Most notably this includes the massive and still ongoing community project called Tamriel Rebuilt which strives to implement all of mainland Morrowind! Expect new videos each Monday!
    Music featured in the opening is Franz Joseph Haydn's Trumpet Concerto 3rd remixed and provided by "TPRMX". You can find their video and channel here: • [TPRMX] Haydn - Trumpe... The closing sequence features "Dixie Outlandish" courtesy of "John Deley and the 41 Players".

    You are adding the castle to the size of Ebonheart, the fort attached to Balmora is Moonmoth fort, add those together and compare it.
    Also Telvani towns aren't populous, just spread out

    You can pronounce Cosades, I believe in you. The trick is to do an italian accent while saying it and emphasize the second syllable. It's a mee-a, Caius Co-SA-des!

    While there is no warrior-esque intimidation skill in Daggerfall there is a set of speechcraft-esque skills that works exactly as you described: the linguistics skills
    Basically, you had skills such as daedrish, dragonish, giantish and such that had a chance of automatically pacify hostile creatures such as daedras, dragons, giants and others in a nearby radius. I believe there are around 7 of these skills in total.
    There are also the "etiquette" and "streetwise" skills which unfortunatelly don't seem to have any function whatsoever. The fanbase believes that these skills were supposed to work like all the other ones but for hostile NPCs instead of hostile "creatures" but for whatever reason Bethesda never implemented them properly.
    Fortunatelly, Daggerfall Unity, a fan remake of daggerfall in the unity engine, implemented this functionality. Streetwise can pacify any nps of the "thief", "rogue" or "bandit" class while etiquette will pacify guards and such.

    • @ophiss5406
      @ophiss5406 9 месяцев назад

      Nope. Etiquette affected how Noble type NPCs would affect you. Pretty much anyone you'd want to talk to formally.
      Streetwise affected how anyone who you'd want to talk to bluntly, or street folk would treat you.

      @@ophiss5406 if you say so, i don't remember these skills having any effect whatsoever when it comes to talking to noble or commoners NPCs, but then again it has been many years since i've played vanilla daggerfall

    So, partly thanks to your guides, I've gotten back into Morrowind and been building an enchanter that's total garbage at casting spells other than conjuration. I ran out and got amulets for mark, recall, almsilvi intervention and divine intervention asap. Along with enchanted items for unlock, turn invisible, spell damage and healing and I made a quick dagger that casts soulbind.
    I'm only lvl 8 but I can already take on just about anything thrown at me and haven't really started making my own enchanted items yet. It's my favorite start ever so, since there's no chance for casting failure, the cast time is instant, I'm not limited by my own mana and can cast just about every spell off of one skill. far but I'll admit enchanting is pretty cheesy but It's fun.
    My question who would be the best race to pick to be a character who's trying to follow in the footsteps of the dwemer?

      iirc skyrim, morrowind, and hammerfell all have dwemer ruins, so i would say nord, dunmer, or redguard make the most sense

    Does the spell "Medusa's Gaze" imply that Medusa exists in The Elder Scrolls? Is Medusa a folklore character or is there a Daedra that functions like Medusa? Could Medusa be a Tsaecsi from Akavir?

    • @muffinman2546
      @muffinman2546 Год назад +1

      The 'Elderscrolls' games typically do twists on dieties & mythical creatures.
      My best guess, Medusa is an ancient shaman of the Dreughs, the creatures that lurks Vvardenfel's flooded caverns, lakes and shores.
      iirc The Dreughs are agents of an evil daedra that wished to infiltrate Nirn.

    That's the thing about using the floor as storage - you have to remember where you put everything. That's why I go over the the Legion fort Moonmoth and take the quest from the legionnaire listen to his little story and "accidentally murder everyone in the council club in Balmora" XD

I love how enthusiastic you are - it makes me look at things I've seen hundreds of times over the past 20 years with fresh eyes, and I've been smiling all the way through the past 8 episodes. In terms of population, Ald'ruhn has more people (living inside) than Balmora, but less than Vivec
    Ebonheart is about equal to Balmora.
    ...i think, anyway

    My first walkthrough was with Hlaalu too, but honestly I didn't like it even back then when I wasn't reading much texts in game, all this capitalists interests and exploits. But my head canon was that Prisoner wants to have peace on Vvardenfell and uses this cosmopolitan great house as harmonizing influence, themselves being an outlander.
    Anyhow, Redoran for life! :)

    i don't remember if it's redguard's power or a star sign, but it was something that gave you just enough extra strength/carry capacity for a moment, i always used it when i got over-encumbered, always found that much more valuable than raw stat increases or being able to open locks early

    • @LyleShnub
      @LyleShnub  2 года назад +2

      Oh yeah, it's definitely the redguard power. Gives you 50 STR for a full minute - in addition to a lot of other buffs. It's one of the three best racials in the whole game and makes them a great pick for anybody new. Orcs and Dunmer are the other two really ridiculously good ones. Respectively, they get essentially 100% hit chance even at level 1 and 50% dodge chance against all physical attacks. Morrowind's racials are super imbalanced lol
