I was following you for 4 years, your henna and other recipes helped me to grow healthy waist length hair for me and my 7 years old daughter. I can't thank you enough really 🙏🙏🙏. God Bless ❤❤❤
How to use henna 1. Henna mask, mix with water to make a thick paste, lemon juice may be added. Follow with deep conditioning treatment. 2. Henna gloss, teaspoon of henna + favorite deep moisturizing conditioner + a little bit of oil. 3. Infuse an oil with henna can be used for sealing hair ends or for promoting hair growth if put on scalp, fenugreek seeds are recommended to be added. 4. Henna tea. Boil hot water add henna and let it sit about 8 hours then strain. Apple cider vinegar could be added.
I have bra length hair because of your suggestions in previous videos. Love your advice. Wish some of those RUclipsrs that copy you would give you credit. You’re the best!
Exactly, Farida gives credit where it is due (e.g. the clips from Green Beauty). People need to give Curly Provebz the credit she deserves honestly ❤❤❤
Really, I don't like copy cats ( people that plagiarize) Get your own ideas or give credit where credit is due! Curly Proverbs is the REAL DEAL my hair has flourished due to her recipes!!!! All the CREDIT goes to the Ayurveda Queen Curly P 😘
THIS WORKS!!!! I’ve been treating my hair with henna for the past 5 months , along with a protective style under wigs , liquid biotin supplement and my hair has transformed , I’ve never had hair this strong. The shedding / fall has reduced , thickness increased and my length has been retained . 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Thank you so much. I want to cry. This info shared is so helpful. I want to give up wigs and weave and wear my own hair. I have been wearing weave for 20 years. Time to be natural.
Right. I had been natural for years but could never treat my hair well enough to get more than nine inches length. And then like a fool I’d relax it and let it fall and break off. Following this channel now after I’ve cut my hair to an inch. I’m rocking my natural hair now. It’s so liberating.
Lovely to see an update. Henna, henna gloss, aloe, fenugreek, rosemary are queens for nurturing our follicles. Learnt this from you whom was one of the first to bring forward Ayurvedic methods for nurturing our hair.
I have a batch of the fenugreek oil in my cabinet. Added rosemary and msm. I see the difference in hair growth in a month. Rosemary is very strong smiling ( I found out) so a drop or two is enough.
Gee Row R. I love using a Rosemary , fenugreek tea as a final rinse post deep conditioning. Totally agree. Oh oh and hemp seed oil is slept on for a good scalp massage re prepoo. If is natural and pronouncable, skin, hair and body prefers. Less is more. Lol I drink my MSM. I began eons ago because it helps with joint inflammation reduction. The side benefit is hair and nail growth.
ElegantPaws01 how do you do rosemary fenugreek tea? I have been having headaches since taking msm. I’m calling my doctor tomorrow to find out if it’ll go away. If so I wil resume. I make everything now. Occasionally, i order from natty Naturals. Leave in conditioner is the ish. I’ll have grab some hemp seed oil. Thanks for the info.
Gee Row R. Natty Naturals lemongrass is heaven. Literally, rosemary leaves and fenugreek seeds, boil up then leave on low for an hour then cool and bottle leave in fridge. I make enough for two weeks meaning to shampoos. One teaspoon of fenugreek seeds to three table spoons, heaping spoons in 4 cups of water...leave it to steep. Then put in two applicator bottles and put in the side of your fridge. When you have rinsed out your conditioner, take this cooling rinse put your head over the sink, apply o your roots let it drain through. It does its job on the scalp and closes your cuticles. Now TO MSM begin with the nth of a spoon in a cup of water. Each week double that amount. You work your way up to one level teaspoon. Do this for three months once a day. Bedtime recommended. Go off it for a month or so and start the process again. You are taking ok much or for too long. Take a break. Try bamboo tea for a bit or lemongrass tea or ashwaganda . I am currently working on a DHT prepoo oil which is sitting on the sill in the atrium for the next month. I love experimenting that is proven useful.
Curly Proverbz Hey I’ve recently dyed my hair honey blonde I left the dye in for too long and now I have colour damage and orange hair!🤦🏽♀️ I want to use henna to dye my hair back to a natural colour . What henna would you recommend and what colour do you think it’d leave my hair aswell ? x
I’ve used the infused oil with henna, olive oil and essential oils for my little girls (she’s 4) for 2 years now. Major hair growth!!! Her hair length is middle of her back and to her chest.
@@allyouneedtoknow6332 lots of videos on RUclips for hair oil infusion. I do a tablespoon henna to a cup of oil... I've learned to play with tons of oil. But check youtube lots of info
I wish you would do a weekly routine showing how you use all these products and style your hair and moisturize it like a all in one detail and summerization video
My hair game changed when I found your first video on Henna!! My hair was in pretty terrible shape and nothing was working to save her. Since I had never big chopped, I didn't want to do it at this point either. I developed a ayurvedic hair routine by creating recipes and keeping a schedule (all based on your videos and adjusted accordingly for my hair needs)....there are no words for what she looks like now. She looks like herself again but more improved. And I feel like a natural DIY hair guru now! Thanks to you for sharing the knowledge!!!
I've been following & using henna, aruyvedic herbs, & oils for over a year now. I've always had long, thick hair naturally. But, BABY the length retention & virtually no split ends showed me the sky's the limit! The henna definitely loosens my curls to where there's no definition. The benefits are so great, I just do twists outs on those weeks. When I want my curls back poppin', I just use clay & an aruyvedic mask (left over from the oils), and curls are poppin' like they never left! Just wanted to let you know, you're amazing & keep up the good work!
