So, if you look closely at these new Porta Pros, the driver housing has slightly changed from older models. The KPH40 share the very same housing as the new Porta Pros, too. The question is, are the KPH40 tuned any differently than the PPs, be it internally or with a difference in pad thickness? BTW, with your Retrospekt headband, it looks like you had the Porta Pro X drivers on said headband? I have that same headband, and when I attach the KSC75 driver's to it with stock pads they feel fine as far as comfort. Now, if I put the PP drivers on that headband with stock pads, the comfort doesn't do it for me. They need Yaxi pads. Sound improves, too.
i am torn between kph40 and koss porta pro. i like to listen to music and watch movies for hours while getting little to no ear fatigue. the porta pro is $60 and the kph40 is $50, which is more worth it?
It has to be worse simply due to the fact that it sits farther apart from your mouth. I've had people complain about my mic quality more on these than on the regular porta pros
Hey, i am looking for headphones that would be suitable for all king of music genres with an excellent bass, good mids and good treble. I am trying to choose between Sennheiser 560s and Philips fidelio x2hr, which one would you recommend? Thanks
560s isn't really known for its bass and X2hr is a hate it or love it headphone. If you're into bass and want good treble, the Beyerdynamic Tygr 300r is a fantastic pick. Check out some reviews. The 58x wouldn't be bad either, especially if you replace the foam under the pads that touches your ear (replacing it with acoustic transparent foam really opens up the mids)
audiophiles compare them to 300 dollar headphones that are also build like garbage, so to them paying only 40 dollars for the same garbage quality seems like great value
The Mic/volume control has a built in DAC. That's why its bigger.
:( yeah I figured, still doesn't make it as enjoyable...
Any thoughts on how the kph40 compares to the kph30i in terms of sound quality?
Kph30 more mid bass kph40 more sub bass to my ears
@@liljosue2762I like classic music and jazz, any thoughts on which one is better for that tipe of music ?
Whoa whoa whoa, sign me up, I want those Porta Pros.
I think maybe the mic controller is big because of the internal dac? I don't really know but maybe

How do these compare to the KSC35, KPH30i or KTXPRO1?
I wouldn't call KSC75 dark. Not at all.
Do Porta Pro Utility sound better than regular Porta Pro?
I slayed orphan of koss with my koss kph30i

Hi which version of the Koss Porta Pro would you recommend I should buy because idk which one to buy
Does USB-C compatible with newer generations of Ipad and Android?
the 40i dont use the 75s driver. they use porta pro drivers.
are you sure? so the Porta pro, KPH30i and KPH40 all three use the same driver?
Using the foam earbuds for the Koss KEB90 should comfortably fit anyone's ear.
will you review the newest topping nx7 dac/amp?
I wonder what the quality of the microphone on the cable is in the new system.

The 560S is more of a swiss army knife, while the x2hr might excel for some genres but be a tad too harsh for others. Not that bad though
Check out the Sivga SVO21
great vid thanks bud

Koss headphones are built like garbage. Why does anyone recomend this garbage
audiophiles compare them to 300 dollar headphones that are also build like garbage, so to them paying only 40 dollars for the same garbage quality seems like great value
Because the sound good for the price. The Porta Pro's sound awesome for their price. Not sure about the other stuff.
@@foxfix 9500 9600 similar audio built a million times better. And used they cost the same as new Koss. Koss is a joke
@@hardcorejab i dont think comparing used price to new price is fair though
@@foxfix Not fair to call something good that falls apart so easily.
