This is raw and dope but I’m curious as to why people choose this style of long boarding, I started out long boarding a lot and started street skateboarding and stuck w it. These boards are heavy and it’s sick to see what is possible but he weight and size holds you back a lot. I can imagine these guys shredding better on a skateboard setup
This is probably the most thought out comment ever. Thumbs up for that! Personally we like to take a bigger board to the bowl because it's more comfortable to cruise with. (Both in the bowl and on your way there) Afterwards you can also go bomb some hills without having to switch your setup or board which is pretty nice. I guess to each their own but it all boils down to the fact that we like to roll on a piece of wood with 4 wheels and 2 trucks. Keep shredding!
I'm assuming it's like people that wheelie and stunt dirtbikes... then you got the dudes with big balls that do the same stuff on bigger and heavier adventure bikes.
If you're a bigger guy as well its alot more comfortable to have that space to play with... thats why I make my own longboards.... (300mm decks)😆🤙

Răzvan Băhnărel to me the longer board is good for people coming from snowboarding or surfing. The extra weight and different ride and trick style vs regular skateboarding seems more fluid than hopping on a small board
The tricks these guys are doing are the same as street skating but these guys have to get that huge, heavy longboard to do the same thing a regular skateboard does.
