Wow your really lucky to get one of my favourite a4 locomotive. It’s quite hard to find one in the uk I’m sure there’s one hiding somewhere in a store or online I met the real union of South African at my local heritage railway where I work as a volunteer. But sadly she’s retired from service. Not sure where she is now
Yeah, I was lucky to find this engine from someone on eBay in my country. You’re right, she is pretty hard to find now, cause every model of this engine Hornby has released, they always make her a limited run. I think this is, what, their third or fourth Union of South Africa? It’s amazing you got to see her in person, I wish I could’ve before they retired her, completely, but I guess you snooze, you lose. Same in the US. Lol. But oh well. :)
@@skylitejunction5589 yeah but one day soon I might find one hopefully. Actually union of South Africa was the 11th a4 to be built, her original name was osprey. Yes it really was and got photos and selfies of her. I believe she’s going to a museum somewhere
Hi. Some little update on number 9. Recently they change the name plate to black. The reason why is that the photographers having troubles to see the name in the red background. I don’t know will they put the original red name plate back on when it’s in a museum And now sadly union of South African is now retired and it’s still at my local heritage railway. This weekend it’s the autumn steam gala and originally number 9 should be taking part but it had a problem. So they gonna put her on display at a station Do you have other social media sites like instagram, Twitter ect ?
@@Pirate-Scorcher-1998 Yo, apologies for the late reply. But yes, I do have an instagram, actually. You can follow me @skylite_junction ;) Again, apologies for the late reply. I must’ve gotten the notification, but I probably forgot about it entirely due to work, or life in general. 😣
Oh, right. Sorry. Lol. 😂 Percy and the A4? But it wouldn’t be fair. Percy would be much faster, and he would fly off the track. The A4’s, I can make them go as fast as Percy, but if they fly off the track, oh man, it wouldn’t be pretty. 😱😱 But I do have an idea similar to that. :)
For some reason union of south africa's boiler ticket is suppose to expire in this year but i think she is still working an engine with an expired boiler should by overhauled or withdrawn it for awhile i think
@@skylitejunction5589 one more thing union of south africa will be withdrawn from service in 2022 and will be a static display sir nigel gresley will take over her mainline work
Very nice, you just can’t beat the A4’s. Lovely model
No you cannot. lol. :)

@@skylitejunction5589 you should put both of the engines at the same speed
@@magicguystudios7940 I can do that. It’ll be tricky though. Lol.
