Wow! The fact that those kid’s English is that good without their parents speaking it, and without living in a English speaking country is absolutely amazing.
I grew up in a similar environment but I may not be as good as these two kids since I bought a computer and got access to the internet in middle school. My parents don't speak any English at all though my mom can understand English. So I started watching videos of English youtubers and listening to English music pretty late as compared to these guys. Also in order to improve I used to talk to myself in English all the time. That also helped somewhat.
I wonder if most of the audience watching this understands how cool and impressive those two kids were. I’ve been teaching English in Elementary schools and junior high schools in Japan for over 20 years and I haven’t had any students who can speak like that- except for a FEW cases with kids who’ve come back from living abroad with their families. So… it was a cool interview, but maybe not for the reasons that most people are thinking. (Don’t assume these kids are representative of ‘typical’ Japanese kids!) That said, their parents are awesome and I want more Japanese parents and teachers to see this video to understand how language learning really works!

This video was so unexpected and so cute! One take from the kids that I can really relate with about learning English, 'It's not like learning, it's more like playing'. They are INTERESTED in English, that's not teachable (hence why other kids find it difficult to master English). I'm not amazing in English but compared to my peers, they consider me above average. You won't be good at something if you don't have the motivation to do it.
Their accent is too good to be self-taught… I’m so impressed.. i mean im French so I learnt English mostly at school but my own interest really made me speak it per se. However I wasn’t near as comfortable at speaking it as them lol. Same with my Japanese.. I have a master degree in Japanese language and sociology and still if I didn’t learn it by myself beside taking classes, I wouldn’t be comfortable at all. Studying one year in a Japanese university really was what set it off 😬
They look responsible and speak calmly as if they are adults, I imagined myself at that age it's really impossible for me to give an interview like this
my son went to japanese school in the UK on a saturday morning, he and his whole class passed japanese GCSE a year early, the japanese really know how to teach, and there should be more crossover between UK schools (my son had a scholarship to a private school - whitgift foundation). what i find amusing is that my son's written english, his handwriting is spidery and frankly weird, but his written japanese always looks like it could have been printed, it's perfect.
Amazing video! The kids did such a good job!! But I also want to point out how nice it was to give us viewers some pictures when they referred to the kanji learning. That really helped understanding their way of thoughts! Much love and give the little guys many probs from a future teacher :D They rocked their part

These two english ability is phenomenal. Here's my view/preconceptions from beginning to end on their english level: Beginning: These two have got to be Japanese-Americans or studied in an eng speaking country when they were little and then their parents moved back to Japan Middle: Wait, maybe they go to an intl school where language is prominent End: They also have a youtube channel and learned english just by playing and having fun?! Internet in gerneral gets a lot of hate, but honestly, this video is a huge positive for it. We're all so united now that even children who live in totally different countries that speak completely different languages are able to communicate because they grew up in an age where lack of knowledge is simply due to a lack of just existing. My 12 year old nephew has a best friend in Sweden that he only talks to on Playstation... We live in Arizona.

But these kids are amazing! Mostly, it’s the parents choice of enrolling them to English conversation schools. Some students don’t enjoy it but I’m glad to see that these boys love learning English. Also, their parents are probably well-traveled and exposed to different culture that’s why they also wanted their children to be the same.
OMG, Takashii-san!! This video is great. So interesting to learn about this aspect of Japanese life. I love hearing how they help out at school. These two are so cute, sweet and smart! 😍 Their English is amazing and gives me hope as I learn Japanese. I think I need to chill and just have fun with it. I also think I need to put down my Kanji flashcards, pick up a pen and start writing and writing and writing. I wish I had a teacher who would draw Charlie Brown on my paper when I do well. 😊
Wow! Very impressed by these two. Their accent, sentences, flow of speech etc was on point. Especially when they’re not attending an international school, or being taught at home by their parents. It’s very impressive!! Will be subscribing to their channel, thank you Takashii 👏
This was awesome! Their English level is unbelievably good for kids who have never lived abroad! I hope my Japanese improves to the same point at some time in my life 😊
They also broke the stereotype that Japanese are not good at English. Quite an interesting video Takashii-san 👏🙌
Those kids are great. Very comfortable on camera, spoke extremely fluent English. I wouldn't have guessed that they don't have a foreign parent. All the best to them in their future.
