Your videos are excellent. I've been waiting for a simulator like this for 30 years. I'm 56 now and very happy with the progress of flight simulation. Amazing and exciting!
Thank you for the amazing video, Emanuel. I've been watching you for a decent while now, and your videos have shown and taught me more than I thought could be possible for flight simulation games. It's top tier. This video specifically was really great! I liked the sped-up part during the cruise with the music, which made the timelapse really satisfying to watch. The game's clouds look so much better than MSFS 2020's did. Though, my only complaint is that when you went over to the FO's seat for the approach briefing, you didn't do an impression of a woman's voice, lmao. Jokes aside, thanks for making my day; I'm sure I could speak for others who enjoy this type of content. :D
Watched this while on my way from Rome to Boston, in the A330-200, 8hr44 flight time. My second long haul ever. Learnt how to enter waypoints from this video, just before i got to my ETOPS Entry.
Another very informative video Emi. I am glad that you are identifying these small issues for inibuilds and hopefully they will be able to address them in future releases so that we can have a very high fidelity addon. Gute arbeit!
The Inibuilds A330 is awesome! It has every feature that a free default aircraft should have. Aerosoft is not going to make any money after fs2024's release.
@ It absolutely is! Runway 01L is definitely my favourite approach since you go over 3 bridges on final that connect st Pete with Tampa. The ILS system goes right over a major highway, going under there and seeing the planes land is insane!
It looks to me that right before landing MSFS automatically decreases quality as at the same time your framerate went down - there is quite some stuttering visible even on your quite beefy system. To me that seems not to be server related and instead (even if dynamic quality adjustment is switched off in settings) is some mechanism to prevent extreme low framerates. In general at low altitude (1000ft to 200ft AGL) MSFS24 seems to struggle keeping the frame times in check. I already reported on the official forum that something seems odd about LOD handling in general which leads also to blurry ground textures from 1000ft to 3000ft AGL independent of the hardware and map tile source used (well, I rerouted the tile source to Google maps - it's the same blurriness so it cannot be the servers. MSFS simply does not request higher resolution tiles for some reason). Clearly to me this is a bug within the thin client which they hopefully fix in one of the two upcoming patches.
loving your vids really well done good job ! i think you should do some tutorials one how to program the fms i'm a flight dispatscher and i'd love to learn more about certain things
What determines what the weather will be like in the simulator? Is it live weather? I think it's amazing (if true) that Simbrief/Navigraph takes this into account and even shows you areas of turbulence in flight planning. However, I assume that on a 10-hour flight the weather at the destination airport could be different due to the general forecast inaccuracy and you might have to take a different runway than planned, for example, if ATC orders this? Is it correct that you are now flying here without ATC? As far as MSFS 2024 is concerned, I lack a bit of an overview of whether Live Weather, ATC, Simbrief/Navigraph all work together consistently. Have you had any experience with this? Thank you very much for these really wonderfully instructive / educational videos. 👍
Been doing some Finnair routes today with the livery now available and the sim has worked pretty well but some weird loading stutters when close to airports when landing. However overall it’s been much better. Tbf the A330 is pretty good obviously you have the ultimate knowledge on thi plane 😊. Ultra real sim I see knew it be too hard to resist that flight 😅
Hi, I really enjoy watching your flights, a lot can be learned from them. I have a question about the chrono timer. You always turn it on on the runway when you depart. I was watching a video today of someone who also claimed to be a real Airbus pilot and he was turning on the chrono timer the moment he started taxiing. Is this up to each pilot, or is it internal airline regulations?
This is a good question - I would say to look at what that timer is used for. To me it appears it’s being used to time how long the engines have been running - after startup, I believe there needs to be some time between startup and takeoff to allow the engines to “warm up”? And on departure, I believe it’s used to make sure you don’t run the engines at takeoff power for too long?
I'm sure we'll get one eventually. Either Blue Bird or perhabs one day PMDG? The Horizon Sim isn't too bad either, indeed for freeware I find it amazing!
Hi Capt. Emanuel, thank you, again, for this wonderful video with educational effect ! Since you are using the A330 weather radar with different tilt angles in different phases: What is your overall impression about the FS2024 weather display capabilities ? In a former video you demonstrated, that the weather display (ND) did not represent the outside view impression (convections, CBs etc.). Are there any improvements ? If your time allows, could you kindly prepare a short video about your FS2024 weather radar experience, if other users of your channel agree ? Thank you, as always !
Hey Emi, question about the A330. Do all 330s come with the DCLB option, or is it an option airlines could ask to be installed into the aircraft one delivery?
Hi, as far as I am aware they all have the D-CLB fitted. At least I don't know any that doesn't and it's not marked as an optional system in my FCOM either.
Lovely Flight, I want to pursue this career, you make it look easy with the FMC's and such, but it seems intimidating! I assume it gets easier the more you use it and when your trained properly!
Hinting at its finest. I wonder if he knows Pilot PascalKlr. Also I know you usually strictly cover simulation, but it would be seriously cool to see some real world flight vlogs.
ive manage to generate a simbrief flight plan in the EFB (simbrief dispatch) but when i hit SimBrief button on the tablet in the plane nothing happens, just says "simbrief plan requested" but never gets green and loaded, what do i do wrong?
hello! i bought multiple airports from the market place in fs 2020 and a week ago they worked and carried over, but now they are in the "my library" but ofc i cant download them and they are not installed. if someone know how to fix this thank you! love ur vids!!!
you mean in msfs 2024? if they are from the marketplace many items are not available. I have some of my planes from the marketplace but most of them aren't there yet. maybe there was a problem with airports from 2020 in 2024 and they have disabled them temporarily.
Again, the NWS is utterly squirrelly and unrealistic. When will they realise that any aircraft with a mass of 500kg or over does not behave like this during ground manoeuvring? They need to dampen it right down and give the flight model some inertia, which Fenix have done brilliantly.
A lot of it seems to be caused by flight simmers doing unappropriate controls as well though. If you really rape the controls on a real airplane you will start seeing it do strange things as well. With proper control inputs you can already achieve a lot. That's of course not to say that there is no room for any improvement at all.
I don't mean to be rude, but I definitely took offense to your comment that the aircraft is dirty because it came from Africa. I have 16K hours been flying 27 years. Been to your hometown of Germany and had the aircraft wheels dirty many times. Check yourself.
I'm yet to see sandstorms blowing dirt all over the runways in Europe. That's something I typically only see in Africa, especially when combined with so little traffic that the dirt can actually accumulate until you eventually use the runway and get your airplane dirty.
Sim wants everything to encompass the cloud. Literally everything. Can't load textures of the runway on final. This sim is beyond embarrassing and had no business releasing at this time.

How do you install liveries on your A330?
Either the instructions are on the page were you download them or the zip file they come in, has a readme.
for the third time in a row, my a330 shuts the engines off whenever I am about to fly and enjoy, anyone else having the same problem?
where did you get the livery?

Release the safety guard (black switch roughly where the EFB would have been with the window closed) first, then you can close it.