@@bumba8154 There's no adverse effects if you stop. And, I've found over time your hair may need different things. So, there's benefits to stopping to help you see what's working for you & what's not.
@@bumba8154 I didn't lose any length. I would suggest to start slow by mixing it with conditioner because it can be super drying. If protein treatments are rough on your hair, this will be too.
@@DriDriezy03 oh nice, I’ll give it a go. I was a little nervous because life happens and maybe you can’t keep it up the treatment and all your length goes away.
You're literally hair goals😭💃😍. Thank goodness I've found your channel over 2 years ago 😭.. I've been natural my entire life and my hair's length was around the upper armpit region (around the shoulder). However it never seem to grow. But after discovering your channel I finally found what was wrong and you gave immediate steps in fixing it. And for that I thank you! My hair is now mid back length after using some of your ayruvedic hair practices and it's low porosity, of a high density but the strands are very very fine. Because of this tangles are an absolute nightmare and it breaks easily. But I'm enjoying the journey to healthy hair! I do look forward to many more great videos from you! God bless you and your family 😘
Shenice Dells My hair is also low porosity, high density with fine strands that won’t grow longer than my collar bone. What did you find out was wrong? I’m looking forward to trying out these tips!
I had bra strap length curly hair. I had just colored my hair last week bright honey blonde & it turned out light red, and only my roots were super blonde. Weird. Anyway I just cut it off out of frustration. The next day after the coloring and big chop, I went to my go-to henna (Godrej Nupur 9 Herbs Blend Henna Powder) and mixed in some coffee with it to be extra. Moisturized and everything.....WITHIN A WEEK my roots were dark again!!!! From bright blonde roots to my natural dark brown roots popping out about half an inch in a WEEK!!! Why? BECAUSE HENNA IS THE TRUTH!!! Been using it a year and a half and it has saved my high porosity 3c curls. Saved them! 🙌 I even infused that henna blend in some EVOO for a few weeks, and use that in between treatments. My hair stays so soft, strong and EASY to detangle using my henna oil 2-3x a week. Just get yourself some henna & get it on your hair somehow. There's tons of ways. All of them are on Farida's channel. 😆 Get you some!
It's, been a while since I've posted, I'm hoping this will thicken my hair I, always had thickness and length enough for 2 people...now at 70 my growth is slowing down and thickness I, will give this a try for sure.. Love and Peace to all ~~~
Awesome! You deserve way more subscribers. I've been researching and making my own oils along with guidance from your videos (and another RUclipsr who has great results as well). I must say, it's working. Due to sickness, I've lost some hair. Just 2 weeks ago, my bald spot was absolutely nothing. Today, June 1st 2019, I have 1/4 of an inch of hair. I'm amazed. Looking forward to more progress. It's been so long since I've had a full head of hair. Just wanna feel like myself again. Thank you for your channel and being there for us. Appreciated, Sis. Love from New York City ❤❤❤
THANK YOU SO MUCH for also including telling us the cons, how to identify fake products, and showing us what could go wrong! I appreciate your INTEGRITY!!!
I have purchased from Henna Sooq and followed the fenugreek and henna oil. My natural hair is gorgeous and flourishing! My hair is growing back from my 3rd big chop. I cannot see myself ever going back to chemical dyes. Thank you Curly Proverbz!
Thanks for giving up the game! My 4c curly hair has been stuck at mini afro length (shoulder length when straightened) since 2016. My ends are snapping off like crazy! I just used the tea method to add henna to my routine. My hair is air drying as I’m typing this and I can see my curls are looser than usual. I like it! I’m not yet at a length or texture where my hair will drop down on it’s own. My curls are typically reaching for the sky by sticking straight up in the air. That’s still the same, for now, but my curl pattern is in tact and looking like a 3c in some areas 4a in others. I’m excited to continue seeing results from regular use of henna!
Yesss!!! Henna is some good stuff for your hair. I was using henna last year a lot in my hair and did not know the results I would get but my hair did amazing with it after a year of using it. I saw a significant mount of growth in my hair. ❤️ thanks for sharing your Henna story!
