I absolutely adore my G26. Its definitely my "do all" handgun. It was my first handgun. Since then I've bought several different handguns (polymer, steel and even alloy) but none are such all star worthy handguns as the G26 is.
The 26 is a sweet spot for CCers. It will pretty much do everything the larger versions can do but conceals way easier. I have used mine in practical shooting competitions and it holds its own. The problem people have is the psychological barrier of not having "pinky support", which is nonsense. I hate seeing a 26 ruined by pinky extensions.
Just Sold My G43 and bought a G26 because of capacity, Plus you can use larger capacity mags in G26 and Not the G43. The way things are today in society You need more capacity to be protected.
im from mexico and i traveled the whole country just to go to the capital just to buy a glock 26 legally, the trip was even more expensive than the glock but it worth it
I absolutely love my 26 and this is the best video I've watched in terms of laid-back practical insight. It's definitely a "do all" weapon. And yes, purchasing those Wayfarer's is on my to-do list.
+Powerule thanks! That means a lot! I don't know if it's because I shoot this gun a lot or what, but it just feels like an extension of my hand. And yes, these sunglasses are awesome. I'm looking at getting another pair here soon.
I have been looking to purchase my first gun and have been looking at the 26, but they are hard to find right now in CA. My local shop is getting the 19s in soon and I was tempted to settle for it, but this video changed my mind. I'm gonna wait on the 26
My 26 does all but two things: accept a weaponlight and serve as a "fondling" gun. But I would definitely recommend it to ANYONE as their first gun. Yeah, something bigger might be easier to shoot but bot that much. Plus, if you perfect ur skills on a 26, anything easier will be a cinch.
I’m on my 3rd G26. Had 2 of them previously and traded them in for whatever reason. Just got my 3rd and realize how awesome it is. Got my CCW license a few months ago and went bonkers buying many small pistols Glock 43x, Sig P365, Hellcat, Hellcat Pro, Baretta APX A1, Sig320C. Love them all and when I got a goid deal on the 26 it definitely made me wonder why I ever got rid of the 26. Very accurate, conceals nicely, beeeze to steip and clean. Never again will I part ways with the 16 !!!
Just bought the G26 as my first handgun ever and I picked it for its versatility as well! I’d love to do competition shooting with it as well! Can’t wait!!
It is my FAVORITE handgun for just about everything, not just CCW. I have a TLR-6 light/laser on it, and carry it in a nice Gunner's Custom Kydex holster. Like so many others, I actually shoot the 26 as well or even better than my 19. I'm actually considering selling my 19 for another 26. It DOES fit like a glove.
Love your videos I’m former Marine and considering my first pistol purchase. Watching you for best purchase. Semper Fi, stay safe. Never felt I needed to own, now I do. I’m old jarhead.
The 26 is a great gun however running bigger mags if your grip slips down and put pressure on the mag it can induce failure to feed. I prefer the 19 in situations where printing isn't a factor but the 26 is a great carry pistol. The guide rod spring in the 26 is way stiffer as well the 19 racks like butter after 1000 rounds my 26 still kinda hard to pull back. I know it's only a little bit more work I just feel faster with the 19.
Great review. My EDC is my Glock 26 gen3 too. The only thing I have changed on it is the sights. I have XS Big Dot sights on mine like you have on yours. I've had it for over 2 years now and have over 3600 rounds through it. Love that little gun. I got a S&W Shield 9mm last fall that I am going to start putting in to rotation with my 26. It's a great shooting gun too. I have several of the 10 round shorty mags for my 26. Probably 8 or so. Then I have two of the Glock 26 mags with the factory magazine extention. They hold 12 rounds and i like them bettter than the Pearce Grip extentions. I carry an extra mag with me when I have the 26 with me. A glock 19 15 rounder. I want to get one or more of the 33 round mags for range fun and I just think they are cool. I recently purchased one of the magpul Glock 17 mags that are all polymer. I am waiting to have some range time with it before i can say its fit for carry. Peace out.
Dee Piper Thanks! I'm really tempted to get a Shield again. I've seen several places have them for a steal right now. plus with the $75 rebate s&w has on them you can get one for under $250.
It kinda does do EVERYTHING lol I’ve been carrying one for four generations now & An M & P shield 45 . Luv em both equally.. Never a single malfunction ! Extremely accurate pistols . More so than longer barrel guns ! It makes no sense but it’s true 🤔 The g26 is the best all around carry option for me personally.
@@adrianakuzmikova1697 - I have both . If u don’t already have one I’d definitely prefer the Gen 5 but it’s not worth upgrading otherwise in my opinion
I have since moved into so many other guns, makes, models, but I will always honestly defend my G26. It does so many things right in such a small and lightweight package. My other Glocks are the 43, 19 and 29. The 29 is a woods gun, the 43 is my pocket carry, so they are niche guns. Since I'm in commie N.Y. the 26 trumps my 19 because they both have the same capacity. It's still my favorite Glock.
Joe Traina Very well said. And my condolences for the political situation in your home state. The 26 just seems to fit my hand so perfectly. It just feels like a glove.

