- A short instructional video aiding people fitting a Tambour shower door to their self build campers. After contacting the online seller I was given the wrong information, I contacted the UK distributor/manufacture, who gave definitive advice on how the door should be fitted. This video is short and to the point, it's aim is to help other like me.
you legend. thanks for that. My bathroom looks really good...but seeing yours....wow. impressive. thank you for the vid.
A very helpful video
Brilliant thanks just what I was looking for 👍👍
I would try using candle wax to lubricate the channel. Should prevent any dirt and dust building up.
Great video, very helpful in helping me decide whether to buy this for my van ...a couple of questions please. 1. How wide is your doorway cutout? 2. How far from the edge is the cutout at the side where the tambour radius sits? Thanks in anticipation.
Can you get insulated tambour doors? Hate the fact these are hollow.
I wish they were filled with closed sell foam.
Got a link I love it!
How does the tambour door holding up against water and moisture? I'm guessing is not waterproof? How do you drain the guiding slots?
Thanks!
Could I ask where you got the 20 20 upvc trim from please?
hi The helpful guy, great job! I'm in the design phase to start the transformation of my sprinter h1l1, in Portugal. I liked your details. One concern I have is about the wall and ceiling coverings. I saw that your van has original panels, which give a professional finish, how did you acquire them?
I liked the constructive simplicity of your bathroom, could you post a video showing how you built it? Thanks.
It was a mini bus with Mercedes head liners and side panels. They were removed and spray foamed.
@@GaryATC and as for the video of the construction of the bathroom, do you have videos of the constructive steps?
Did you not try CT1 to fix the UPVC square section?
Thanks for the video. Can I ask where you purchased your Tamber door from please?
Any of the UK camper shops have them(Magnum)
Very helpful, thanks. Where did you source the 20 20 UPVC ? Can't find it anywhere, maybe using the wrong description ? Thanks
Eurocell.
@@GaryATC Perfect, thanks
Beautiful job. What type of silicone did you use for the bottom track? Has it held up well? Thanks.
Saniclad sealant/adhesive. As supplied
@@GaryATC Thank you!
Thanks for sharing your great solution for the shower door. I was wondering... is the tape on the doors (seen holding the slats together) temporary for installation purposes, or is it permanent? How is it holding up after one year? Any mold in the lower track?
Just as it was when fitted. Easy to dry out with squeegee.
How much was the door ?
Great video bud , does it rattle a lot when your driving ???
Cheers
Steve
No noise or rattles.
I am putting a tambour door on to 8020 - any tips?
Hey Gary! Love your Loo. Was that made by you or did you source it pre-made? Any info is greatly appreciated! Thanks
Made by me.
Hi great video by the way ,do you have any links to where you got the door from ?
I bought the door from Magnum motorhomes. I can vouch for the quality.
I hope this helps.
@@GaryATC thanks I’ll give them a look
