In addition to a beautiful closet, you get daughter of the century for scraping that popcorn ceiling!
I can’t believe you removed the popcorn ceilings yourself! One contractor wanted $3000 to remove them all in my house. I might get brave and try them in my closet like you did. I admire you and all your skills!
Thank you! It’s definitely not hard to remove popcorn ceilings. You can do it!
At last someone who cares about the next project or other future projects: the use of the blade guard on the table saw!!!!! GOOD!!!!!
My dad was a Carpenter/ Cabinet & Furniture Maker. (He just passed away 12/7/20 sadly RIP) He would have enjoyed watching your Video of remodeling your mom's Closet, using your tools of many and working on your own...(oh my glory to YOU!!)
I love the smell of sawdust it brings back memories from my youth because my dad was always building something in the basement. One year for Christmas while I was in 5th grade he made me a Desk for my room and I use it still to this day with items a Desk would hold...enough of me babbling...Your ability has blessed many and your work is beautiful and your spirit even more so! Linda from Michigan
Awwn! Thank you so much! Sorry to hear about your father.

You are so inspiring....this is my first time watching your video and it has helped me visualize what I want to do. It must have been hard all by yourself but you sure did it!! Thank you for sharing. And they are beautiful and a great use of space.
This is a great way to built a custom closet! I can't wait to see the final product. BTW, what respirator did you use when you scrap the ceiling?
Thank you! I used the 3M performance respirator from Home Depot. Also, the final reveal has been posted!
Excellent motivational video- well Done- I have Sold many of our items including books n toys sandles- had too many - feel so much better n got loads of £££.
Hard to believe the closet you tore out, at one time was considered top custom.
This is wonderful ; how did you know where to place the Kreg HD Jig ?
You did an awesome job!
what side of wood did you use on your box to secure to a stud? The ones at the top of the box
very nice, the Kraig HG Jig may need a link update, page cannot be found
I wish god made me this damn handy 😭
❤❤❤
Oh my goodness what an awesome job can I hire you?!
How wide did you cut the panels?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ ❤❤❤❤❤
OMG I need help!!! My house is a mess and needs sooooo much work. How did u get started? I don't even know how to use a drill!! Smh
How many plywood sheets you used for the closet
The Kreg saw guide was a great tip. Never seen that before, and I can relate for not being able to cut in a straight line over long distances. Isn't birch plywood like $70 a sheet?!
Last time I checked a few weeks it was almost $90
What plywood did you use? What thickness of plywood? And what size of screws did you use to put up shelves?
Birch plywood 3/4 in. Not sure about the screws though...
How did you know the popcorn ceiling wasn't asbestos?
Did you test the popcorn ceiling for asbestos??
No, my house was build after they stopped using asbestos in popcorn ceilings
@@RemodelHandz Oh okay. It doesn’t hurt to still test it. It was outlawed in 1977 but was still used despite being banned. Be careful and stay safe! 😀
How do you test if .....?
how much money did you spend on woods
I spend around $800 on the wood. Wood is still going up, so it could vary for you.
Anywhere u ladies go even to for 1 night at hotels- please check all vents for hidden cameras
I don’t know where you live but can you come and help me do some updates in my home? I would be willing to pay and learn 😀
Did you go to school for carpentry?
Nope, I didn’t. I’m self taught and I also watch a lot of RUclips tutorials 😂.
New subbie. I love the closet… I do a lot around my house. Check me out..
