My best friend Jaime and I went to see Fortune in Dallas. It was our birthday celebration. We had so much fun. I bought front row seats. It was the best comedy show ever!
Thank you, Fortune, for giving us the best night out! Jaime takes care of his mom, who has Alzheimer's, his sister who has cerebral palsy, and his precious son, who is Autistic. He is still talking about how much fun we had that night. Your comedic talent is a gift and such a blessing to your fans.

I kinda think even in ‘big’ cities there are neighborhoods where families work hard n struggle and pass on good values and manners; it’s not just small towns.
It’s a minority of people who are well off and even there, I bet families like yours give their kids great foundations.💖
No surprise that you were an academic,Fortune! You present as an intelligent, reflective individual. And , it seems to me, being a comedian requires a good amount of intelligence -- quick- minded, quick witted. You are a pleasure to listen to!

Love Fortune - and I'm laughing because I too moved from a small southern town in Texas to California. It's a culture shock for sure! I mean, how do you not walk into a room smile and say, ' ... How y'all doin!". I lived in CA for 3 yrs and when I moved back to the south my first thought was OMG everyone is so nice here!

I couldn't listen to the rest after that. Especially when I noticed Fortune just skipping pronouns because it and using the persons name over and over.
@jt8025 it was hard to listen to but I appreciate it for what it is. it's nice to be patient and kind to one another transitioning to pronouns isn't always easy. and it's not mean spirited at all. just takes time to adjust. 🩷🩵
@@kimberlyanahi5860 For many people it will just eliminate pronouns out of our everyday language. If someone is worried about their job etc., they will just use first name over and over.

I totally agree w/ Fortune on openness of ppl in the south! I'm from SC and live in UT. I know it's different than LA, and that Mormon culture has a big influence here. But!! I also feel it's common out west to not be as generally open to strangers.
Also probs a lot different for y'all if you hang out in comedy clubs and around funny people. The ppl there are usually the counterculture.
People here though are (generally) more closed off and clicky. They don't smile at or talk to strangers. Almost to the point where they can seem socially inept. They just stare at you like 👀. Like ok, I guess I fuc*in jump in a river. Sorry to look at you or make a joke. When you do talk to someone you don’t know in public, it's very transactional.
If you're invited to someone's house in a regular context, they will be "pleasant" but not real. It's like what happened to your personality?! Especially the older mo's. It's feels so stiff and uncomfortable. You aren't one of them and they don't know what to say.
The culture is way more quiet passive-aggressive as well. To the point that I often question if what they said has some hidden meaning.
Contrary to how South Park paints mo's as these fun-loving goofballs, UT members are overall judgemental, while being ignorant to the world outside of their bubble.
Many have what I call the "lds ego" - They are special, part of the "true church" so have all the answers.
Anyhow, with that rant, let me say I love Fortune and comics in general because it is so refreshing to see people being vulnerable, deep, and funny all at once. Especially when you live in a place like this! Keep doing what you do because people need it. Especially here in the winter. I love the handsome podcast, y'all have such a great dynamic. Tig's "Fortune!" Always makes me lol. 🎉
Leeann has the cutest voice! I wonder if she can sing🤔 she would also be great voice actress!

Imagine marrying bert... I can't even watch 15 minutes of 2b1c... But there are some funny clips of him. But its when he's not trying to be funny.
He's the fat drunk guy who takes his shirt off and has that machine story.. He really hit the jackpot with his wife. She's sexy..and I say that as a 33 year old man with pretty good luck with females.. That country accent is cute for some ppl
