Jaffe, not a great way to start a case. Play house, combine your money, pay the consequences. Who cares how much she spent vs. How much he spent, if you want to play marriage the income becomes community property, meaning she get 50% and you get 50%. This must have been a nasty breakup, feelings were hurt and the child is in the middle. The male is picking fly shit out of pepper. He is turning a custody problem into a monetary problem. The judge hit the nail on the head about charging her for food, rent, clothing and probably the babies diapers.
