How is it possible that you can produce a preview video that so accurately predicts the danger men and the areas of the pitch which we must defend and yet our huge club resources in analytics and preparation fail so miserably??? Perhaps you could pick your own team from our current squad and discuss why you think it would be better? That would make an interesting video.
Hi CJ. I'm a Falkirk supporter myself but I watch all your videos as my family are mostly Rangers supporters. What just seems absolutely mad to me is the fact that 3 gaffers, arguably 4 if you include Gerrard, have made all the same mistakes. My family members all say the exact same things as you, and yet yous have had multiple gaffers who seem completely incapable of seeing it themselves. It's bizarre especially when you consider that Clement and Tavernier were strangers just over a year ago. Why does he have such unwavering loyalty to the guy? It's going to end up costing him his job.
For the love of God get Taverneir out of the team. Is the manager blind. Everything came down his side and he was posted missing in action in all but the Barron mistake goal.
Watch the highlights back on that one. He was slow to get back & support & anyone with any pace could have cut across & picked up Lacazette who scored from the Barron mistake. Couldn't defend previously and clearly now he no longer has a tank to get back & at least press or assist his defence!
Cerny has changed his approach, likely on Clements instruction to accommodate Tav. He looks frustrated and lacking in confidence. Clement is crap.

How many times are we gonna hear Tav beaten at the back post this season.. he’s finished, cooked, past it… we put up with Tav’s defensive limitations because of his incredible attacking abilities but he’s not able to do that now.. he has to be dropped and Butland given the captains armband

You called it CJ in your pre view yesterday. Named the big dangers , so why doesn't the manager see it. The ball control and one touch football of that team was awesome . Ripped us to bits. This match showed the gulf ,the composure for their goal compared to the Cernys chance showed this. Just have to admit we are kidding ourselves that we are better than we are.
Tav has held that position un challenged for 4 managers now. Also Cerney has to slow down to let Tav catch up. The captain is done. Time to let him be the sub when needed.

Hopefully we witnessed the manager realising Tav is costing us big time, he's probably 4th choice at RB at this point. Totally agree bajrami stands out and that's out of position hopefully even better in the 10 role

Everything we do is slow, lazy, lethargic and we used to be a team that was the exact opposite. Its simple things like, when do we ever take a quick throw, corner, pass or free kick. Everything is done at a snail's pace.

I think that games really highlights our current issues. I have no idea what our tactical style is. It's also made very difficult to win against top teams when our right wing is redundant.

Great review as always C.J., It's no disgrace being beaten by a team like Lyon, but, there's being beaten and not learning anything from it, Clement is watching the same underachieving empty jerseys practically every game and still doesn't do anything about it, I was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt and time but we're going back the way under his management. Looking at the game, Bajrami is the only player we have good enough to be on the same pitch as the French team, and we've still to see him in his preferred position (hopefully before Clement ruins him too). IT'S NOT LOOKING GOOD.

Another thing - I think it was Diamonde whos momentum took him out past the goal with the ball, could he not have used his left leg to send the ball back to his teammate waiting behind him. This is the thing, none of them do any wee tricks with the ball. They need to integrate watching Laudrup and Gazza videos. Its like they are reading the how to play football for dummies book, instead of taking tips from the likes of Laudrup and Gazza and going out to enjoy themselves. Clement needs to loosen up on his procedural play

That's us been honking against every half decent team we've played so far this season, this is gonna be a painful process CJ
Tav had a golden season in Europe with the rest of that team on the run to Seville, we got rid of a lot of players after that run and the ones that stayed simply weren't good enough. It was clearly the end of the cycle with them and the likes of Arfield, Kamara, Aribo, Bassey all left with their heads held high and with great memories but think of those who stayed; Lundstram, Goldson, Barasic, Kent, Scott Wright, Tav. It is complete madness we start Tav every single game and every single game no matter the level of opposition they target him what does that tell you?? I don't understand why Clement doesn't just give him a rest like he said he would at the start of the season.
The Tav situation has snowballed when he didn't move on in the summer PC and the club havent had the minerals to strip him and bench him ! Since then anyone who has watched us this season knows where to attack ! Tavs never been good going back and now he is struggling to go forward its curtains!
I can only hope that Tav sub was the sign that his time in the first team is over for the foreseeable. It has to be! Clement is digging his own grave with persisting with the same players making the same mistakes.
Cerny as well needs a spell on the sidelines. Is McCausland the answer? Maybe not but he is all we have because of a lack of recruitment. But Cerny offers nothing.
Then there is Dowell. Like what does he bring to the team? How can we not move Berjami to his 10 slot when Lawrence went off and bring McCausland on the left? It’s baffling.
Overall the quality is not there and this is gonna be a long season. But the manager is really starting to lose the support rapidly with mindless and stupid decisions.
Time to start being ruthless and put the team first!

No denying that Tav has given his all for the club through the good and bad times but every single week teams target him as they know he's like a deer in headlamps now. None of the team were on any kind of form this morning. (Live in Aus and watched the game at 3am). With years still left on his contract how long can we keep doing this? No player is bigger than the club but nowadays it seem they are the ones pulling the strings.