I used henna for years and grew my hair to mid-back length. I stopped using it but was still taking great care with my hair but within a year I had to cut it up to shoulder length, partly because of the hard water in my new home, (we’ve since gotten a whole-house water system and a shower filter) but henna coated hair could’ve mitigated some of that damage. My hair also began to get much curlier and I started having slightly more single strand knots and clumps of knots throughout. Next, I started shedding hair although it had managed to grow back to arm-pit length, again because I take care of it, but it wasn’t arm-pit length all over. So, when I went in for a yearly blow-out and trim, I had to cut it back off to just under shoulder length.🙄🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ It felt great for about 3 weeks, then it started tangling in the roots.🙄 I washed, deep conditioned and oiled it...the knots came out but I was irritated and afraid to have to keep cutting my hair off. Luckily, I keep Red Raj in my hair arsenal, I never swore off of henna, I just stopped using it. Anyhow, I mixed some up w/some coconut milk, let it dye release, spread it on, let it sit for 4 hours and lo and behold, no more knots/tangling. I’m going to henna load every 2 weeks for 2-3 months like I did before to get it to mid-back length, then I’ll slow to once a month like before. I used to sleep in it but that’s a tediousness I don’t want to do again, I was also working then so I didn’t have the time I have now. This time I will henna in the early morning and let it sit until afternoon (8 hours or so). After this example, I’m a henna head for life. I like long hair and I like it ON my head. Great post hun!👍🏾💜💙
Henna is life for your hair. I starter my natural hair journey in January 2020. I’m 67 and my hair is so healthy for my age. Adding some of my grandmothers secrets has done wonders for my hair. I’ll share pics. Love You Curly and Thank You and Green Beauty for your commitment to the Natural hair community.❤️ MamaJ
I used to have very long thick beautiful hair when i was young and due to stress, low iron and other factors my hair started falling out at 19yrs old. Badly. I tried so many things to a point of exhaustion and it never went anywhere. You have no idea how sad i felt about my hair, crying frustration all of it...From hair pills, rogaine, vivascal, anti thinning sprays, i tired them all. I knew about henna but never knew of henna treatment with oils. Well, thank goodness for Fareeda, Ive started doing this as of July of last year and my hair is so much better now. It has volume and feels good! I have before and after photos but i wasnt sure where to post them. One thing i did differently was to wet my hair before i put the oil in and then put on a heat cap for a hour or so. That really makes a difference. My goal is to completely have my thinning scalp/edges disappear. Some women here probably understand what bad and thinning hair feels like, It defeating. Anyway, God is good and there are amazing people like her out there to help spread the word about natural stuff thats been out for ages and it works, its healthy and doesnt break the bank but many of us are not aware of it. Ancient remedies worked for a reason. The market now is flooded with so much crap that gives you tons of promises, takes your $ and gives u nothing back. Trust in nature. I hope this works for you too. Im just a newbie on my hair journey and wishing for healthy think long hair. Amen 🙏🏻😅
It’s true my first use last week was amazing and I have 4c hair. My hair loves henna! It was so smooth and much more manageable throughout the week. I’m going to be using it every week and monitor my growth
I use the oils, and teas which have made a huge difference. When I wasn't deep conditioning as much as I do now. I did notice I was experiencing some shedding. Which stopped when I began to deep condition consistently. I can also tell that I have a bit of a reddish tint to my hair now. It looks lovely, even though I've never dyed my own natural hair, and never will.
I just watched your video and you're absolutely right about henna. I've been using it in my hair for roughly about three years. My hair was thin and extremely short from using perms and heat. I started using henna because of grey strands not realizing its properties. My routine was basic using henna for coloring and wearing protective hair styles. Three years later my hair is mid shoulder length and appears healthy. Of course my routine included dietary changes... natural oils only in my hair and of course henna. I just wanted to validate your video and show support. You're telling the truth about henna. I wish you the best!
@@paulaevans6291 Yes it covers the grey ...there are two ways in which you can accomplish this. You can use Apple Cider vinegar ( preferably Bragg's) or lemon juice. I believe it depends on the brand you purchase. Grey hair is difficult to dye which I'm sure you're aware but henna does work. Now depending on how often you wash your hair you can get about six weeks maybe longer but of course new hair growth is another issue. The best thing about henna is that it's not harmful to your hair so you can use when you need to and it's a plant so you can't go wrong. I should mention there are several colors but be mindful of the brand. I use a brand called Rainbow. I heard some henna is laced with other substances that isn't good for your hair. I hope I was helpful in answering your question. Take care of yourself.
I big chopped again in 2017 and here I am with almost full bra strap length just following your advice. Whether it be hair growth oil, glosses ayurvedic herbs, rice water (and rice masks in my case)... it definitely benefited me. My 2year hair anniversary is this month. Hoping to get some serious length by December. Thanks a lot and keep sharing good content ♥️
I do appreciate you educating us about how to use this product. I have purchased my Henna, because of you and many other RUclipsr's. I cannot wait to try out your recipe and also to see a drastic change in how my hair feels and how it is taking to the product. Thank you again.
@@CurlyProverbz Hello, I was looking for info on how to use aloe vera and found your channel. I love your hair. I was looking at someone's channel and she said that aloe vera can dry the hair out. I'm not sure what to do. I bought 4 large leaves and don't want it to go to waste. I've heard about henna, but just thought it was a natural dye, but when I saw that it helps grow the hair, I was sold. Does henna have to be used on natural hair? I have a perm and would like to know when will it be safe to use? Can you tell me what is good to detangle the hair? Thanks
Hi Farida! 👋🏽 I just want to thank you even though it’s probably a bit too soon. 😅 After my 3rd setback in my hair growth journey, (I lost 5 inches due to mechanical damage about a month ago and *still* have some damaged cuticles) I have *finally* decided to use henna. I tried cassia about a month and a half ago and was blown away! I had high hopes that I would only need a small trim (my last was in January) But after going in for my trim and losing so many inches, I decided no more. I immediately jumped online ordered Henna and many other Ayurvedic powders! Lol 😂 Henna was the last thing I hadn’t tried. Well, last week, I used a full out henna mask and honestly my hair seems transformed! 😱 All of my fears all these years of my hair becoming too dark or turning bright red were unfounded. I wish I would have started when I first started following your channel about 4 years ago, but I was a chicken and still wanted to do balayage, etc. Well I can definitely say it wasn’t worth it. 😑 I will never go back. 🙌🏽 Today I have made a henna gloss and I’m excited to finally be on this Ayurvedic journey towards waist length hair! It’s honestly all thanks to you sharing your journey. Thank you!
