I changed my main phone to a Samsung Galaxy Ultra model after my vacation in Barcelona was ruined by ghosting in photos and videos taken with my iPhone. I couldn't find ghosting anywhere, the picture and video quality was better, and the 10x telephoto zoom and screen were both excellent. In addition, when using the iPhone, I felt like I was trapped in a well-decorated prison, but Samsung's One UI satisfied me with free and sensuous custom settings and themes. Now that the iPhone is seen as an old man's phone, this is a challenge for the no-innovation iPhone to learn.

I've always used an android phone, mostly the lower end one's. When my last one died, I thought I give apple a try. What should have been one hell of an upgrade (iphone 14 standard ), turned out to be one big mistake. I already didn't like apple ( mistake on my part for ever thinking about getting one ) and the iphone just made me hate apple more. S23Ultra is not the first Galaxy flagship device to beat the battery of iPhone... I believe iPhone6 Plus (not sure if it is the exact model) was beaten by Samsung on the same year it was launched.
I have tried the s23 ultra but I’m going to return it and go back to my iPhone 13 Pro. It’s just little things about it and the lower quality android apps that have influenced my decision. •I have problems switching apps with swipe gesture (doesn’t always work) •The galaxy watch is inferior to the apple watch (Haptics, sleep tracking, activity tracking etc,) As for the apps; I know this is an android / developer issue but they are just not as polished. For 1 example, on the Amazon app, when looking at review photos on any item, the phone lags so bad. It’s shockingly bad. These things don’t really happen on iPhone
@@Dalton_Parker Yeah, true. I was actually a massive and android user a few years back until I got the iPhone 11 Pro and Apple Watch. I just wish android could sort out the little problems that make big difference’s in daily use
iPhone is definitely more polished still and personally I'd say it's higher quality build and software across the board. But the s23 ultra just does way more as a phone. So for many those minor compromises make up because the phones is just that much more capable
These errors or deficiencies are present on all devices lol, I get it though, iphone is what you've been rocking with and to move the next one it must be perfect. Not going to happen. IPhones have several issues as well, signal problems, late messaging/ email problems, inferior web design hard for the average consumer to understand, app crashes, phone reboots, etc. one biometric option, Lack of gaming compatibility, lack of accessory compatibility just to name a few so that's present in every phone. IPhone is no where near perfect or the best most stable platform considering all things. I respect if it's the most stable for you, but you are missing a lot there, may not be important either but from a technical, capable and dollars standpoint samsung flagships are the best money can buy.
Your videos are well made but you sound a little too biased, like suddenly Apple is a bad company and Android is sooooo better. For me, costumization is more a thing for teens or people who wants to put too much time just for esthetics. Personally I don't care much if my phone looks like the others. Whats important to me is what my phone can do to make my whole life better and the iPhone fits perfectly on this. Just the Apple Watch and iPhone combo is the perfect exemple. The health app is hard to beat with my heart statistic and so on, app optimization, AirDrop, copy and paste between computer and iphone, iCloud keychain, my airpods connecting automatically with my devices, SMS that automatically sync between my mac and iPad, the overall smoothness of iOS etc. You know, there's nothing wrong to be in a ecosystem when you have the product to takes the advantage of it, I never felt so limited. Personally, I don't recommend switching for the S23 if you're deeply involved in the Apple ecosystem, it will ruin the overall experience and you'll miss a LOT of everyday useful features. I don't say Andoid or the S23 is bad, but its not for someone with many Apple products, its more a good phone for someone with a Windows computer and no computer at all.
Not biased, you are 100% right when you say Samsung isn’t that great of an option for people already in the apple ecosystem, I make that a little more clear in my next video.
FYI Apple no longer innovates the way they use to is because their phones last at least 5-8 years with 6 years of OS support. That means people buy iPhones much less than what android users would. So apple has switched its model to a subscription based service. If you ever notice, they are always trying to sell you Apple Arcade or Apple TV or Apple Music or iCloud etc etc. Plus they have locked users into their eco-system so these services can be used on multiple devices (hence you don't mind purchasing multiple devices). The main reason according to me why apple stopped innovating once Steve jobs had left for iHeaven.
