Sally is the best teacher ever! Her instructions are always clear. The examples develop a wide sense of persona creativity! It is impossible for a student not to go away without learning so much.!! this fast talking Sally is so amusing.
I wish my own process were so quickly developed!!!!

Thanks this is really useful. I am plodding through part 3 of the collography course now (colours!) and am still really enjoying it. There is masses of information on the course and lots and lots of exercises. It has kept me busy for several months. Sally is a great teacher - and, if you are inpatient like me, the videos still work at x 1.5/x 2 speed (even if they make my husband laugh)... if I ever meet her, she will need to talk very fast for me to recognise her...

Nothing personal... I do it to everyone, unless they speak really quickly to start with!@@sallyhirstartisttutor6324

Wow, I wish I had found you 3 years ago. But I'm glad for your info and expertise now! Thank you for this video😃

I have learned so much from your videos. Thank you. I’d been messing about with collographs and etched foil on gel plate, with limited success. The big shot plus is within budget for more experimentation, thank you for that too (one of your other videos), and the bed and blanket advice.
    You’ve made my day.

This is SO helpful! Question: how do you clean the plates after you’ve printed them? Would a baby wipe work?

Thank you for sharing this info you just answered 80% of my questions on printmaking with acrylics, and saved me many dollars. I am wondering still if the acrylics and mag mix would work for dry point ( plastic) etchings?

Yes it works for any intaglio process. 😃

Another question @@sallyhirstartisttutor6324 have you used the powdered magnesium carbonate as the stiffener rather than the Akua mag mix? I ask because the Akua mag mix actually has soy base according to one of their videos which makes me wonder if the Akua mag mix additive might be contributing to such a good print outcome here in your demo. Would love to see a demo of the powdered magnesium carbonate and the Golden open to see if there is a difference.

Yes I've used it too.. the Mag mix provides a better consistency but it's not much different.

Wonderful advice as usual, Sally. Thank you. I'll be doing your CCC this year, after the landscape abstract one (forgotten its name).