You are 100% on POINT !!! Yes, the results are AMAZING!!! I'm using your henna tea recipe daily for 1 month and I henna weekly INCREDIBLE!!! super happy and thank you for such informative to the point videos
Sayan 25 Hi I use it as a daily spray leave in I have high porosity hair so my hair loves the protein I also use Curly Proverbz original Oil hair growth recipe without the Vit C as I take Vit C internally just a FYI the oil is for the strands to keep them hydrated and the henna. tea recipe is for the roots just go to her videos it will validate the information I have said hope this help 😊
I have truly benefited from your knowledge of ayuvedic treatments. I've been natural for about 3 years and the Henna mask as well as rose and aloe powder has been a game changer for my hair.
Thanks for sharing ur tips! I always know when it’s time to henna - more tangles and frizzies. Last week I did a gloss and curls popped everywhere from the roota to the toota! My recipe is super simple - one box Jamila BAQ and 2 cups aloe. I never need a moisturizing deep conditioner afterwards with this combo. I hope this helps someone.
@@yellacubanmiss to "activate" the henna (release the dye) it should be mixed with a water-based liquid, a warm one will release more quickly. But once the henna is mixed, many people enjoy adding some oil to the mix for softening and making it easier to apply. I prefer to add conditioner, but it's just a personal preference. JBCO would work fine as an addition.
Help please? Curly stated she use (gloss) henna treatment on a weekly basis but on the henna packaging it says use every 4-5 weeks. Im confused. I dont want it to dry my hair out but I'd rather use it the way she does to get the results she have. Any suggestions? Thanks!
I have used Henna thanks to you for about 4 years. It’s as bomb as you say. I mix mine with coconut milk. It’s very conditioning and makes it easier to wash out.
Your hair is great and it make you one of the most beautiful women in the world. I watch your channel because you teach women how to look as good as you. You do a great job. And you have a great personality which makes you a ten
Love henna because of you! I had a bad experience with it ten years ago but listening to you and applying it how you suggest has helped so much. Thank you!
Thank you I will use it I had tried it years ago but didnt notice benefits. I will use MSM too. You gave more ways to use the henna product and I appreciate that. Your hair is beautiful thank you for sharing how you have done that.
I have been following you for at least to years and appreciate the generosity you put into your content. It has made all the difference to restoring my hair after allergic reaction. All praise to God for directing me to your channel. God bless you and family.
Love ur vids and I just started using henna in my hair regime. I once had hair length down to my lower back and after a long hospitalization I noticed after I got home my hair was butcher and it's never been the same. So here I am not trying to regrow my hair. Thank you for ur help!
🙌🏽Thank you so much for the time you have taken to produce this channel🙌🏽. Introducing henna into my hair care regimen has totally changed my type 4 hair. It is now more manageable, strong, thicker and more able to retain length as a result. Although I have been natural for 15 years, I never understood how to manage my hair, so kept it in braids. It grew long, but was thin, brittle and dry. Total transformation now as of 1 1/2 years ago. I use a full henna mask ever 4-5 weeks; glosses in between and infuse an oil to use on my scalp and to seal my hair. Thank you. 🙏🏽
Your videos really changed my hair! In December I had to cut a little over 2 inches off due to neglect. I knew I had to change my regime! I have started using Ayurvedic powders and your oils along with MSM and my hair is sooooo much thicker. It has only been a month ( oils) and a couple of months with the powders . I had to cut my split ends three weeks ago but even with cutting a lot I can still see the growth. My hair feels so much stronger. It doesn’t snap when I am styling it and my curls have come back to life which means shrinkage which makes me so happy. I was afraid my curl patterned has changed but it was because I wasn’t caring for my hair properly so I am very happy. Thanks for sharing such wonder tips with us!
Were you ever on Long Hair Care Forum? It's a forum for women of color and all of this ayurvedic hair care was HUGE on there starting from early 2000. I found out about this stuff in 2008 when I joined that forum. Auyerveda is the best for hair, IMO. I suppose this is all new in RUclips world though. Anyone interested in even more info about ayurvedic hair care for type 3 and 4 hair check out the forum. It's a great resource! ETA: Henna Sooq is great! Hey Ladies ,I decided to go natural when I turned 40 .I have fine hair it tangled easily. I wanted stronger and thicker hair .I was not happy with my progress so started to do further research thank goodness for Curly Proverbz . From my 1wash I could see the difference . I wear protective hairstyles because my ends is so sensitive .and I can see my strands is definitely thicker .I'm not where I want to be but not going back from where I came from thanks to the Henna mix. At the moment I use the Henna gloss and the Henna en fenugreek oil. I'm very happy with my results 😃☺️ yippee
I started my henna/ayurveda journey 6mths ago and I'm sooo in love with the gloss and the tea spray!!!!! To already have thick hair and to visibly see it get thicker is a major plus. The oil is bomb as well....just watch every video and that's all you will ever need. I'm trying to be like @curlyproverbez down to my hips
I use coffee with my henna because of your suggestion but I would love to see your actual recipe for how you use it. Please bless us with your knowledge on henna and coffee!!!
