Thanks for stopping in, Pinepuppy. The sharpening job did the hatchet a lot of good. And that Wood Wax really made it look new again. Have a great week, my friend!

Great instructional video, a sharp small axe / hatchet is such a handy tool. Man I love the location of your place Kevin, beautiful backdrop behind the chicken coop. Yep it’s shaving sharp alright. Thanks for sharing. Take care friend.

Thanks for watching, Don. Glad you enjoyed the video. It's pretty nice here right now. Spring is very pleasant. Supposed to hit 80 by this weekend. Stay safe, my friend. I'll see ya again soon!

Perfect timing with this one Kevin as I noticed this weekend that my GB axe is in need of a good sharpening. For years I’ve always just done the round stone approach but looking forward to trying your method. Thank you for sharing all your knowledge and tips and your channel is rapidly becoming my favorite RUclips channel. Thank you again and keep up the great work!!!

Thanks so much, Shane. Glad I could share a few tips. A friend of mine says that I'm smarter than I look. I guess that's a compliment? Those Husqvarna axes are supposed to be made by Hults Bruk. Darned good steel. Which one you got?

@@WestForkWoodsman lol I’ve been told the same thing Kev and I’m taking it as a compliment either way! I picked up the 26” axe a couple years back. They call it a multi purpose axe and it’s been a good one for sure. Holds a really nice edge. Thank you my friend and keep those videos coming!

I'm glad you can't see through that camera and see my hatchets. Haha But, now maybe I'll spruce them up. You made it look easy. Thanks

I've been using a stone but can't get an edge anywhere as sharp as yours. I'll have to try some sand paper. Hate to spend money though, lol.

There are two GB Wildlife hatchets on the workbench. One's my wife's and mine. But we have a lot of hatchets laying around, mostly old garage sale finds. Thank you for watching!

Those are nice hatchets, but I am not familiar with the brand name. Must be a North West thing.
