I understand the comment in your video about "hate" but are you confusing this with "criticism "? If your audience are pushing back against a host - it isn't misogynistic or whatever else. It could be that they just are not a good fit/ don't have the experience etc. I loved hak5 for years but I just can't watch it with Ali. I just wonder how many people are like me and just walking away and at what point will you realise this could really be a problem?

CISA should returnto its original mandate: protecting critical infrastructure and coordinating cyber defense for federal and critical civilian infrastructure networks.
To be fair, the stricly cyber security functions of CISA were handled under an existing Department of Homeland Security Directorate prior to 2018. A lot of those functions, like hardening DNS, or securing critical utility infrastructure against EMP are perfectly fine and should continue. However the expansion of CISA in 2020 to include flagging your weird uncle's edgy Facebook posts about the election or about pandemic response I think worthy of legislative oversight.
I think you underestimate the threat targeted disinformation pose to a nation. Nuclear weapons are great for ending wars, cyber-weapons are for winning them. if you want to come out ahead, you need to convince people you're right. Most people don't recognize their potential, because when used effectively, they look like "finally, some reasonable news" - like your uncle's edge Facebook post about the pandemic response. He, and the circles he shares them with, think they're real news in a sea of fake news, never-mind that they undermine the nation's ability to respond to an emerging threat by sowing distrust for the nation's health infrastructure, it's just a meme not worthy of legislative oversight... Right?
Yea, CISA needs to stay in their lane. Remember that the definition of 'misinformation' or 'disinformation' is determined by the current ruler and that changes periodically. Speech defends speech, not suppression or regulation. The current prevailing winds toward shrinking government and strengthening 1A are a welcome change.

CISA has fundamental problems it needs to be reorganized. It's also ironic that the people who run a hacker news network seem to always support the maximum size government as possible. I'm starting to think that hak5 being an ineffective news source and being partisan whenever possible has become the norm now.