Tav knows he doesn’t have the legs to get back but the reason he still stays forward and attacks every opportunity, whether the team need him to or not, is because he’s all about his personal number. Goals and assists. That’s his biggest concern. It’s also the reason he takes every set piece and steals penalties from the forward players. The man is now a cancer in our first 11 and the team will be so much better as a whole once he has been replaced.
We play at glacial speed.We build monentum,get a corner or a free kick,then wait for Tavernier to amble up to take it Defence gets a rest,gets set and 99% of the time clear the ball. We don't look fit enough to play at high tempo,or maintain a press. We cleared out dross from the squad to and filled it with ...more dross, more bottle merchants like Cerny,more treatment table jockeys like Cortes. A bold move is needed , sack Clement,pay him,get rid,and go after another manager,NOT McInnes.

Don’t think I’ve ever heard Ibrox so quiet on a European night…. Forget the Europa League, my big concern is avoiding getting pumped off the sheep at Pittodrie in a couple of weeks and falling 8 points behind them! Teams going backwards under Clement. He did the exact same at Monaco. Only they had the baws to bin him
On top of the right hand side, which was beyond dreadful, we were miles off them. Their big number 19, didn’t have to break sweat against Dessers. We spent most of the game lumping the ball forward to a guy who couldn’t win one single challenge. 🤷♂️
Not watched this yet but the tempo from us was like a friendly after we lost first couple goals! The substitutions was criminal also ( apart from Tavs ). Watching there ST Lacazette bang it in from 30 years outside box, reminded me we don’t have a ST that even shoots much never mind from outside box! the 🇦🇱 looks a level above yet we had Dowell playing his position lmao
Everyone getting on at Tav and quite rightly so but Souttar is not Rangers class. One good thing about last night is that Tav came off. Tav was unlucky not to score and Cernys miss I’d like to see him dropped now too.

What an absolute mess. We all know Tav's legs are gone however that doesn't excuse the leisurely jogging over to take a corner, with no urgency. What must the other players think when your captain is showing leadership like that. Tav gtf. You can't defend and you were easily beat every time on your side. The left side was really good, but, I've said this a million times, we haven't had a potent right hand side since Candy left. Cerny was dreadful, Tav too. Major weakness. 💙💙💙

We're where we are because this board sat on their laurels after winning 55 . They didn't back Gerrard and he pissed off because of this . His team played a high press high intensity game which was good to watch . Since he left we've become boring and predictable and this won't change until there is a manager and board in place who actually want to invest and actually have a style of play which is non existent at present

The Cerny situation is really baffling. Here we have a Czech international, played at the Euros, good age, lots of experience playing in Holland. On paper, an excellent signing. Yet he simply looks out of his depth. If he doesn't improve, we have a serious problem cos we have barely any fit wingers
I hope Bajrami's performances on the left dont hinder him getting a go in the No 10 position. Lets see him there please!

Every time they attacked down the left (which was few somehow) they made it look utterly effortless, they made our defence look like training dummies at times in the video, Barron had a stinker too sadly. But everyone’s allowed a bad game. That front three of Lyon is unreal, their defence looked weak and we didn’t take advantage.
The slow trot at one corner in specific was mind-blowingly painful! 😡

We’re playing a team that spent more than any other team in the French league this seaon, of course we’ll lose. Casanwijo looks decent but we’ve not seen enough to know if he’s next level, has to be worth finding out. I understand the manager is coming up short with team selection but this is us now, we won’t be beating teams like this for a long time. Our level is the Scottish league and beating Celtic is our target. We all need to accept it.
Embarrassing we done so well upto 1st goal Cerney wow he is hopeless, barron was good apart from pass but he has made passes like that a few times now almost cost us, tav is hopeless and bring nothing going forward now either. Raskin did well coming on but why no bring ignamane on to even play up with dessers who again was rotten not signing shankland has cost us
Going to comment before I watch.... curious to see if my thoughts match up.
Firstly Tav is done, his main redeeming qualities over the years were that he could get forward to score or create. It covered him for being such a terrible defender.... this season that's gone all we are left with is the terrible defender. We need a change there, realistically Soutter can do a job in the league but isn't of the quality we need for Europe.
Cerny barring his first 2 starts has been horrible, the sitter against malmo was forgivable. Tonight it wasn't. His out put is shocking. Dowell still getting game time blows my mind.

I’m a diehard Celtic man and I support any Scottish team in Europe. That includes Rangers. I don’t like seeing our teams get beat like this in Europe. It’s not nice.

Bajrami is as wasted on the LW as Hagi was in the past on the RW. Both are 10s. Though Hagi has been on the LW for his national side. Perhaps Hagi LW, Bajrami 10 and Lovelace RW with Igamane would be better.
Interesting what you were saying about looking at 4 years ago and losing back post goals. Scott Allen on Radio Clyde tonight, said when he was at Hibs, they were told to target the right back spot, because he wouldn’t be there! 🤷♂️
Cerny and Tav both need dropped and Cerny needs remedial classes in shooting because at the moment he can't hit the side of a barn from the inside with a shotgun. Dessers falls over as soon as soon as a defender so much as breathes on him. Dowell is offering nothing when he comes on.

In my opinion we missed a trick by not signing Muscat when we had the chance. Plays the same quick style as Angie and knows the Asian market.

Clement had no hesitation in removing Cantwell and setting an example of him. Yet he tolerates the likes of Cerny.
