I love the "kids these days don't know how to count change" shit. I have two elementary school children who have literally no problem with it. They teach it in public schools. It usually happens the most when the total is like 15.35 and they give the cashier like a 20 and 35 cents which is EXTREMELY rare, even back when I was a cashier in the early 2000s it would happen maybe like once a month tops. I can't imagine it happens more than like once a year at this point since debit cards are so much more prevalent. I don't think its weird to be surprised by something like that. If anything its an indictment of them, because I have to imagine the cashier is surprised the boomer/gen x person still has enough faculties to count the change themselves lol
I have a minor learning disability with numbers where I know HOW to count change, but if you throw too many digits in front of my face I kind of blank out. It doesn't help that most registers nowadays tell you the change on the screen, so i get confused by the numbers I'm looking at. Its very cool how people assume I'm "stupid" because I have problems reading numbers and get easily stressed out by being stared at :)

I will say that if you want something temporary but does last longer, that henna is a nice choice whether for on your face or not. You can find good henna for hair dye too.
