    After this video I went googling because I hadn't really looked into Hamilton before, it always seemed a bit too fancy for me. Turns out, Hamilton does have the more appealing women's watches (for me) but Seiko takes the cake for price-performance ratio, especially as a watch-novice.

      That is awesome! To be completely honest I had not considered Hamilton for ladies watches so it is nice to know in case I'm ask. If you are in the market and have the budget take a look at Longines. A bit more expensive but Longines make great watches and have a good selection for ladies.

    So, I was showing one of my friends my new seiko snxs77 (the first in my collection) and he told me he likes Hamilton. This was actually after you had replied that I should check out Hamilton haha. He likes them because he’s a big cinema guy and he told me they are featured in a ton of movies; I guess he was right! Great vid!

Since I wind it 20 turns every morning I love the large crown and non-screw down crown. It winds super smooth and is a pleasure. Fits my 7 inch wrist perfectly. I don’t like big watches and the 9.5 mm thickness is lovely. Great review!

    TBH I kinda agree with the comments you read about hamilton khaki field. Sure, speedmaster isn't auto as well. But I'd argue it's more of a dress watch rather than field watches that imo are more of an EDC watch. I'd rather pay $100 premium to get the khaki auto or one of those seiko SRPJ (36mm) and SRPG series (39mm) for even cheaper than khaki quartz. But hey, everyone has a preference.

    • @BlueCollarLuxe
      @BlueCollarLuxe  6 дней назад

      I can see your point all but the Speedmaster being dressy. I do agree that it is not a field watch but it is for sure a tool watch and great for everyday wear as long as your not on the water. With the Khaki, I kinda of think winding the watch isn’t a bad trade off for the thin profile. Something to think about I guess.

    • @khonjel_singh
      @khonjel_singh 6 дней назад +1

      @@BlueCollarLuxe hmmm yeah. If you're looking for slimness khaki field has eveyone beat. But then counterpoint to that, khaki quartz is even a better toolwatch then. It's slimmer and has no need to handwind or adjust time even after taking out of watch collection after a few months. Ofc I personally love the sweeping seconds hand of auto and mechanical watches. So I understand people not liking the khaki field. Hopefully hamilton sells them enough to justify their existance despite their shortcomings.

    I want one of these Hamilton field watches but the fact they only have 50m of water resistance is really poor, especially considering the price, the Seiko field watches all seem to have more water resistance but I do prefer the Hamilton.
    Edit* Commented this mid way through the video before hearing your take on the water resistance, maybe you're right but considering I bought a Lorus field watch for £30 that has 100m of water resistance and also has excellent reviews I think Hamilton could have done better. The Speedy only having 50m I can understand due to the extra pushers for the chronograph.

      I do agree, they should have done better.

    The Hamilton is sleek but Khaki is not my color. Would love myself a Seiko though, sadly missed the first round - there's still four to go :D

    Typically I think of Hamilton for field watches, but I get really cool field vibes from the Seiko SSK023 - and it’s a GMT!

      Seiko SSK023 gives me Explorer 2 vibes and the Explorer is one of the greatest filed watches of all time so I would say you are on to something!

    I got myself the recent refresh of the Seiko 5 Field watch and it almost looks like the Hamilton Khaki Automatic. Even changed it to the brown leather that the Khaki comes in.
    But I wouldn't mind if I get my hands on actual the Hamilton itself one day!

      Cool watch! Those are 36mm, correct?

      @@BlueCollarLuxe The one that I got is at 40mm, which is in the middle ground of the Hamiltons (they have 38mm and 42mm for the Khaki Automatic I believe). I have 6.5 inch wrists and it fits really well.

    Hamilton and Seiko seem to have both impressive heritage and reliability. They are like the Swiss Army knives of the watch world.

    For my first “nice” watch I went with a Seiko Alpinist for the look but I’m maybe kinda sorta regretting not getting the Hamilton!

    Seiko and Hamilton both are great and produces quality watches

      I would say they make great watches at their price point. Seiko can range from starter to serious collector and have prices that match. I can not think of any other band that has watches that start at a few hundred to go into the thousands and then there is Grand Seiko, kinda crazy.
