- Southex, producers of CSM, licensed WINTV in 2013 as part of a contract to produce a series of shows showcasing the 'Legends of Chutney'. The 'Legends of Chutney' was going to be a highlight of the annual competition in 2013, and these 'Living Legends' at the time, were being recognized for their contribution at the annual competition. The shows, hosted by Shirvani Sookhai delve into the backgrounds of each artiste and highlights the contribution that they have made to the development of the Indo-Caribbean musical art forms, especially as they are related to Trinidad & Tobago. They are historical in nature and gives a good perspective of the early days of Indo-Caribbean culture in Trinidad & Tobago.

He was recently hospitalized I am guessing like Sam Boodram (1933-2020), Budran Holass is diabetic. The man has many hits/classics whether it's Classical, Semi-Classical, Chutney, Film Songs- Listen to him perform Mohammed Rafi's "Dhaulat Ke Jhooti". Like the legends of yesteryear, Issac Yankarran (1932-1969), Jameer Hosein (1939-2018), even Haniff Mohammed (1933-2006) this man is an institution himself!! God Bless 🙏 You Sir!!

December 17,2023- Budram Holass has passed into the ages. He was planning for a celebration on December 28- his 69th birthday 🎂🎂🍰🍰🎁🎁🎈🎈According to his sister Rukhminee, he had diabetes, he was suffering with breathing problems (the man lost both his legs due to diabetes & was blind). Rest in Peace Sir!!! You are in good company with other classical music icons- Yusuff Khan (1943-1991), Wonder Boy Issac Yankarran (1932-1969), Sam Boodram, Haniff Mohammed (1933-2006), Harry Mahabir (1934-2007), Jameer Hosein (1939-2018). Sing for the Lord & his angels now. 😇😇👼👼
