest in ETERNAL PEACE
We salute this sacred Man.
RIP Mr. Winton. It was so nice to learn about you. Thank you to “Incredible Stories” for publishing this one. ❤
