Summer Shade Label was founded in Los Angeles and Boston in the year 2020 as a new bi-coastal, boutique label with an emphasis on riffs and hits. The new presence is a part of Run For Cover’s growing family and will allow established acts a new home while pushing young undiscovered artists to a wider audience, fueled by a for-artists by-artists ethos with all songwriters owning their own music. New music is the core of Summer Shade, with a curated flow of new music coming to you through various forms of streaming and visual media.

Tony Molina es un músico californiano, un pequeño genio, de la nueva cantera del power pop que edita un disco sorprendente, el cuarto de su carrera, "In the fade", donde las canciones apenas duran minuto y medio y la gracia es que en esa escasa duración condensa el fulgor de unas píldoras que son melodías certeras. Bajo la base creativa de menos es más impacta con estas pequeñas piezas convirtiendo el álbum en todo un ejercicio de estilo, por el que desfilan J. Mascis, Lennon, The Byrds, Weezer o Brian Wilson. Un trabajo de orfebrería que solo dura dieciocho minutos y que sorprende por todo lo que llega a decir en tan poco tiempo, con toda esa distorsión eléctrica. Música independiente novedades.
