  • We must practice self preservation anywhere on the planet and at all times and the Philippines is no exception. We are the MVP, the Most Valuable Priority. Placing the needs of others before our own is a crucial mistake. Make sure we are in a position of strength and that we keep our options open at all times. Thanks for watching.

I'm going to always follow your playbook. I'm going to rent a house or apartment, at least the first 2year. I'm the head of my household. I going to set a budget. I learned my lesson from the women I dealt with here in the USA 🇺🇸. Now, if I turn into Iceberg Slim, Game Over for her and her family. I have no problem throwing her ass back into the pool. I can do my own cooking, cleaning, shopping and paying bills. I will hire others to help me. But nobody pimping me.

That is some excellent advice Calvin, I have watched several Filipina vloggers here they always imply the female is the prize and the guy secondary, yet of course he is the one providing all the money. It is more apparent that there is a growing class of Filipina companion that is there purely for support and has zero concern for the guy. My mates so called 'girlfriend had to get some heart tablets for him, she was so concerned she spend the whole day in Clark SM, came back and had forgotten the tablets!

Or if you like I’m the air conditioned Suburban the entire family is riding in while crossing the desert. Allow me to run out of fuel, skip an oil change, ignore the tires and routine preventative maintenance at your peril. You could end up stuck in the desert roasting in a metal box or on foot trying to cross the desert. Take your pick, because either way they are screwed without you.

Hi Sunshine. Your video is not wrong generally, but it's not totally right either. As you say, there are options, and this is especially true because situations vary. Thus, when the situation differs from what you describe, options kick in to move beyond your "me first" approach. I know because I am married to a beauitiful older filipina who is totally loyal, caring, loving, and considerate to me first Soon we will be celebrating our second anniversary, and I have never had an issue about her handling all the money. She listens to my priorites for us and gives me an accounting for every peso spent. As an American expat, I consider myself the luckiest guy in the Philippines. Trust is the key, trusting and being trustworthy.

Guys need to informed so they don't make a self induced fatal commitment. Living with a GF is one thing, being married is totally different, no matter the country. We also need to understand the Philippine laws on cohabitation.

And he had another option. While the property has to be in a Pinoy’s name, he could have signed a 25 year lease. While contracts between married couples in the Philippines are not valid, anyone else is okay. And if he had a lease, he could move the girl friend out or move and rent the house out. The added benefit is that it keeps the woman honest knowing she lives there by his grace/lease agreement.
But of course the smart move is to never spend on any land in the Philippines for it’s a suckers bet as a foreigner.

My wife is Filipina . We’ve been married 12 years currently residing in Southern California . My wife visits her family about every 2 years at Nueva Acura , panganisan. At age 50 , I looked like the picture of health . Im now 63 years of age . In 2018 I had a cancer diagnosis which changed my life forever. I had my surgery at a VA facility and I’m doing ok , cancer has not returned . My wife and I have a good marriage , bought a house together here in Ca. She works as a caregiver in Hunnington Beach . Thankfully with my financial mindset , we’re doing well. On a final thought , just curious ?. How secure are you with the medical there in the Philippines ?. At 63 years old I would visit Philippines , but never live there long term . If your health was to take a turn for the worst , would you trust the medical establishment there ?. I heard Tialand has excellent medical. I here many expats say they feel safe there . Myself , I have different views , however I do enjoy listening to content from different expats in you tube . Take care

Calvin, this may sound like a crazy question, but I am going to ask you anyway. I lost my beautiful and loving traditional wife 6 years ago to a brain tumor. I am planning to travel to the Philippines for vacation and to possibly move there permanently. I am retired, in my 60s, in very good physical condition with no medical issues. My question is, is it possible to live there with just having friendships without a romantic connection? I have become accustomed to living alone and I enjoy the freedom of traveling when and where I want without approval or drama. I just want to live there, make friends and travel the country without emotional attachments or live in arrangements. Thank you for your very informative videos. All the best to you and your family.

I also don’t know whether the 12,000,000 peso guy has Social Security to fall back on when his girlfriend throws him out and the Philippine Fantasy turns in Philippine reality. I would advise the following though: if a brother Ex-Pat is in a 3 point stance to buy real estate to improve their Filipina’s life and enjoy their own, make it a condo. I know, over priced for what you get and a house maybe be a much better deal but… you can’t get kicked to the curb when fantasy flames out into reality. “Captain Save a Ho”. Dude you are priceless.

Passport Bros are from all races & cultures. I am 61 and found a beautiful, widowed Filipina aged 53. Just one site has tens of thousands of Filipina women of all ages looking to marry a foreign man. Many have degrees and are well educated. My lady has 2 degrees & now lives with me in Australia. She has 2 adult children and weighs 59kg (130 pounds). We belong to a Filipina church in our local area. All the adult women are Filipina who are married to Australian men. All of the Australian men in the church are divorced from Australian women. All of these men have lost their wealth and their children through the family court system. These Filipina women have given these Australian men a second chance at life, and in some cases given these men children who are raised to respect their father. The contrast is unbelievable.
Another funny story. Early in our relationship I asked her what she understood about feminism. She said that she had heard the word but did not know what it meant. When I explained the effects of feminism in the West, her first response was that she now understood why there were so many foreign men in her country looking for a wife.

So basically in my opinion you say it's not worth it going there. I mean you can't own the land but you own the structure. And if she evicted you then there's nothing you can do about it. The only option I heard is a condo and even that's sketchy with the fees on it going up. I respect your opinion brother but I'm good cause all this sounds like a red flag waving.
