  • This is my hands-on review of the brand new TUDOR Pelagos Black FXD (M25717N-0001). I compared it against the original blue Tudor Marine Nationale M.N. Pelagos FXD (M25707B/23-0001) as well as the Pelagos39 (M25407N-0001). Sit back and enjoy!

    I think it’s epic. I love the throwback to the Tudor submariner and think it’s probably the most tooltastic watch in Tudors lineup! I’m glad there isn’t much hype!!!!!

    *Starting at **3:58** I was VERY impressed with the split screen where, on the left side, the seconds hands on both BB58 models run* *_backwards_* *but run clockwise on the FXD examples.*

    I bought a Pelagos in2019 and had an a awesome experience with the AD.I have since ordered a MN FXD and Redbull FXDand this morning put a deposit down on the black FXD.The joys of owning a dive company is that I can write them off as business expenses 😄👍The unidirectional bezel is for safety and can only count down on your air and dive stops.I dive with computers so that isn’t an issue👍

    I think it’s a solid watch but I do love my Tudor’s. Also think it’s aimed more to new customers. You could call it a vanilla piece but I think it’s a great watch to pull in people to the brand. I’d like to see Tudor offering a more bespoke watch that’s easily available without waiting lists where customers are able to swap bracelets & bezel colours on the 58 or 41 range.

  • @jackblah5842

    I like the black but one of the main reasons I pulled the trigger on the blue is the bi-directional bezel. I don't dive, I use it for timing everything and I don't care either way about the count down, count up makes no difference to me. I don't think you mentioned WHY the casebook is blank; it's because it doesn't meet the Marine National design elements mentioned above. Someone else mentioned the engraving isn't very premium and I certainly agree with that.

    Hi K, I agree with your assessment: the MN is far more interesting. What's your wrist size? Mine is 17cm and I'm not certain that it would be comfortable. In addition, titanium without a suitable surface treatment seems to be prone to scratches. I don't have a Ti watch, but I do have a Ti bike so I have an idea as to how hard wearing it would be.
    This is the first review I've seen that hasn't gushed over this watch... respect!
    After the Tudor build up I was really looking forward to this release, but now? To me it's an anticlimax.
    Thanks Mr C, I enjoyed this.😊

      Hi there, thank you so much for the kind words and your support! My wrist size is ~6" so this is definitely not for me but you might be able to pull it off, so it is worth trying it on! I still haven't worn a titanium watch properly so cannot comment on how durable it is, hopefully one day I can get to experience it! Thanks again!

    Good little review. The only thing I’d say, is that the etching of the back on the blue one isn’t that great and no one seems to moan about the plethora of Rolexes having no etching on the back. People like to have a significant date or event engraved on the back.

    • @KCTimeShare
      @KCTimeShare  11 месяцев назад

      Since both the Blue and RedBull offer case back engraving, it would be nice to get it on this model too, but point taken 🫡

      @@KCTimeShare Maybe a motto or message, family crest or just name and date.
      I just feel like any luxury watch should have a clean case back for the owner to personalise their purchase, it's also shows restraint in the design vs companies prioritising a limited edition or collaboration that will eventually be dated and forgotten