Thank you very much for the Skillshare 2months free. Loving your videos. I have had the ' 'organic henna green hair '! My hair has stood still at my shoulder when fully stretched for years time for a change. You have made my half term holiday, thank you x
i use henna for a year and had crazy growth and my hair was manageable and i couldn’t understand what was i doing until ran across this video thank you and may god bless you i will immediately start back using my henna along with msm
Curly Proverbz, I am about to testify! LADIES, PLEASE, PLEASE LISTEN TO ME!! Earlier today I had a consultation with a natural hair stylist. I wanted to find a good stylist for diva cuts and new styles. I mentioned to her my hair has less body, curl pattern, and thickness because my hair care routine changed about 6 months ago, and one major difference was my henna usage. I became lazy and stopped my henna treatments and my hair has paid the price. After much discussion, we created an action plan that include more frequent trims/cuts and new protective styles. However, the major change will be incorporate henna back into my hair care routine. Curly, girl, I've watched all your videos. For two years, I regularly used your mask, gloss, tea, and oil and my hair was thick, healthy, with a popping curl pattern. Loved your videos so much bought your cassia product a few years ago. I was thinking about all your henna videos on the drive home. Arrived home went to your YT channel and saw this new video. I call you my "Henna Angel" (LOL) and view your video today as a sign that your spirit is with me saying, "Girl, just get back on track... you know power of henna!" Ladies, please believe Curly when she says henna will change your hair for the better. She is RIGHT! There's a major difference after you start using it and after you stop. I SWEAR will never stop using henna again. THANKS CURLY!
@@CurlyProverbz I have to agree. I went back to your OL SKOOL videos for the directions in the henna gloss (weekly treatments) and whipped henna butters. I need to locate that video you have for the slippery elm...something. it was a detangler i think. Marahmaow root was used. You are the Henna Angel. I know youndidnt invent henna, but you surely took it from a "DIY natural way to dye hair" genre to "The Tea on how to GROW THESE CURLY STRANDS!" And you didntnstop there. Through collabs and even your own research you continue to develop routines, refresh your videos, and give new information as it arrives. BLESS YOU. Your hair texture is similar mine, 3c/4a except i am high porosity hair. I hope with prolonged use we can correct that issue.
Your channel had been such a blessing to me. I started using herbs about 3 weeks ago - infused oils, cleansing my scalp - and I did my first henna gloss in years this past weekend and the changes I have seen so far have been significant.
After learning about the benefits of henna from your videos, I've been using your recipes and oils you recommended and my hair has been thriving. Thankyou so much for sharing your knowledge to the world 💕🙏
It works! This is some of the best advice I’ve had in my natural hair journey. My shedding decreased dramatically after introducing henna into my wash day. I do the henna gloss. So, I mix one spoon of henna with water to make a paste (I prepare this the night before wash day and let it sit overnight so that the Lawson dye can take effect) and I put that into my deep conditioner. After deep conditioning, I do the LCO method and style. Game changer!!!! I am retaining massive amounts of length. Thank you 🙏🏽 !!!!
My hair dresser has been telling me for years to try henna for my delicate hair. Now that it's thinning, and after watching ALL of Curly Proverbz' videos, I tried henna...I LOVE IT!! 1) I had to wait for 4 weeks after chemical colour before trying. 2) I am 50% gray, so I will add indigo tomorrow - but wow, does my hair feel strong after the first use! 3) went into the sauna with head wrapped in plastic wrap, since heat intensifies the application 4) washed thoroughly but did not shampoo 5) I then deep conditioned without oils after rinsing henna; added 4 protective plaits 6) I'm waiting 2 days before adding indigo as my gray roots do appear a tad light brown vs brown/black that I want Thank you Farida. I love all of your videos.
Thank you so much for this video, I am definitely going to use it more. I've only used it as a dye, first I used to buy the dye in the store, but lately I made my own mix, I loved it, it came out way better, so I believe I got good pure henna. Even just using it as dye, it makes my hair stronger, and stretching my hair has definitely become easier, so I think it's bomb too :D. Keep those henna videos coming :D
Hey Dey, I have gray hair coming in and started using a rinse. I really don't like it because it can get messy. I've never used dye and is afraid to. How long does the color last? Thanks
You have gorgeous hair...I'm on a journey with my hair and I'm following all your instructions...my hair has stayed at collarbone for years....just in the short time of using Ayervedic hair care I notice a difference in my hair...I have yet to use henna that's my next step! Thank you your videos are awesome and so are you!!!
I did henna treatment today. I felt the strength more today then the 1st time I did it. So I understand the gangster part Curly Proverbs. Thanks I love it.
Bro, I literally just looked at her face and hit subscribe. I didn’t care what her content was, I just decided I had to follow her since she’s so beautiful 😂😂😂
My hair is almost waist length, thanks to you! I follow most of your care tips. The use of oils, ayuveda, Natty Naturals products and my favorite MSM powder have work miracles on my hair! thanks so much! you should start your own hair care company!
Girl, your channel is amazing why did it take me so long to discover it. I love the way you explain the science behind ingredients in an articulate way that is easy to understand.Transitioning to natural after 20+ years of being relaxed. Trying your Fenugreek oil to boost my hair growth and reduce some of my grays. Keep up the excellent work from a fellow Londoner.
I love love love Red Raj henna from Hennasoq ❤️❤️❤️. Henna with chebe is bae ❤️❤️❤️. I do not use lemons in mine because Hennasoq said you shouldn’t use it. The fenugreek oil recipe is bomb diggidy for hair growth and length retention ❤️❤️❤️
Naturally Dunn I love the Red Raj as well. I just used the 25% off. I think they mentioned that the henna is acidic enough. I don’t want the added dryness from lemon myself . The Lawsonne dye in Red Raj with just water is amazing.
