I notice I rarely see any recommendations for stretching to help with relief. Is there something counterproductive about it? I've had pain in my supraspinatus for years, and feel some improvement when I'm in a routine of stretching it.
Great question. I think the main reason is to address the underlying cause, you need to strengthen the tendon and improve the motor control of the shoulder complex, which are both best accomplished by rehab exercises. Some light stretching is probably fine as a symptom modifier. Irritated tendons don't like compression, so if you stretching is too intense or causes compression they may make the pain worse
Glad you like them! We don't have any stretches for his condition, we don't usually recommend them. If you do, make sure to stretch lightly, as intense stretches can irritate the tendon
Great presentation. Im currently struggling with the symptoms described in this video. Im going to try this 3 times a week and will update in a months time.
If there is no pain associated with it and there has been no recent trauma, than the popping is fine and should decrease with frequency as the motor control/strength improve
Yep! With tendinopathy, it is often how much, i.e. dosage rather than you can or your can't. Pull-ups shoulder be fine (assuming no pain), with swimming you will have to try a small amount and see how the shoulder responds. If it goes well, gradually increases, if it doesn't wait a few weeks and do the rehab, then start again
my left shoulder feels like it hits a tendon or something, kinda feels like it is dislocating a little bit but not fully when doing the front raise. All other movements are fine, I just cant really reach out in front of me, like to pick up a glass in the morning is nearly impossible until later in the day. I had a frozen shoulder for like 2 years and now this. I had both frozen shoulders at the same time and took about 2 years to be able to really use them normally. The right one is fine but i can't reach across my body at all, can barely touch the other shoulder but it's stable; the left comes out or rolls over a tendon or something all the time. Also, when i wake up i have to wrap my left arm around my bent knee (like pulling knees to chest) then push my knee down and my left shoulder makes a big pop and goes back in the socket. I don't have medical insurance and no money to go to the doctor yet, so i just live with it. I have no idea if it is impingement or cuff tendinopathy. I was fine before my two frozen shoulders, it came out of nowhere. Sorry so long. Would love to know what i have. i do all the exercises and hopefully i'll at least not have the left one displace so easily while reaching forward and up. Also it's only in the beginning until about 70% where it hurts, after going above my head is fine and feels normal. Because of the two frozen shoulders i atrophied and was a time when i couldn't do a single push up. I d have done 30 probably before all this. My left clavicle also hurt a ton during this. Last piece of information is when i started to feel ok, i'd swim and my left bicep would kill after, to the degree i had to do everything driving with the right hand. Kind of sad. I was always an athlete in good shape. This all started the day i turned 40 basically. maybe a day or two before or after. thanks for your vidoes.
My rear delt hurts, Yesterday i wanna do my reverse fly machine were i can normally do 17reps but yesterday i cant do 1 rep with same weight. Is this the cns which blocked me from pain? And ehat could this be and goes this away? So that i can do my normal reps again and dont have any pain?

Hey long time no see 😂 how u doin , i used to have a partially torn supraspinatus tendon thats what my MRI showed 1 year and a half ago but now days i did ultrasound and MRI tests for my shoulder and the ultrasound doctor told me i dont have a partial tear and that i have heterogenous texture in my supraspinatus tendon and my ortheopedic doctor when he saw my new MRI that i took 3 days ago he told me that i dont have a partial tear anymore but i have inflammation in the supraspinatus tendon could this be possible like i was shocked when he told me that keep in mind that i only did excersises to heal my partially torn tendon i didnt take any meds and i didnt have any surgery so is it actually true that the tendon returned to its place again and that there is no tear like both of them say when i told u i did US and MRI + If i have inflammtion in the tendon like my ortheopedic said or if i have heterogenous texture in the tendon like what my ultrasound doctor said what can i do now + i m super glad for ur help 2 years ago without u i wouldnt even know that i have partially torn tendon back then and i highly appreciate ur help ❤❤ please reply 🙏

This is my situation. My Traps is pretty sore after my work due to repetitive motion. Till the time, i try to go in the gym. It gets worst and worst. My front shoulder connected to collarbone down to my traps and shoulder blade. It gives me an uncomfortable pain. I tried many chiropractor but I didn’t feel any improvement.

It is showing there has been structural changes to the tendon at the insertion point usually from mechanical overuse or trauma
