My aunt used to be a hairstylist and she taught people how to do hair she says heat protectant isn't really necesary if ur not gonna use heat on your hair everyday! She says if you are gonna be using heat like a curling iron etc, that you need to use heat protectant! Hope that helps! ☺️
i use heat after every wash (i wash like 2 times a week)
"Only run the straightener one time"
*straightens section*
*does it again*
Didn't she say to NOT flat iron in large sections?
No offence but the end result for her hair looks like how my hair looks after i dont wash it in a week... Usually when I straighten my hair, its really soft and smooth but it seems that she uses a really high heat so the hair sticks together, I keep mine at a low heat.
My grandma gave my mom and i a GHD flat iron it has worked wonders!! :)
Thanks for sharing! There are so many do's & don'ts for flat ironing
She clearly doesn’t have frizzy/curly hair bc if I brush mine after straightening it it goes back to being bushy
Another thing is DONT flat iron damp hair... Like Holy Sh** her hair is damp the whole time and you can see it. That fries your hair and causes breakage, best to wash hair and braid it or put into a pony tail low on the head and add elastic bands along the length, and flat iron the following day /morning.. If possible
She said not to have it damp because it fries it.
Her hair is just very dark, it’s shiny, so it seems damp. Couldn’t you have given her the benefit of the doubt before assuming she’s dim-witted?
I appreciate the effort to do this but she doesn't have curly hair so wtf how is this relatable to every hair type
It helps people like me..I have straight hair but mine is a little on the fluffy side, frizzy ect...it just isnt that soft so to see how it works on different hair textures helps...her hair does look different after she uses that iron..it does look straighter and softer as if it changed the hair strands/texture
Lol what.
I flat iron my hair at 350, and I do it with two passes, I have very very thick hair, it usually takes me 35 minutes just to get it done, blow drying is so much longer
Don't tip: Don't weigh your hair down like she just did. 😂😂
For thin, Caucasian hair use the lightest amout. Or just deep condition before so you won't have to use heat protectant at all.
Linna XO what about thick Caucasian hair? It's my first time using this thing and I have 4 inch thick hair. Lol
this was a year ago but anyway, for thick Caucasian hair you can deep condition your hair before straightening it, and then after you can add oil to it. It's what my Brazilian friends do
I always get lazy straightening my hair and I do to big of sections to straighten at a time
Heat protectant sprays burn of right when heard added
i realized i do almost all of the donts. woops
Don’t go too slow or you can burn your hair and it’s okay to go over it more than once
my aunt got mad at me and she poured her madness in my hair and after the ironing my hair got super damaged but i grew it back but the damage is still in half of my hair like its in the middle section :'/
Sry you went thru that trying to grow my hair out too and it's depressing waiting😢
I would say spray your hair with water and run the water through your veins to get it soaked(a little) around your hair.
What flat iron is she using?
What is the beeping?
You remind me of Vicky from vampire diaries
what kind of hair straightner are you using? i bought 2 straightners and they always seem to stop working after 1 year. They just don't straighten fast enough. I used the Jose Eber and the other one i cant remember i just threw it away.
Edith Macias Nume is the best and all the youtubers have a discount code! I use to have the same issue but Nume is really the best!
Edith Macias my mom had her chi for around 4 years and we both have 3-4 inch thick hair. 😁
Bruuuuu I be struggling, the back of my head still has some weird bumps lol
I have my straightener on 1 and it is still so hot so I mean I’m doing it the best I can
How does one deal with the hairs that stand up on top of your head when you’re done flat ironing your hair?
Karimee Tello I usually just pin them down or use a tiny bit of water. Hopefully that helps! 😁
Ik this is old but some people use toothbrushes and a little bit of fixing spray to pull it down
using dental floss works really well for me
Hair follicles are in the root! You can`t change their direction by combing your oily hair!!!
is her hair dirty??
Mishkaah Julius If you consider oily as dirty. Then yes...
But my heat protectant is wet?
Girls some advise, don’t go as slow as u can she said to but don’t u will burn and have dead hair u should go slower but not that slow
I don't understand why she's straightening her hair when her hair is already straight lol
Your pretty
Is it just me or hair protectors don’t do much. Regardless of the brand. It’s just wetting your hair.
That moment when she looks like the young version of the manager that got fired at the place I work at lmao
Is it OK to flat iron when your hair is wet?
NOOO!! Please don't flat iron wet/damp hair unless you want to.cook it... Flat Iron dry hair please
Ha! Got it, thx!
Sara Allen NO NO NO NO!!!