OMGGGG... I AM SOOOO HAPPY THAT YOU HAVE DONE THIS VIDEO.... I WAS PRAAAAYING for you to hook us up!!! You were my inspiration to go natural and i need for it to grow faster. I want it to be lengthy and healthy not just lengthy so thank you SO MUCH!
Try using fenugreek I found that a girl my hair and I was not even trying to have it going my hair was taking it for milk production but it does a great job in growing here I found out😃
@@hellokitty2552 Agreed! However I think things maybe a bit more complex than that. If henna strengthens the hair and closes the cuticles even more in low porosity hair then chances are one can being dealing with a lot more coarseness and dryness. In addition if henna's strength is so great that chemicals and dyes aren't effective what hope will water have in moisturizing low porosity hair.
I’ve just started using henna fenugreek and alma powders and my curls are really changing for the good thank you for all the wonderful information love your channel 😍😍😍😍
Ebony Keys I’m about to make a mix with exactly those ingredients today! What changes have you seen with the fenugreek added? Curious as I’ve only done henna/Amla before.
That is awesome Mrs Prove, I am currently using MSM and rice water because I want to share my results with all the curious minds like myself. So far the journey has been quiet interesting.😌
IDK if my hair is growing because of your suggestions or not but I do know that I've added henna and other ayurvedic powders to my deep conditioner as you've suggested and I experience little to no shedding or breakage. My hair always feels strong and my curl definition has improved significantly. I can actually do wash n gos now whereas in the past they just looked like a nappy fro! I will always add these powders to my conditioner. I have high porosity, color treated hair that is protein sensitive so I add a super moisturizing conditioner and leave in to balance everything out.
@curlyproverbz I have used henna in the past to treat my daughters severe plaque psoriasis on her scalp when nothing g else was working. Your channel and videos have opened my eyes to the many other benefits of henna in hair and also ways to use it. I have since started using it in oil and gloss forms for myself and my daughters hair and have noticed growth in weakened edges as well as thickness and it has only been a little over 30 days. Keep up the amazing work I will start tracking length next month and keep your subs posted but you my dear are the bomb.Com
Henna is the best! It's worth the work, especially if you have fine strands or naturally high porosity hair that's prone to breakage. I'm re-committing to being a henna head. I first learned about it from Curly Nikki. The best resources have been Curly Proverbz and Henna Sooq.
Your hair is absolutely beautiful. Ok, update. After looking at several of your videos and two years of videos and studying henna was concerned because of a gray patch in the front of my head. Henna has been wonderful. I’ve earned my wisdom streaks but for now I am enjoying the beautiful harvest color brown that my henna does for my hair. My hair is growing nicely. I haven’t used any of your other recipes on the maintenance but I’m certain I’ll get to it. Thank you for sharing from the USA. Miss AC Mcgowan
I've been using Cassia because my hair/scalp did not agree with the Henna. My hair has been thriving over the past month. Thanks for making that alternative suggestion.
Thank you for sharing tips on how to easily use henna (henna tea) .I watched your video 4 years ago. I now have waist length hair and growing it more. PS:hair in dp is a weave.
I love your videos about henna. I've been watching them for years however I finally jumped on the henna boat with you last year and omg my hair has gotten wayyyy thicker and its the longest it has ever been. I've been doing the henna glosses every week which has been great. However, I need to let them seep I don't really do that I realize. Thanks for much for all the tips that you always give :)
You are the reason I started using henna and I still use it to this day.... I have been natural for 6years and my hair is past bra length thanks to henna because I have never had long hair. You are also the reason I purchased from Belle bar and will continue to. Thank you for all your help and honest reviews.
Emma MacGregor You would need to add indigo as well. This is how I cover my gray hair. Hennasooq has videos on RUclips as well on how to successfully cover gray. The products that are already mixed together say henna for dark brown hair aren’t the greatest for covering a lot or stubborn grays.
Even though I’m not very consistent, your recipes have helped me grow my hair to armpit length! It’s crazy to me cause I always think it’s so short but it’s growing. Thank you so much 😊

Do u moisturize after using henna? Because it dried my hair
@@Icookiebizzle09 Yes I do deep condition after each use. But what I found the best is to use it as a gloss and in the infused oil.
@@Icookiebizzle09 did you incorporate the MSM?
Semegn Damesa Did u find that that Henna inside the oil ever dried out ur hair. And how much did u use?
So you used henna glosses for your 7year old? I have a 8 and 5 y/o and need something for them as well
How to use henna
Thanks babe honestly sometimes I see my EXACT recipes and even word for word the same explanations and funny stories and I am like REALLY? 🤣😂
Yes! Curly Proverbz is the ayurveda queen and now other RUclipsrs are hopping on the henna train and taking credit!
IKR I see people doing what she did and I'm like I've seen this before
Exactly, Farida gives credit where it is due (e.g. the clips from Green Beauty).
Will this work if indigo is added. How often to use
Can you tell the best Henna and indigo you use and how to make both and use Please 🙏
Thank you so much. I want to cry. This info shared is so helpful. I want to give up wigs and weave and wear my own hair. I have been wearing weave for 20 years. Time to be natural.
you can do it. stay encouraged. keep doing your research and learn about your hair.
Go for it! I gave up weaves about a yr ago and it's amazing. And hair maintenance is a really fun hobby❤️
So happy that you enjoyed these herbs too X
She knows what she talking about🙌🏽
Thank you babe X
Curly Proverbz Nothing but the truth
Curly Proverbz Hey I’ve recently dyed my hair honey blonde I left the dye in for too long and now I have colour damage and orange hair!🤦🏽♀️ I want to use henna to dye my hair back to a natural colour . What henna would you recommend and what colour do you think it’d leave my hair aswell ? x

I’ve used the infused oil with henna, olive oil and essential oils for my little girls (she’s 4) for 2 years now. Major hair growth!!! Her hair length is middle of her back and to her chest.
