Will ridex unclog my washing machine drywell, I didn't know it could get clog , after 3 years of use, our washing machine drywell can only handle one small load per day. Will a treatment of Ridex solve the problem or will I have to dig and redo my drywell? Thank you
@@JoeSmith-dh1rz thank you for your input. I am not handy, so I am taking your comments to my local Home Depot to implement your suggestion fort Cloth Washer Machine Drywell problem
@@Mr5Stars its pretty simple to build just use a clamp to keep hose inside ure in biz .it's a good idea it won't plug up Rock in the ground cause once it's clogs theirs not much you can do then move it or dig it all up and clean the rock and put it back in the ground
Yup. Three plumbers and we couldn’t figure out why our 1953 house washer was backing up. Snaked it many times, just kept going… finally last plumber was like… I’m at 100ft and that’s not right. He figured out we had an old washer well. UNDER 10” of CONCRETE. Previous owners - morons. So we had to jackhammer to access it. Sawsall a huge hole, had a septic company come drain (we now have a sump pump) and then power wash it to restore drainage. We do this once every 6-8 months now. We need to relocate it or try to tie it in but our main is on the totally other side of the house. What a nightmare lol. We don’t do much laundry either 😂
What I dont understand about this system is where does the water go if it hits the landscaping fiber? Is the fiber porous so the water can escape after it filters thru the gravel?
Hey Brad, Gaston County! I live in Stanly County and I need this done on my property. Do you know who I can call to have this installed? What happens if your washing machine water is more than your drywell? Or you wash multiple loads?
Donna it depends on the tank capacity for example if you install a 55 gallon tank and your washer uses 20 gallon of water per wash : you can do two load. You also need to figure out your soil percolation ( it will tell you how quick water gets absorbed ). that depends on the type of soil.
Thanks for the video. I have to change this part on my Rabbit. Wish I had seen it before I bought the OEM parts. The aluminum look much better
Thank you for this video as we are dealing with this same issue. Did you close the top off? How did it turn out a year later?
Remember to always treat that after a year, detergents eventually create a barrier over time and clog the drilled holes , you can use ridex.

Good video I'll be using this as we just had the same issue. 👍🏼👍🏼
LOVE THIS!!
Interested in updates on how this is holding up.
I didn't see if an answer on did you put on a top cover on the cat's basin
Very good!
Thanks. Looks like some hard work. What was the capacity and how many loads do you think you can run before it fills up?
The lint from the cloths will plug up the holes. Put a screen over the drainage by the washer,
Thats what i though as soon as i seen a clump of lint drop in...those holes will be plugged in no time
Looks good. How about a cover, what did you use?

yes, the fabric just keeps the gravel away from the dirt.
Is the lint filter in the home? Washing machines create many lint fiber particulates.
I agree about the lint. I have a Septic Solutions lint filter in my laundry room to help prolong the life of my soakaway
