Like a fine wine, Tony gets better with age. This song in particular is nothing new, but it's very "Tony" and something that fans will be familiar with. I found it interesting that Tony says that he hasn't "matured" and upon a second glance, I don't think he has matured either. More specifically, I think Tony hasn't changed at all and that's great. The timbre and instruments may change, but it still sounds like Tony. This unique, moody sound paired with charming, dreamy organs and simple, effective percussion with drums and tambourine, is Tony's classic sound IMO. I honestly think Tony may have fallen into "Weezer syndrome" by having his first major release and publicity with Dissed and Dismissed. D&D was heavy with distortion and melody, and his two follow-up releases Confront The Truth and Kill The Lights were so far from the distorted, chugging eccentricity that the calmer sound may have turned off a lot of listeners. It's a shame, because his quieter stuff is honestly some of his best work in my personal opinion.
Tony is older. We're all older now. But music never ages. Music captures the essence of life in that moment. Tony's music to me, perfectly represents the feeling of time passing by and growing old. His music makes me feel like a kid, watching cars on the street pass by. I would sit and wonder where they would go. Some cars were slower and relaxed, while some sped by in a hurry. Everyone in those cars was going somewhere. Everyone in those cars had to be somewhere else.

The original record label for Triple LP closed awhile ago (tUMULt) when Aquarius records closed and while I exactly have no idea how any of this works I’m assuming their time ran through on the platform from a vacant label and it got pulled off Spotify after a couple years but the record labels may or may not be back now but I have no idea if Ovens (or Tony) will even bother try to get it back there unfortunately.