Gm. Please tell us how much oil, henna and essential oils you use to make the infusion.
How did you do it?
She not gonna tell yall how she did it 🙄

👏👏👏 yessssss! Love her channel too!
From my 1st use of henna as a mask, my hair was almost double the thickness! My sisters were surprised and went out and bought some henna!
Queen Valarine that’s amazing ❤️❤️❤️👏🏾🙀
I love Greenbeauty channel. Thanks for featuring her. Love you both actually
I wish you would do a weekly routine showing how you use all these products and style your hair and moisturize it like a all in one detail and summerization video
Not to be curt but her methods are catered for her hair. You just have to try on your own and learn your hair.
The BEST channel on RUclips, hands down!
YEEEESSSSS!!! 💯% AGREEMENT
My favorite line in this whole video: “Let me tell you something....henna - it did NOT come to play!” 17:42
I've used your recipes for two years now and my hair is the longest and healthiest it's ever been! Thank you Ferida😊
Which one?
Yes more henna videos please. Also include updated ayurvedic herbs treatments you may have ☺️. I love your diy and advice videos!
What happens if you’d stop using these different things?
@@bumba8154 There's no adverse effects if you stop. And, I've found over time your hair may need different things. So, there's benefits to stopping to help you see what's working for you & what's not.
@@DriDriezy03 ahh ok, that’s good to know. In terms of length, did you lose any when you stopped?
Congratulations! Would you mind sharing some of the oil mixtures you use and how frequently?
Started my journey of using henna on 5/3/2020. I have binged watched all your videos. Can’t wait to see results. Thank you 😘
How is it so far? I just bought my henna 2 days ago and did my first gloss yesterday. She made me so exited!

THE ABSOLUTE BEST, MOST WELL DETAILED EXPLAINED, KNOWLEDGEABLE, MATURE HAIR GROWTH RESCUE CHANNEL I’VE COME ACROSS!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
So, when I went in for a yearly blow-out and trim, I had to cut it back off to just under shoulder length.🙄🤦🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️
It felt great for about 3 weeks, then it started tangling in the roots.🙄
I washed, deep conditioned and oiled it...the knots came out but I was irritated and afraid to have to keep cutting my hair off.

How long do you leave it on your hair?
Hey preyn49. Does henna cover the gray hairs well and how long? Thanks
@@preyn49 Hey! Thank you for the info and Happy New Year!
I big chopped again in 2017 and here I am with almost full bra strap length just following your advice. Hoping to get some serious length by December. Thanks a lot and keep sharing good content ♥️

After my 3rd setback in my hair growth journey, (I lost 5 inches due to mechanical damage about a month ago and *still* have some damaged cuticles) I have *finally* decided to use henna. I tried cassia about a month and a half ago and was blown away! I had high hopes that I would only need a small trim (my last was in January) But after going in for my trim and losing so many inches, I decided no more. I immediately jumped online ordered Henna and many other Ayurvedic powders! Lol 😂
Henna was the last thing I hadn’t tried. 🙌🏽
Today I have made a henna gloss and I’m excited to finally be on this Ayurvedic journey towards waist length hair! It’s honestly all thanks to you sharing your journey. Thank you!

Lol
I just made some henna + hibiscus tea for a gloss tomorrow, great timing!
Perfect.... Sounds lush! Enjoy x
I’m wondering if you can mix the henna with jbco?
@@yellacubanmiss to "activate" the henna (release the dye) it should be mixed with a water-based liquid, a warm one will release more quickly. But once the henna is mixed, many people enjoy adding some oil to the mix for softening and making it easier to apply. I prefer to add conditioner, but it's just a personal preference. JBCO would work fine as an addition.
Lindsey Burnside thank you for responding. Very helpful.
Help please? Curly stated she use (gloss) henna treatment on a weekly basis but on the henna packaging it says use every 4-5 weeks. Im confused. I dont want it to dry my hair out but I'd rather use it the way she does to get the results she have. Any suggestions? Thanks!
My hair has definitely gotten stronger the curls loosen. About to go make me some infused oil now thanks for all your tips!

ETA: Henna Sooq is great! Khadija, the owner, used to be on the hair forum back in the day as well.
I've used henna twice now from your recommendations and it has changed my hair game! My hair has never been glossier or healthier.
So happy to see your new video! Henna is where it’s at!! You have helped me so much on my natural hair journey ❤️❤️❤️❤️and thank you🙏🏽
I use coffee with my henna because of your suggestion but I would love to see your actual recipe for how you use it. Please bless us with your knowledge on henna and coffee!!!
Thank you very much for the Skillshare 2months free. Loving your videos. I have had the ' 'organic henna green hair '! My hair has stood still at my shoulder when fully stretched for years
time for a change. You have made my half term holiday, thank you x
Thank you for taking the time to create this video my love💕💕
Awww thank you xox
i use henna for a year and had crazy growth and my hair was manageable and i couldn’t understand what was i doing until ran across this video thank you and may god bless you i will immediately start back using my henna along with msm
I call you my "Henna Angel" (LOL) and view your video today as a sign that your spirit is with me saying, "Girl, just get back on track... you know power of henna!"
