Same. I was 13 when I first played these levels on a 486. It was life changing and I still feel the same emotions when I see these maps again and hear the music. Man, such an amazing thing.
Anyone notice how Ultimate Doom has a much better soundtrack than Doom 2? And how these ambient, atmospheric pieces tend to be the best of all? (Now you know why I like PSX Doom. They're all ambient.)

I've always found this track more relaxing than terrifying even in the original doom. It's like this level felt like a break from the hardcore super fast killing and adrenaline rush. I could complete this level with a breeze even on Ultra Violence compared to e1m3 and e1m4.
Im 38 and this still gives me chills like im 13 again
Same here
I'm 47 and this give me chills like I'm 18 again...

Best remake of this track i ever heard.
8 years ago and not even 100k views. You're so underrated.
One of the very rare times when a remix is better than the original song. And Bobby Prince is a genius.
Man i play old doom for today
Is cool..and R.I.P doom old
@@doomguy3176Not at all, the old Doom is alive, a huge number of mods coming out to this day prove it
@@doomguy3176 Lil bro of 2 years ago must have never heard of a megawad.
The added brass elements gives it almost a ROTT feel.
0:43 I Never would have thought john romero would let texture misalignment slide, look at the right door.
There is much more misalignments in first episode :P.
It's not like they were using a doombuilder to build these levels. Cut Romero some slack.
The pad is perfect, the violin sound sounds cheap though.
Best map with best ost, and i found this perfect recreation

Este es uno de los mejores remix y versiones de E1M5 que existen. Una belleza sin igual.
You could not have saved them anyway.

The best version i heard so far (and i heard quite some)!

This is excellent. A pity it's been uploaded so many years before I have stumbled across it.
My favorite of the ambient ones in Doom:)
One of my favourite music in 1993 doom which is the best doom. Doom 2, level 9 the pit is great music also.
This is the ultimate suspense music that should lead to a boss fight in a cathedral.
This music plays in my head every time I walk into a abandoned synagouge.
Why did youtube recommended me this masterpiece too late? ;)
This is how it felt before stepping into the portal to hell for the first time after killing those barons.
you can still loop this version.
excellent rendition.
Year is again 1994 and my 486-33mhz
Spy hates bananas, but I love this remix.
No joke intended.
It’s Cool and Creepy at the same time when you play on Nightmare or Ultra Violence
No Dislikes it's prove THE power of this Soundtrack awesome
MAX Aladdin one person disliked this.
Probably it was the spectre you had to kill at the beginning.
