I, personally, think Serge was being very kind telling you not to shuffle too much.
on the one hand, I totally get what Serge was going for with the "don't shuffle too much" line,,, on the other hand, it's Incredibly Funny as accidental BM lmao
I feel like that's often what happens with Serge, his kindness ends up looking like accidental BM lol.
I do the same thing as Serge in Canlander all the time, shuffling twice is more annoying than shuffling once to me.
i appreciate the dynamic ben on tech gets in this series, its uniquely different than the table friend and he also gets to pop up achivements

Can we get a multi-angle close up of Wheeler shuffling? That post-mash flutter is so satisfying and I want to master it to intimidate my opponents. Because I'm bad at magic.
when Wheeler said at 34:53 "kari zev is dead, the monkey will not show up", i was PRAYING for serge to rip ragavan off the top
Reminds me of a prerelease i did of ONE where we got Kari Zev and baral and had to use a real ragavan as the token

I am once again asking for a Wheeler tutorial on shuffling 100 card double sleeved decks. he looks so snazzy while doing it
So what you're telling me is that Canadian Highlander deck archetype names are like LaCroix names, where it SAYS 'Raspberry' but it's really 'A single raspberry was in the next room over when this was canned'.
I love this, at 26:00 serge could have pump esper sentinel in response to dark ritual to draw a card. Esper sentinel check for the X cost to pay at resolution.

51:19 i think serge missed 2 damage here which was ironic considering the following turns. Bolting on declared blockers before damage allows the creature to trample 2 over on that first strike damage as well.
Not that it matters a huge deal but just found it interesting

The 55:41 was a snow-covered swamp and 56:33 was a swamp, so tainted pact was resolved properly
I didn't catch it was snow-covered, that makes sense. I was wondering why he put 2 of the same basic with tainted pact in.
I wonder in that first game if Ben should've reanimated on Serge's turn. A surprise grizzy blocker would've still gained him 7 more life and he could've blocked face-breaker to stay alive and draw the cards so long as Serge didn't make a karn-struct on Ben's end step for safety. It would've meant not having jace to activate a loyalty ability on but I think that would've been ultimately the safer line.

I'm surprised that in game 1 Ben didn't reanimate Griselbrand as a surprise blocker. He would have survived and killed Kemba or a karnstruct that way.
