I played this on the PS3 and had a blast. Sure, it's not exactly long but each campaign served its purpose and I had fun with them, specially the bosses. For comparison, I played the original AvP on PC years ago and after I beat the marine campaign I had 0 interest in playing the other campaigns, with this game on the other hand, I felt motivated to play the other campaigns just cause I wanted more of it.
I loved this game and frankly had no issues with the controls. Maybe it's more convenient on the PC. The multiplayer adds a lot to this game actually. I felt like they first developed the multiplayer gameplay and then constructed the campaigns around it. But yeah, the original (1999) game and the sequel by Monolith were better, but not by a lot.
Big fan of this game. I just wish that the Predator campaign was longer, or that you had the choice the play through the campaign a 2nd time with all of the weapons unlocked from the beginning.
No explanation why the predalien is there literally shows a clip on the alien campaign of how it happened. Xenomorph grow fast and All 3 campaigns are shown to be quite different on their timelines.
Nah, the logo for the game is pretty fine. Your review on the other hand, ain't. While some of your points are pretty valid, such as the alien controls being clunky (this is only for the consoles, it's much usable on the pc), there could have been aim down sights, etc., but a whole lot of your review is biased and opinionated. The campaign is short, yes, but you give false facts like the alien campaign is only an hour long . The predator campaign is like an alien campaign with a predator slapped on? No, the predator campaign was good. Why is there a pred alien? What the hell are you talking about? There were facehuggers everywhere and predators were also there, it's completely valid that there could be a pred-alien. The predator controls were mostly fine even on console, your comments on the predator's jumping mechanics is not correct and just shows that you suck at learning new mechanics and also whine when you give up. You did not even mention that there is a multiplayer mode. It's like you had nothing to talk about, and hence decided to just say whatever random meaningless shit that came up and discredit this game.
As soon as he started the video with talking about how bad the AvP movies were, I knew this was going to be a shit review. I just picked it up on steam and was hoping to get a good overview of what the game was like. Guess I'll have to look elsewhere
For whatever it's worth, it's at least better than Aliens: Colonial Marines.
I played more for multiplayer
I've binged so many of your reviews... Not healthy, but damn sure entertaining
Can't believe I never ran across this review before! I love this game .