It is evident that these two kids are gifted! Such astounding English speaking skills!
This is definitely my favorite interview you’ve done so far. The two kids were super natural interviewees and after watching your other videos I was blown away by their English. I wonder if other kids around their age are just as good or if they are an anomaly. Keep up the good work Takashi!
wow, these two kids were amazing! they are very literate and knowledge about what they are saying
It's really amazing how they made it super easy to learn another language, I think we all should think about it in that way too .
BTW you guys reminded me of my childhood atmosphere and this was very comfortable and relaxing 💚
This is incredible to watch. They are both so smart and eloquent. Great interview.
This video was so unexpected and so cute!
It's funny that it seems that the United States is still a trend among the japanese.. at least in the videos I watch on youtube, it seems that the japanese people still have the idea that the USA is an "amazing and perfect" country 🤔
As a Brazilian speaking, many of us don't have this idea anymore.
Great video Takashii!
yeah, in europe USA dont have good reputation either
It’s due to the media. American movies, TV shows and even magazines are prevalent in Japan.
I'm Brazilian too! after these years i really lost interest in the USA, but i know there are very beautiful places there, one day i have to see with my eyes how the place really is without any kind of media influence.
@@nemuritori I'd ignore the media, every country has its ups and downs, many countries get portrayed as worse. As a native from the USA, I can tell you I have gone 21+ years without experiencing one violent thing, and I've lived in the 3 most dangerous cities in America, never even seen a gun pulled on anyone. It's very safe here, as long as you make "smart" decisions just like you would be anywhere, you'll be fine.
@@resir_rblx Yo this is so good to read! thanks for giving me a little more hope in the USA, I really think it's a very beautiful place, and that I've dreamed of for years. I definitely have to go one day!
素直にかっこいいなって思った
One take from the kids that I can really relate with about learning English, 'It's not like learning, it's more like playing'. They are INTERESTED in English, that's not teachable (hence why other kids find it difficult to master English). I'm not amazing in English but compared to my peers, they consider me above average. You won't be good at something if you don't have the motivation to do it.
These kids have serious talent in language
Wow 6:07 of all countries he picked egypt thats actually awesome lol. Didn't know japan even knew of our existence
Ancient Egypt is a pretty standard thing to learn about in schools worldwide. I’d be surprised if they DIDN’T know about Egypt.
I'm from Bangladesh and one of my students(9 y/o) also said that she wants to visit Egypt.I think kids love Egypt because of all the stories of it.
man im like the opposite of him xd i soooo want to go japan. never been abroad before so i hope to travel to japan as my first country :)
It's so famous!!
Egypian, Greek and Roman history is pretty standard to learn in school.
This introduction just deserved my like and replay
This level of fluency at elementary school?🤯Can't even imagine how native they would sound like by the time they become highschoolers in future👏🏻👏🏻
Super cute kids. The kanji part was super interesting as I'm about to start learning it next week. I love this kind of videos.
this further shows how much immersion teaches you a foreign language
wow. i’m doing the same trying to learn japanese
those kids are amazing
Oh my! They have a very good grasp of English! great job guys!
Studying one year in a Japanese university really was what set it off 😬
I'm sorry, to say this, but perse is a finnish word too. 🤣
And is very opposite what you meant in the comment. So i found it funny.
This is crazy their english level is off the charts!
They look responsible and speak calmly as if they are adults, I imagined myself at that age it's really impossible for me to give an interview like this
どちらもとても賢い
Dochira mo totemo kashikoi
my son went to japanese school in the UK on a saturday morning, he and his whole class passed japanese GCSE a year early, the japanese really know how to teach, and there should be more crossover between UK schools (my son had a scholarship to a private school - whitgift foundation). what i find amusing is that my son's written english, his handwriting is spidery and frankly weird, but his written japanese always looks like it could have been printed, it's perfect.
This is literally the best channel to watch in order to know about japan or before moving to japan 🙇❤️
Amazing video! The kids did such a good job!! But I also want to point out how nice it was to give us viewers some pictures when they referred to the kanji learning. That really helped understanding their way of thoughts! Much love and give the little guys many probs from a future teacher :D They rocked their part
These are without a doubt the coolest kids I have ever seen in my life
From Philippines (me) is amaze(d) to see these kids who can express(ed) themselves in english despite having no foreign national parents (non-Japanese parents). You are gifted and awesome. A big hand for such an amazing talents. Bravo!!!!!
