If you think about it, Naruto's clones actually give him all of the experience they've learnt to him when they go away. So since he's using his clones to fight hand to hand mostly, he's exponential training in taijutsu every fight with all of his clones added experiences.

Not only that Sasuke points out that Naruto’s shadow clone is where he is the most pain the in the ass for anybody. Bro, Naruto improved drastically during the time skip. Everyone is sleeping on the proof and the improvement he made, it's so annoying lol. Yes out of the 3 he improved the least. Sasuke got the biggest power up, Sakura became a doctor and for the 1st time relevant in a fight. However Naruto increased alot as well.
This was made clear with his tag team fight against Kakashi. Pre-time skip Kakashi could man handle all of team 7 without his sharigan. After the time skip Kakashi thought he could man handle Naruto again but then found a Kunai at his throat. Yes Kakashi used a shadow clone to escape but one could say he was forced to. Kakashi quickly realized he would need to use the sharigan to fight off naruto and Sakura. Jiraiya also warned Kakashi about taking naruto seriously and he knew kakashi's strength. Even if it's 2 on 1 its still very impressive to push non MS Kakashi to his limits. Mind you this was Base Naruto. Base Naruto honestly might have been able to take Kakashi in a fight without his sharigan at this point. That might be a little high balling but being in non sharigan Kakashi league is still very impressive.
Naruto improved in 4 main areas.
    1. Taijutsu
    2. Base Speed
    3. Chakra Control
    4. Kurama Chakra Control
Taijustsu and Speed were demonstrated with his fight against Kakashi that I already covered. Chakra control was shown when he launched the big ball rasengan which is no small feat. That's a lot of Chakra while taking shape transformation to the highest level. This also demonstrated his increased control over kurama's Chakra because he tapped into it hence the red eyes. During the time skip Jiraiya determined that Naruto could control the nine tails cloak up to 3 tails and at 4 he loses control. Naruto was able to use this mode of his own free will. Any time he got mad it started coming out but thats only because he knows how to use it. It wasn't just the seal weakening. Naruto was just scared to use it because of what happened to Jiraiya but he knew how to use it at will. That alone took a lot of his time skip and for the power boost it was well worth it.
My point is don't sleep on how strong Naruto got from the time skip. From being dogged on by Kakashi to forcing him to use his sharigan, Base naruto mind you, is no small feat.
Just in case I didn't have enough time to finish the video just yet, ill do that later today after work.,

Most people failed to realize that Naruto had a sannin master way before Sasuke and Sakura. They had their own sannin master at the end of part 1. So I guess it's no wonder why people think Naruto seemed "less improved" compared to those two since he already learned how to tap into kurama's chakra, learned the summoning jutusu, and the rasengan thanks to Jiraiya in part 1 while the others just got their improvements during the time skip.
If Naruto didn't learned any of those things when he first met Jiraiya but instead during the time skip I think people's opinions about it would be different.

For those who aren't martial arts practitioners themselves, or do not know what Wing Chun is I'll help explain: Wing Chun is a style of Chinese Kung-Fu, shown extremely well in the movie series Ip Man (HIGHLY recommend). Wing Chun is also called Sticky Hands, cause you're basically so close to your opponent, you try and almost picture them as a box in front of you, and you use your different limbs to counter their attacks before they can connect with you, and then counter attack yourself. It's honestly fucking AWESOME for Six to point this out, cause I didn't realize it exactly till he said that, but he's 100% right.

I dont remember where I read this but it was said that Naruto trained more with the hyuga clan which also grew this taijutsu capabilities when he got with Hinata and her clan. I recognized wing chun off naruto because it's another fighting style close to Bagua which is used in "gentle fist" and also Bagua was used as a basis for Airbending in Avatar the last airbender.
It's interesting to see the boxing stance on Naruto, because it strikes the question, "where could he have learned that?" I feel it was sort of a contemporary add in to show how Naruto kept up with his taijutsu training of all sorts.

There's a pretty gradual escalation of this through the manga with him creating feints vs neji, performing simultaneous attacks to break through the stronger defenses of characters like Gaara and Kiba and then using clone constructs to extend his range vs Sasuke. Then in the start of part 2 he's using them for stuff like dodging attacks while mid air or extending his range to parry Chiyo's attack on Kakashi. And after Kakashi teaches him about the memory storage of clones all hell kinda breaks loose lol. It's literally one move but he gets better at it with every single arc.

In the second Naruto v Sasuke fight at the end of Shippuden, he just casually whips out a rasengan with one hand. It's the first time I saw it, although others mentioned he accomplished this earlier. Regardless, it was a really cool nod to just how far he's come, in my eyes. No large dialogue or backstory accompanied the feat; in fact, no character mentions it at all. His signature move which he trained several weeks/months to learn, and had to accomplish by creating a clone originally, he perfected enough to be able to do single handedly without thinking about it at all.