@@Dalton_Parker I'm usually not keen on watching vids from small, upcoming channels as the quality is often abysmal. I was surprised what a nice audio and video quality the video has and fine presentation. 👌
what's the point of having the most powerful chipset in the world in a phone when you can't even do multi-tasking with it or change how the icons look or sign a pdf document.... you use a note device once and every other device feels so....... mundane........ but yeah... apple's brick like design / form factor feels nice.... other than that the phone's just crap.... I mean you need to download seperate apps to download videos or music.....
@@Dalton_Parker how's that better than a 3rd party app? That's actually worst... You have to subscribe and pay for it..... and sometimes not all music's available there..... other than that imagine if you use windows..... to transfer files you gotta use itunes and have you tried using itunes on windows? 😂😂.... i can keep going on about this like: people talk about build quality and how long the device lasts but after it stops taking updates you won't even be able to use youtube because you can't find the last useable version in the app store.... whereas I can pick up a 6 year old android device and still use playstore..... granted very few people use devices for that long but hope you get the point 😄 (I still kept an ipad 4 hidden somewhere 😛)....
The ease of use, integration, and sound quality are what make Apple Music worth it to me but yeah you have a good point iTunes on windows is horrid lol
Coming from iPhone I’ve tried s23 and went right back not even lasting couple days. Reason is optimization IMessage and user friendliness. Optimization all apps just work the way it should including social media apps games no issues I had issues with my Samsung all cause it wasn’t optimized. iMessage - it’s not about blue bubble anymore it’s the clear fact of full quality videos and photos sent with one tap of a finger. I never understood why Samsung has all these 200mb great features when you can’t show anyone it unless you send links and third party apps that now you have to force others to download to see your camera quality. Finally user friendliness. 2023 we still have 2 apps of everything? Why does Samsung have two app stores, two gallery apps two messaging apps and on and on. Also when you have a carrier version you will have 3 of the same apps oh and you can’t delete the apps lol. It’s a joke. Samsung if you want to make a good phone at this point branch out of google figure out how to send videos to iPhones and android phones and optimize your apps then people will switch.
@@TyroneBiggums789 apps are actually polished for iPhone and made for iPhone meaning less crashing means fully able to utilize stuff like the camera on instagram tiktok Snapchat games run smoother and longer smooth with the apps being optimized. @@zacharyrivera7228 ive never experienced any major issues on my galaxy s21+ with apps, ive been on the fence right now about switching to Apple but it being super restrictive with everything plus the nasty pill notch at the top, no USB type C, no multitasking, lack of camera features, no back button, no close all tabs , its hard to imagine I wont get overly annoyed very quickly and since I havent owned an iphone in a long time, it would be a dramatic change . I live in the states and the only real upsides I see to switching is imessage which only really matters in the U.S ,facetime and better resale value.
@@zacharyrivera7228 I wouldnt be so judgemental on reviewers having a cut. This year in fact a lot of the social platforms have teamed up with Samsung especially with s23ultra to make it more optimised. I have yet to experience these such set backs on Snapchat. No doubt you won't feel the integration of apple on the ultra because of no imessages etc but that's to be expected. I think you're having withdrawal symptoms and attributing your experience to you tubers getting a cut for being android lovers is a big no no. Yes just like apple and android there will be some favouritism. It will do you good to research "issues with Snapchat on s23 ultra" you will not find much. Have a more open mind.
I can not agree more. I liked the phone but softwarewise it is still behind. A lot of nice futures but also a lot of bulshits. They still can't decide which ecosystem to use. Having two apps for everything is just lame. If they want to beat Apple in that game, they need to do more and make it more consistent
Looking at iPhone 15 Pro, I'd say battery life & performance will return to iPhone for sure. Leaked geek bench shows it destroys iPhone 14 Pro, let alone Samsung. Hopefully the battery will be well optimised to ensure far away best again. If it isn't, then I'll wait for S24 Ultra. If it is, sorted.
That doesn’t matter because Samsung s23 ultra was still lower than iPhone 14 pro max yet a video already proved that the s23 ultra Destroys it. Both it and the pixel 7 pro lagged within minutes to the game being unplayable and dimming of screen with multiple apps in background while the s23 ultra didn’t lag at all or dim the screen it was a 30 minute test so yeah that geekbench doesn’t mean shit if iPhones thermal throttle and can’t multi task
Good luck with terrible Samsung customer support. Let us know if you regret not being able to go to the Apple store or getting someone on the phone who actually speaks English.