I am BLOWN away!!! These boys are going places. When he said "we didn't think we were learning" it reminded me of my days learning Japanese from anime in middle school 🥺💗 it's always best when it's a hobby! That way it never feels like a chore 🥰
These two english ability is phenomenal. Here's my view/preconceptions from beginning to end on their english level:
Beginning:
These two have got to be Japanese-Americans or studied in an eng speaking country when they were little and then their parents moved back to Japan
Middle:
Wait, maybe they go to an intl school where language is prominent
End:
They also have a youtube channel and learned english just by playing and having fun?! I am so subscribing!
The thumbnail... it looks like a Pokemon evolutionary chain xD
This is exactly like me, but now it is getting easier to study languages because of the internet.
Keep up the good work bro, love ur works!! 😄
THESE KIDS ARE BRILLIANT OMG!! their way of speaking and their maturity really did impress me, this video is great and these two amazing kids are just WOW!
Wow these kids can speak English so well >w< even better than me lmao
Those kids are amazing!
I’m so impressed by their English so much!! They sound so natural like they were born in America! And also they seem real mannered and polite which is also impressive! This is a good interview and I will definitely subscribe to their channel!!
This was such a cool video! Kudos to these very wonderful polite ylung men for sharing their culture eith us as well as wantjng to know other cultures and being open minded. Their parents did wonderfully teaching that to them. Theyre also lycky to have each other to practice with.
This was such a delightful surprise! Theyre so cute and intelligent. Im glad you value the opinions and experiences of children. Im a huge advocate for uplifting children & to not look down upon their intelligence, so this interview made my day tbh
Really bright boys from Japan. I am surprised to know that they learnt English by just watching English videos, listening to music, etc. Awesome! Their English is not only flawless but their usage of vocabulary was really incredible, almost like a native American speaker. Lots of love from India.
These kids are good at English!
These boys are just amazing! Their English is perfect! So respectful, and savvy too!
HAHAHAHAHA! Wonderful interview as always Takashii. The Boys speak great english. It just goes to show how smart the new generation is . I also just watched their interview with you on their channel. HAHAHAHA! You look like you had a fun time. Keep up the wonderful work.
Yeah I feel like kids are setting smarter. These days 4,5 year olds use smartphone and internet like they were born with it .
Those kids english is so good, better than most adults
I was a language major in college. I can't believe how well these kids spoke English! Especially considering they don't speak it at home. Really, this was beyond amazing. And it will have a huge positive impact on their lives.
Woooow I am soooo amazed at their speaking skills in both language!
This is a very entertaining series with different groups of people.
I look forward to seeing you interview people with psychological and mental disabilities.
I'm interested in how they experience living in Japan.
These two kids were frickin' amazing. That command of accentless and fluid english, without time spent in an english speaking country just blow my mind.
生まれが外国なのかと思ったら、日本生まれ、日本育ちかよ。。。凄すぎるな。小さいころから英語に慣れさせるだけでこんなに違うのか。。。
Their English is so natural. It feels good to listen to kids also interested in other cultures than their own. Congrats from France guys
Where did you even find these kids, the English proficiency alone is incredible but they're so articulate and build on their answers, no pressure kids but our future is on you
Their english is so great!
10歳は愛らしいです
As an American from Chicago Illinois, I must say I'm BLOWN AWAY! I seriously thought they were raised in America by the way these young men spoke! AWESOME!!
I’m gonna be entirely honest.. I genuinely thought these 2 boys had previously lived in America due to their English. Being able to get that fluent without being in an a whole English speaking country is crazy.. and the thick American-like accent is so cute, lol.
Wow! Those two little boys are so awesome! Thank you I enjoyed this.
I have a feeling that these children are not the average Japanese elementary school students. from japan
OMG I could understand some of the words there! My Duolingo 120+ day streak is cool, but I couldn't understand 90% of what you said... I need to learn more 💪
WTFFFF RHEIR ENGLISH JS SO GOOD
Same as me lol. I've been watching RUclips and stuff since I was a baby and learned English that way.
まって英語うますぎwwwwそこら辺の大人より全然できるやんw
they are very mature and have a broad mindset. His parents must be proud because they managed to educate him properly.
