A blast from the past! One of my early collaborations with friend and colleague Mitch Jenkins. We shot several videos for Love and Rockets . This was performance footage shot by myself on a 16mm Bolex during a gig at the Dominion Theatre, London 1989. We also had a multi camera video crew there shooting for what should have been a live film of the concert, but the lighting was crap and Beggars felt the footage wasn't good enough to put out. Maybe we should revisit those tapes if they still exist
I just attended the Cruel World Festival in Pasadena last week (May 21,2023) and specifically flew in from Montreal for the festival because of Love and Rockets. It was their first gig together after 15 years and I swear when they started performing this song, I started to tear up. I was convinced that I would never hear these guys perform this song live again and …well, there you go, miracles do happen.
I met David J at a coffee shop a few years ago. Incredibly nice guy. No one paid him any attention at all. I walked up to him and asked him if he was David J. Yes. Fucking legend.

I love this song so much. When I went through a really shitty period that lasted about two years, I listened to this song constantly and it got me through it. So uplifting, and Haskins drums are primal and hypnotic.
forgot how much I love this song. Love and Rockets at the Pine Street Theater in Portland in the 80's on Earth Sun Moon tour was, and always has been the best show of my life.
Biggest musical influence in the group of musicians I co write with. Work in progress...someday hopefully next year will come to light. LOVE this band..from Canada!