I have tried the s23 ultra but I’m going to return it and go back to my iPhone 13 Pro. It’s just little things about it and the lower quality android apps that have influenced my decision.
•I have problems switching apps with swipe gesture (doesn’t always work)
•The galaxy watch is inferior to the apple watch (Haptics, sleep tracking, activity tracking etc,)
As for the apps; I know this is an android / developer issue but they are just not as polished. For 1 example, on the Amazon app, when looking at review photos on any item, the phone lags so bad. It’s shockingly bad. These things don’t really happen on iPhone
All valid reasons at least you can say you tried, which most people say they can’t ha ha
@@xShinobiXx good point!
Funny part is... Samsung still loads it faster than the iPhone 😂
Pretty much 🤣
Good Lock is good but you shouldn't compare the devices then without a bricked iPhone.
Not quite sure what you mean?
I do not get the unsightly notch comments. I have never had an iphone and i am sure i have never noticed how "unsightly" it can be
It’s extremely intrusive as well
2:46 I identify myself as spied by police and tvn
Huh lol
It’s sad but you are right
You should also ask people to give you a like so that more people can see your video
I should probably do that haha
I automatically give for videos I still like and watch after the first 30-45 seconds.
Like this one.
Thanks 😊
@@Dalton_Parker I'm usually not keen on watching vids from small, upcoming channels as the quality is often abysmal. I was surprised what a nice audio and video quality the video has and fine presentation. 👌
You should know apple isn’t about features … having a iPhone im well surprised you didn’t think this
What’s it about? Ecosystem? It all boils down to features in the end, I guess you could say it’s about simplicity and optimization/polish but still
what's the point of having the most powerful chipset in the world in a phone when you can't even do multi-tasking with it or change how the icons look or sign a pdf document.... you use a note device once and every other device feels so....... mundane........ but yeah... apple's brick like design / form factor feels nice.... other than that the phone's just crap.... I mean you need to download seperate apps to download videos or music.....
Apple Music?
@@Dalton_Parker how's that better than a 3rd party app? That's actually worst... You have to subscribe and pay for it..... and sometimes not all music's available there..... other than that imagine if you use windows..... to transfer files you gotta use itunes and have you tried using itunes on windows? 😂😂.... i can keep going on about this like: people talk about build quality and how long the device lasts but after it stops taking updates you won't even be able to use youtube because you can't find the last useable version in the app store.... whereas I can pick up a 6 year old android device and still use playstore..... granted very few people use devices for that long but hope you get the point 😄
(I still kept an ipad 4 hidden somewhere 😛)....
Define optimizing your apps? What exactly do you mean?
@@TyroneBiggums789 apps are actually polished for iPhone and made for iPhone meaning less crashing means fully able to utilize stuff like the camera on instagram tiktok Snapchat games run smoother and longer smooth with the apps being optimized. A lot of RUclipsrs don’t talk about this cause I’m assuming they get a cut out of saying how amazing android is
@@zacharyrivera7228 ive never experienced any major issues on my galaxy s21+ with apps, ive been on the fence right now about switching to Apple but it being super restrictive with everything plus the nasty pill notch at the top, no USB type C, no multitasking, lack of camera features, no back button, no close all tabs , its hard to imagine I wont get overly annoyed very quickly and since I havent owned an iphone in a long time, it would be a dramatic change .
I’m super stoked for what apple has for this year!
That doesn’t matter because Samsung s23 ultra was still lower than iPhone 14 pro max yet a video already proved that the s23 ultra Destroys it. Both it and the pixel 7 pro lagged within minutes to the game being unplayable and dimming of screen with multiple apps in background while the s23 ultra didn’t lag at all or dim the screen it was a 30 minute test so yeah that geekbench doesn’t mean shit if iPhones thermal throttle and can’t multi task
finally not review mostly talk about camera😂
Haha, that’s gonna be a separate video entirely lol
Iphone is trash!! Samsun rules the game!!
They got apple beat this year that’s for sure
let see if samsung can continue this hype on s24 ,25 😂
I hope 🙏
That popping noise is really flipping annoying! Stopped watching.
Thanks for the feedback. Do you have suggestions on a different sound?
Good luck with terrible Samsung customer support. Let us know if you regret not being able to go to the Apple store or getting someone on the phone who actually speaks English.
Yeah that’s definitely a downside
