    One cool feature in the Treverb is the tap tempo on the tremolo side. I figured that out recently in a promotional video by Fender, just because you can´t find it on the owner´s manual. I have tested both side by side and reverb is better on the Flint, although I like plate reverb on the Treverb a lot and is the most used mode in my case.Tremolo is equally good. I don´t know if that justifies the price difference. Flint is a great option but it´s overpriced. Both are very well made and reliable, but Treverb needs 310mA and could be an issue if you don´t have a good power supply.

    I tried the Tre Verb for a weekend, and was unhappy with the reverb sound coloring the guitar tone too much. I returned it for the Flint (ordered it), and it was immediately what I was hoping for. Flint if you need rev/trem IMO. Thanks for a good demo!

    Nice job. I have been jonesing for a Tre-Verb. This isn't helping! Great job keeping it consistent with a loop, bypass, and such. I have to say - I get why the Strymon Flint is a go to in this area as well.

    Thanks for the great in depth comparison!
    I love the sounds of the Mr. Black and do consider the two switch version, bu i also like the options of the Tre-Verb.
    What do you think about the sounds of the Tre-Verb in RL?
    Does it hold up?

      I didn't think the Tre verb had authentic spring sounds, but aside from that sounds were good. The spring sounds sounded good, just not super realistic. I ended up getting rid of it because I didn't like the construction. The knobs seemed flimsy to me. It it were a little sturdier, I would have kept it around. If I were choosing between the two though, I'd take the Mr Black, even with less options because I like the sound of it that much. It's just got what I'm looking for in a trem sound. I have 2 of them for that reason.

      Pretty tough to say without playing through them but the FLINT sounds better then in this vid

      The Flint now has midi control so even a small midi switcher (midi baby 3) can offer easy changes and I like the sound… 😎

    Really between the keeley hydra, the true spring or a tc hof + pipeline, can you shine some light on the matter? Never played any of them and where I live it probably won't be possible

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  3 года назад +1

      I would recommend against the TC HOF + Pipeline. While I used to be a huge fan of the pipeline due to the editor, they changed the editor so all it does now pretty much is frustrate the hell out of me. HOF also sucks at spring verb, so if you care at all about that then that's a bad option. True spring has the best spring algo, but not much else reverb wise, in addition you'll want to be comfortable working with it hooked to a computer or smart phone to get the most out of it. On the TS you get slightly more trem options as you have optical as a mode, the Hydra has a vibrato mode instead. My choice, even though I don't think the Spring verb is as good as the true spring, would be Hydra for ease of use. The verb side is decent, the tremolo side is great for the options it does offer, and the combinations sound fantastic. But if it were me I'd focus on either TS or Hydra. As always though, I encourage everyone to listen to as many demos as possible and make a decision based on what sounds best to them.

    How would you personally rate these from best to worst?

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  2 года назад +9

      Tre Verb would be last, I've had 2 pedals from that line of pedals, and both had build quality issues. Others have reported issues with that line as well over time, so I wouldn't recommend picking that one up, or really anything in that line of pedals. I thought it sounded good, but I wouldn't trust picking one up again. Mr Black would be next, it sounds glorious, but it's only 1 type of verb and Trem. True Spring also a similar type of deal, except the spring algorithms are far more accurate than the Mr Black Spring algorithm, so it'd go above the Mr Black. The Verb-O-Trem is obsolete because the Hydra was released since the release of this video. I'd consider Hydra a better option for that because it doesn't require you to open up the pedal to switch reverb modes and it's stereo. Hydra I'd put above True Spring simply because it offers fairly different types of verb & trem all accessible with buttons, where as the TS you need an app to setup access to things you may not immediately have access to on the pedal. At the top I think Flint still takes it. I think all pedals sounded excellent, and sound wise, there are no slouchers in the bunch. Some are more accurate than others, and it really boils down to what reverb & trem you like and what you need your functionality to be.

    Kinda bummed. Every single review I find with the Tre Verb nobody pushes the rate/speed and the depth at the same time. No one. Every single video someone turns it the immediately goes back to about 2 o’clock and that’s the max they play it at. I’ve been looking for it’s range and no one does it. Every other pedal in this comparison was maxed, not the Tre Verb. It’s getting kinda annoying. For days, going on a week now I’m watching all these videos and nothing. Everyone covers the reverb side up and down but not the Trem. Lame.

    • @TriPedalReviews
      @TriPedalReviews  3 года назад +2

      14:34 shows both the fastest and slowest rate on the Tre-Verb. That's also with depth maxed. That'll give you an idea of how quick/slow it goes. But as far as maxing speed/depth on all 3 trem's, don't believe I did that. Speed range will be the same on all 3 modes.

    • @bciecko1
      @bciecko1 3 года назад +1

      @@TriPedalReviews @14:34 you turn it up and at @14:36 it’s already back to about 2 o’clock. One second. For one second of an over 15 minute video was the range fully explored. Sorry man. Don’t worry, your in good company, nobody really explorers it. At all. I ended up getting a different pedal. I still wish there was adequate trem-side coverage like there was verb-side coverage.
