Appreciate learning the differences between this tractor and my Series 3 D12. I do have the S mower which locates the unit beneath me. Do really like this tractor as mine has all the options (large tire, etc.) Even prefer this over my 50 hp Kubota for many uses. Excellent tutorial.
The engine, lack of side rails, torque tube, and narrow instrument panel always make the D12 just look like a CA in D series sheet metal to me. I'm not surprized that a CA narrow frint end would fit.
The engine from the model B to a D15 would fit. Sure there are some differences but I have seen a D15 160 ci motor in a B and CA. Crazy that they got so much out of those motors.

I’m going to look at a d12 tomorrow I have a small 30 acre farm and I need a small tractor to do the brush hogging and hay raking
That size tractor is perfect for that.
