    Hildegard's cover of Jolene always makes me feel like I'm in the world of the Witcher.

    The 'buzz" is coming from the hurdy gurdy. There are three sets of strings. The chanters in the middle, the drones on the bottom, and the buzz is the trumpet strings on the top. The trumpet strings have a floating dog, so if you accelerate the rotation they sound intermittently.

      So, they actually DO use medieval instruments for these songs?

    • @nathandc
      @nathandc Год назад

      @@sadlobster1 It depends on the individual artist, some are playing real instruments, some are using keyboards with different voices.

    A bit late but honestly my favourite bardcore covers are by the_miracle_aligner who goes one step further by doing the covers in old english, classical latin etc.

    I'm surprised no one has commented yet, but the lead instrument on the Blinding Lights cover sounds to be some kind of hammered dulcimer!

    Lol I could barely hear the music and then you plugged your speaker in and I could hear one tick of one hundred up in volume. It’s fun to see different music on this channel.

    You need to listen to Patty's cover of Ed Sheeran's "Bad Habits" on a hurdy-gurdy and an octaveharpa.
