This was dope. I'm loving the 75s on porta pro headband with yaxi pads (haven't tried with stock pads) I slapped the porta drivers on the 75 clips and use that for gaming. The funny thing is I feel like they both sound a lot more similar now - the porta drivers being further from my ears tames the lows and makes them a big brighter. Perfect for the laid back gaming I do..
In terms of sound: Which is better? KSC75 with PP Headband and stock pads or KSC75 with PP Headband and Yaxi pads? I have KSC75 with headband and I'm thinking to buy yaxi but i'm not sure if that improve (really) the KSC75 as that do it on porta pro, i guess the volume is lower with yaxi and i suppose the bass is a little more present, but I mean, what about soundstage, detail, or a real update in general? They worth the money?
side note about the clamp force of the kph30i clear vs the other colors, the clears feel out of box what the other options feel like after you've stretched the headband over a box for about a week or two.
Yep, I struggling a bit to soften the clamp force on kph31i (grey). After heating them with an air dryer a bit, it's definitely getting better, but still need some more work on it to get perfect.
Koss has been making these since the 80's (even older than even the earliest Grado headphones) and were a popular choice with Walkmen, and even after all these years; they are still price-to-preformance princes Like I got both the SHP-9500 and the 9600, literally hanging in front of my desk at all times, and I always reach for all 3 of my Koss headphones before never thinking about the SHP's again
Yep. That part (like in DACs) is all digital so there shouldn't be an issue if it's going into a DAC. Though if you're paranoid about it, nothing wrong with setting it to 80 for peace of mind lol
Okay so....with the koss kph30i I know they're kinda easy to break (snapping the plastic)- Do you think that's less likely to happen with the clear ones, or is the plastic not that different?
Lighting make it feel like it was shot in a dungeon.. Just kidding..😁😁 I was looking for pads for my kph30i and had VE pads in mind.. Waiting for your review..
Love the talking hands. But "fitment"? I get why that word exists in the automobile world, but here you are simply using it to refer to a headphone’s overall *fit* so how about dropping the unnecessary jargon & syllable? (Btw, I come from the world of political theory, where jargon is rampant. I am not opposed to it when it signifies a concept or idea which would otherwise require multiple words or even a paragraph to define. For example: overdetermination, a concept first defined by Freud in his Interpretation of Dreams …in case anyone is curious:) Anyway, "fitment" does not help one be more concise. Fit will do just fine, at least in this video. But you know, as we said as kids, it's no biggie :) Oh yeah, I appreciated the thoughtful content and the time & effort spent in testing. It's all very subjective, of course, but in this case, a blind A/B would be near impossible. Now, if only there were a reviewer w tinnitus like my own ... (If you see the Drice-By Truckers, wear earplugs, and stay in the rear) too much coffee
The fact that Koss and Yaxi does not have a collab product still boggles my mind
Yoss

The Yoss YASS headphones. 😅
Yorta Yo
I think a separate gaming channel would be awesome! You have a nice voice!
Dope looking forward to the follow up video and yes to gaming sessions!
Kph30i with Yaxi pads are the best headphones I’ve ever used. They cup my ears perfectly and are incredibly comfortable.

Great comparison. As for viewing angle, I would be fine with you switching it up back and forth; Variety spices it up! 😎

If you could have a single pair of cans with no amp/external dac, what would it be?
At 9:43 the price would actually be $30, since there is no free shipping if you want to choose colors.
Subbed! Waiting for the VE vs Yaxi pads comparison
Kph30i with Grado pads rocks your wold
I so want to try the Porta Pros sometime, I really wanna know why they're so popular...
You should they are excellent. One of my favourites.

totally worth it, i still remember the first time i wore them and my mind was blown away
Very good review. I love you man!
Now do the UR40!
I'm using the KSC75 on a Koss TD/20 Headband with some Orange Jasco Pads as my main Koss.
KOSS KTXPRO1 feels like you are listening to speakers in the room.
seriously, you gotta try the KTXPRO1
Noob question : when using your amps and dacs, do you maxed out the volume in Windows or not?
Yep. That part (like in DACs) is all digital so there shouldn't be an issue if it's going into a DAC. Though if you're paranoid about it, nothing wrong with setting it to 80 for peace of mind lol
Love that Speedmaster and band
Ok so maybe I’m dumb but I can’t find part 1!! How do I find it??
Great video! New subscriber

most of the time clear plastic is even more brittle than regular.
@@610-g9o okay, thank you for the reply 🙏
@@htsunmiku Ehh as long as you're not manhandling them you should be fine
I loved the sound so much I purchased multiple Koss kph30i's from Drop. Unfortunately, all of them end up snapping their headbands.
That Speedmaster though 😍
If fitment is your main concern ditch all headbands and get the parts express headband
Yeah and when it rarely breaks you can just get a new one for 6 dollars
I really prefer the KSC75 +Yaxi with the PP headband, sounds better and more comfortable than the PP drivers
This is my favourite too.

Question, for the KSC75x do you take off the original pads or just pout the Yaxi over it?
