Another stunning video, thank you! Yes the Akua is a capricious and moody friend, especially the black often gives me effects I didn’t expect, but in my case that’s what I love about it. Sometimes effects that I try to reproduce, for a video or so, and then I can’t! Looking forward to Part 2… 🙋🏻♀🙏🏽
Indeed the black is very stiff at the level of the ink, You can soften the ink with cooked linseed oil. Excuse me I went too fast you are with a base water! The problem of hardness is identical you can correct with glycerin. The purple is very deep it is beautiful. You can also use an alum mordant by soaking the paper before. Merci à toi
This is so interesting and your video is wonderful. Thank you! Could you please tell me why you used the aluminum tape along the edges? I’m sorry but it wasn’t clear to me.
Thank you, really glad you enjoyed it. I used the tape to secure the edges and to create a border in the print. Sometimes with fabric you can end up with jagged edges. But it’s not necessary, if you are mounting the print and covering up the edges anyway, it won’t matter. Hope this helps
This is really interesting. I watched twice. Looking forward to the next part.
Thank you Carole, Part 2 is up on the channel and I am filming part 3. Enjoy 🤗
Such interesting shading and depth. Looking forward to part 2.

@@CollagraphPrinting a very very belated thank you!!!
Maybe it's the ink... I have worked with AKUA inks and I really do not like them at all. Nice work, great demo. Thank you!
Thank you Barbara, oh what a shame! I normally like them but that black just wasn’t behaving 😢