Ladies, please believe Curly when she says henna will change your hair for the better. She is RIGHT! There's a major difference after you start using it and after you stop. I SWEAR will never stop using henna again. THANKS CURLY!
THANK YOU FOR TESTIFYING! xox Very encouraged.
I love how you only called her Curly, it made me giggle
I’m confused... what happened to your hair after you stopped using henna? So once I start..I have to use it every week? Or what will happen?
@@itsmidtrib1569 I lost some of my body, thickness, and my curls were limp and hair dry.
Your channel had been such a blessing to me. I started using herbs about 3 weeks ago - infused oils, cleansing my scalp - and I did my first henna gloss in years this past weekend and the changes I have seen so far have been significant.
I wanna use henna... I've been a fan for awhile..So I'ma swallow my fears and do it..😮.. more on henna .💕
3) went into the sauna with head wrapped in plastic wrap, since heat intensifies the application
4) washed thoroughly but did not shampoo
5) I then deep conditioned without oils after rinsing henna; added 4 protective plaits
6) I'm waiting 2 days before adding indigo as my gray roots do appear a tad light brown vs brown/black that I want
Thank you Farida.
I ❤️ the way Henna changes my hair color/ as well as loosen my curl pattern
To which color does henna makes your hair to change?
Hey Patricia, what color did it change your hair and did it change back to the natural color? Thanks
@@paulaevans6291 a sandy brown color
@@nubian_melaninqueen4473 Thanks
It is true love since I start using Henna my hair history has changed. Am in love with it. Thanks for sharing
I love your videos. Your henna tips have helped me grow my hair so much! Thank you
Thank you babe ❤️
I did henna treatment today. I felt the strength more today then the 1st time I did it. So I understand the gangster part Curly Proverbs. Thanks I love it.
You're welcome..xx
Bro, I literally just looked at her face and hit subscribe. I didn’t care what her content was, I just decided I had to follow her since she’s so beautiful 😂😂😂
My exact thoughts!!
😃👍
Me too! Lol. But may I say... u are absolutely beautiful yourself!😍
Bro? She’s a woman and so are we love 😌
And you look like a runway model XD
My hair is almost waist length, thanks to you! I follow most of your care tips. The use of oils, ayuveda, Natty Naturals products and my favorite MSM powder have work miracles on my hair! thanks so much! you should start your own hair care company!
I’m sold!! Love you thank you so much!! You have beautiful hair and that is enough proof for me. Xx
Zoë H thanks babe... yes come back and tell me how you get on! X
My sister swears by your henna routine so tonight is my first time trying it. I’m ready for thicker, longer hair! ✨💕😄
Hey CP, I would love to see you do a video for a full month of your hair routine.
A. Smith 💯❣️
Try using fenugreek I found that a girl my hair and I was not even trying to have it going my hair was taking it for milk production but it does a great job in growing here I found out😃
You should explore the effects of henna on low porosity hair. I found it made my hair drier. Glad you had great results though.
You have to make sure you condition and moisturize your hair after. It makes your hair drier because it made your hair strands stronger.
Hi out in sone oil thsts the secret☺
So what's better for growth? MSN or Henna or rice water?
Can you plz plzzzz do a video on your nighttime routine with all of that gorgeous hair 😍😍
Please do
Your hair is absolutely beautiful.
I have bra strap length and I purchase some cassia that I will be trying next wash day. Thank you for bringing us into the world of Aryvedic herbs! 💕
hiii, where did you get cassia from? Whenever i search for it, they just tell me cinnamon?
I've been using Cassia because my hair/scalp did not agree with the Henna. My hair has been thriving over the past month. Thanks for making that alternative suggestion.
Write 2 Inspire Hey. I am a little afraid of Henna too. If you don’t mind explaining.. what were your results after using Cassia?
I love your hair. I am nervous about trying henna. Working my way up to incorporating ayurvedic herbs
I use cassia because I'm nervous to use Henna too. I so want to progress to Henna but and worried about it staining everything or discolouring my hair
Thank you for sharing tips on how to easily use henna (henna tea) .I watched your video 4 years ago. I now have waist length hair and growing it more.
PS:hair in dp is a weave.
Yes more henna videos 😘
Thank you curlyproverbs
I love your videos about henna. I've been watching them for years however I finally jumped on the henna boat with you last year and omg my hair has gotten wayyyy thicker and its the longest it has ever been. I've been doing the henna glosses every week which has been great. However, I need to let them seep I don't really do that I realize. Thanks for much for all the tips that you always give :)
So excited when I watch your videos!! Love ya girl!
Thanks babe xox
You are the reason I started using henna and I still use it to this day.... I have been natural for 6years and my hair is past bra length thanks to henna because I have never had long hair. You are also the reason I purchased from Belle bar and will continue to. Thank you for all your help and honest reviews.
Congratulations on wonderful growth and health!!! Do you have greys to cover? This has been my henna challenge on dark brown curly hair.
Emma MacGregor You would need to add indigo as well. This is how I cover my gray hair. Hennasooq has videos on RUclips as well on how to successfully cover gray. The products that are already mixed together say henna for dark brown hair aren’t the greatest for covering a lot or stubborn grays.
@@TracyD2 Thanks for replying for the info, Tracy! I will check her out now. Cheers! :)
Even though I’m not very consistent, your recipes have helped me grow my hair to armpit length! It’s crazy to me cause I always think it’s so short but it’s growing. Thank you so much 😊