I have the gen5 Glock 26 with Ameriglo Spartan night sights and +2 round pierce magazine extension for that 12+1 round capacity. This gun shoots like a dream and I even shoot it better than my Glock 19 gen4 that I shot over 5K rounds through . The g26 is the all round Best Glock as it’s just small enough to carry everywhere everyday but will also take larger magazines. I CCW my g26 every day and I even forget it’s on my person but I carry everyday so I know I have it , just an excellent choice for an extremely reliable auto loader 9mm . If you are on the fence I’d say buy it ! You will like it! Mine is made here in the USA 🤩🇺🇸
Great job on the G26 video. I've shot it many times. Awesome pistol. I'm still deciding between the G26 and the 43 . Leaning towards the G26. I've had a G19gen3 for a long time and love it. Like the smaller size grip when carrying. Keep up the good work on the videos.
is it better to have finger grooves on glock 26 or not? I like finger grooves on glock 19 gen 4 - fits in my hand very well, but I didn't have a chance to hold glock 26 in my hand yet. can someone who tried both glock 26 gen 4 and 5 tell me?
If you want a custom trigger for your Glock don't waste your money on agency arms trigger. You need to look up Johnny Glocks triggers! They are hand fitted components that come in kits. You call and tell him what kind of trigger you want and he'll make it. He uses all stock components except for the 3.5lb lonewolf disconnector. He's a wizard when it comes to Glock triggers
Great video but I have to disagree on the most versatile statement. If you have a Glock 27, .40sw you can do everything that you explained as far as mags and capacity. The biggest advantage of the 27 is that you can get conversion barrels for 9mm and .357sig for a little over $100 bucks a piece. You can't convert a smaller round "up." You can do that with .40 Glocks straight across the board. Freaking awesome.
I like how the gun store guy told you the 26 is a puny gun and he told you to go with the 19 instead. haha they are pretty much identical in capability so it's not like the 19 packs a bigger punch or anything.
I tried glock 19 and I really like it. only problem is that it prints a lot on my body therefore I am looking for something smaller. probably glock 26. what gun do you carry? do you also pocket carry and can you recommend me some good pocket pistol? what do you think about ruger LCP2 with laser as a pocket gun?

I'd like to shave the grip on my model 17 down to model 26 length so it accepts the 10 rd magazines. To me, that's the best of both worlds. Long barrel accuracy, with the ultra concealment of a 26 grip 👍

Look up the Streamlight TLR-6. That's a light you can mount on the 26 even though it has no rail. And I do agree with you on the mags. The Gen 4 comes with 3 10 round mags. Maybe they could throw in 2 10s and 1 15... And as far as the sights. I kinda like the way Glock does it, not everyone likes the same night sights. Nice video. I totally disagree. The Glock 19 is the best do all pistol. You cannot possibly tell me you can shoot a Glock 26 better than a 19. It is the perfect balance of size, and magazine capacity. Out of all the fighting pistols. If I was going to war and I had the United States behind me. I'm taking my Daniel Defense and my Sig 226. But if it hit the fan. It's my Bulgarian underfolder and Glock 19.
don't deny my righteousness truth well, unfortunately I'd have to totally disagree with you too. If I'm taking a pistol larger than the 26 I'm gonna grab a 17. I've owned 2 Glock 19s. @@TennesseeMatt to each his own. You carry a fine weapon there's no doubt. You use the weapon you feel comfortable with and believe in. Glock 19 on my hip, Glock 21 in my nightstand, Glock 20 when I go camping. I'm still throwing out the question are you better with the g26 or g19?
I guess it doesnt have a rail as well like the g19
yep, and that's one think that kinda makes me want a G29. Basically the same size gun, just slightly thicker. It has a rail. AND best of all, 10mm.
@@TennesseeMatt should I buy glock 26 gen 4 or gen 5? I like glock 19 gen 4 with finger grooves, but I don't know how will it work with glock 26. only reason I want glock 26 is that it is easier to conceal. what do you think about pocket guns like ruger LCP 2 with laser? I am thinking about buying that one too, but don't know if its safe to carry in a pocket.
I dont know if your a hippie, cowboy, drummer or a fuckin cop 🤦🏾♂️🤣🤣🤣 great video tho😎
I don’t like skinny women and I damn sure don’t like skinny guns! It’s “ Double Stack “ for this ol Boy !
The Glock 26 is a “winner winner chicken dinner”😜🇺🇸