This natural proficiency for prolonged hand to hand combat and his shadow clones made him adopt a strategy where he simply overwhelmed and out endured his enemies when they got into physical combat.

As he got older and started learning techniques that allowed him to better control his chakra like the nine tails control and sage mode he stopped relying on using sheer numbers and his own endurance for onslaught and started using very strategic fighting methods done in very fast aggressive manners to accomplish the same goal of overwhelming the target.

The hand to hand was incredible, but the trickery, fire style jutsu, mud wall, lightning clones... all of those things served to enhance the taijutsu portions of the fights without detracting from them. Also keeps things from getting stale, if every fight was just taijutsu, we'd very quickly lose appreciation for the choreography, and the animators/artists would have an increasingly hard time creating good choreography without constantly repeating themselves... though they've been doing that a lot in Boruto on purpose.

I actually in the anime fight of Naruto vs sasuke in shippuden Naruto was actually playing really good defense like mad solid. Naruto’s defense makes him a menace. Like if you rewatch that fight and analyze their hand to hand section it’s very clear Naruto isn’t getting thrown around but just more of Sasuke having a lot more essentially (map control) for when he’s pressing him so he can’t use the clones. And this is full base Naruto against sharingan at that point which is just amazing. Naruto playing on the defense definitely didn’t help him in making any true advancements on sasuke but it just really showed how much he is able to keep up in base alone. Which I also feel that if Naruto went full on just sage mode he would’ve just clapped sasuke on the spot with frog kata and the extra strength he gains he could’ve just threw sasuke and lowkey obliterated him but all in all it is nice seeing his taijutsu progress throughout shippuden. Great video my guy 👌🏾

That's what I have been telling people for years now , Naruto's taijutsu is criminally underrated . I don't know yet if it's mentioned in the video but personally I think the fact that he keeps up with people with visual abilities like sharingan Byakugan and rinnengan alone shows how good he is . People are forgetting that just by unlocking the third tomoe in his sharingan , Sasuke was able to keep up with 1-tail Naruto that was considered a huge buff for him at the time . Now consider him mastering the sharingan , unlocking the mangekyo and the rinnengan on top of that and Naruto can still somehow keep up with him at base . Not to mention adult Naruto swapping hands with fused momoshiki in base form ,In the manga especially

One of my favorite headcannons of naruto is naruto being a direct rival of one of the best sharingan users in the series, and having to keep up with the skill and dexterity of Sasuke in many direct encounters gives him a significant edge in most other taijutsu encounters, especially when you mix it with Sage Mode. His taijutsu skill really shines in the Shippuden: Power Arc (filler arc) when he no-diffs the faux nine-tails and of course when he and Sasuke jump momoshiki.

    • @krukblood-axe3649
      @krukblood-axe3649 Год назад +8

I mean, not really headcannon, it's just facts. Even in early Naruto, in his and Sasuke's rooftop fight, he was fighting a Sharingan user with enough speed to match weightless Lee, and was actually landing hits. He may not have that much finesse, but his raw reaction times can be ridiculous given the opponents he's fighting... which, to be fair, makes sense given that he's Minato's son, and Minato had high enough reaction times to teleport in front of Eighth Gate Guy charging at full speed, turn around, catch truth seeking orbs with his back, and immediately teleport back, all while Guy and the orbs were moving in slow motion compared to him, all in base form while a weakened Edo Tensei. At least some of those genetics are bound to have gone through to Naruto...

Myself I only realized how strong in taijutsu Naruto truly was after watching his fight in Baryon mode against Ishiki 😅 and then when I rewatched some episodes of Naruto and Naruto Shippuden and paid more attention to Naruto hand to hands fighting style, I realized that me and maybe many Canon character in the story actually underestimated how strong Naruto is in taijutsu 🙃

Naruto hasn't used the wind element that's rarely anyone had except for rasengan. They even showed that adding it to a weapon pierced like 10 trees with no problems. Same with Sasuke with his lightening sword. Used it once, but never again. It's like everybody has 1 unique ability and that's it.

Then in the next fight Sasuke uses his Sharingan copy ability to do the same combo and gets high praises from Kakashi. But THEN Naruto does the same combo and no one cares, Kakashi even mentions that it's a copy of a copy and thus dull. But bro, Rock is the the Taijutsu master, Sasuske used his super eye power to copy that Taijutsu skill but Naruto doesn't need any eye power, he just straight up does the same combo no explanation.
