Can this be used as a way to save your server for taking a break from Ark? We usually get burned out on ark after a couple months of playing it, and take solid breaks. (maybe 5 to 12 months) Can this be used as a way to be right back where we left off, without having to keep the server running and waste money?
Didnt understand what u meant with the older files. Im trying to download my files to pause the game for a while but im planning to return. Do i have to do something specific to make that work or can i just upload the files and play again normally? (Regarding patches)
So we have the new ark ascended. I only have one server. When I back up “the island” save file and switch to the “center” map. When I want to return to the island base do I just upload the save file? Also every patch would I have to upload the save, get the saved up to date patch, then re-save it or could I go a few patches?
@@iniklas4715 you would have to upload the old save yes. And when you click start on the server it will update it. I found it easier to just do two servers with crossark so I can upload crypods and send my self over with all my gear. If crossark is not on the server you will spawn in naked.
was you able to keep your map progress on single player or so, when I did this everything is gone on the map like its a new one I've did this many times with Evolved never seen this happened
I assume this wouldnt work for xbox official servers? I bought a server and imported my servers save onto it but i cant find FTP I assume its not available for console entirely? I just wanted to download the files to my pc directly. Agh...
Try uploading Ark SE data from a Nitrado Server to another better host and see if it works.. mine won't.. it seems they do something to the world saves (.ark files) to lock themselves in as the only host who can host those worlds!!
Hello, I found your video setting up an ark server on Nitrado super helpful. This video is close to what I'm looking for now but kind of reverse. Is there a way to take single player data that I currently have on my PC (or on someone else's PC) and transfer it to the Nitrado ark server I just made? Like we have been using a non-dedicated server and got annoyed with some of the limitations and want to now use this server. But we want to transfer the data from that game to this server. I'd super appreciate any help with that.

so i did this and tranfered my Mp to SP but it looks like my dinos XP were resetted to 0 so now im leveling my super high levels again which is making them insanely op

Have you tested this since then? Did you have to upload a save every patch?

tried this and the moment i went to open filezilla it failed due to threats of some sort so yeah rather lose my save files then risk my $3000 pc lol
yeah i did some digging and filezilla has been known to be adware/malware for years, trying to find some alternative for this
i did this with winSCP and installing it did not give me an antivirus warning, filezilla is a virus
