I fast forward Please Don’t Touch Me every time. I am not comfortable with that song. When I first listened to the soundtrack on headphones I blushed so badly my brother was wondering if I was overheated!😂😂😂
she'd be wearing a wig, right? that's a REALLY good wig. on another note, the dancing is razor sharp, and sutton does a perfect job out in front, as usual
this musical was soooo amazing!!!! i love it soo much. i went with my marching band and saw it on broadway. roger bart is related to someone in my band so we got to meet him =D i have his autograph on my playbill. agh, this musical was soooo good
Don't worry, I got to go backstage and I didn't gety his sig. You probably wouldn't have gotten his anyway, he and Roger Bart were the omly two who didn't come out for me and from what I could get from the security people at the theatre, he almost never comes out anyway... But meeting Sutton Foster was the coolest.
I think wmgrad2b is right about it not winning best musical, but I saw it on Bway, and I'd be surprised if Roger Bart wasn't at least nominated, and I'd be REALLY surprised if Chris Fitzgerald didn't win Best Featured Actor. He stole the show. Roger was excellent, too. Sutton was nursing a sprained ankle, so I didn't get to see her :( But she's always nominated, so I see her getting another nom. BTW, Chris and Roger are SUPER nice guys if u can get to the stage door.
They probably DON'T hate it, but it's their job to point out where there can be improvement. They're like the editors for books. When the people involved in the show read the reviews, they try to improve on their mistakes and remember what needs work and what is fine the way it is.
I bet that was intentional, not to specifically reference Belle, but the exact same decisions were probably made for this show that put Belle in blue for the movie. Ever notice how everyone in the 'Belle' number at the beginning of the movie are all dressed in warm reds, yellows, and greens, but Belle is the only one who's in blue? They did that so she'd stand out, even during the big crowd shots. There's also a lot of emphasis on making Belle visually unique because she's different from everyone else, but it's been a while since I've seen Young Frankenstein, so I can't remember if that was a big theme for Inga or not. But I bet the same reasoning was used here. Most of the girls in the ensemble are in reds, yellows, and greens (except that one girl who's got a purple skirt), and quite a few of them are in more than one color. By putting only Inga in only blue, she sticks out, and she's easier to keep track of, even during the big dance numbers. And that visual indicator is even more important in stage shows, where there's no camera to help guide the audience to what they're supposed to be looking at. Sorry about the novel, I enjoy this kind of stuff a lot. 😅
I thought the same thing. I wonder if that was on purpose? Like as a joke. I know that some other Broadway plays--*cough*BookofMormon*cough*--make refrence to other plays.
I saw it today! Not my favorite show, but it wasn't too bad. Music was kind of blah, but the sets were good and so were the effects. Sutton Foster was good as usual. And Megan Mullally was also good. Who knew she could sing? Oh and gotta love Andrea Martin in this!
The only review that really hated it was the New York Times, and we think that guy was haviga bad day... o Mel Brooks had offended him beforehand which is also quite likely.
ztslovebird I'm guessing you mean Andrea Martin? Well if so she plays Frau Blucher and she does go on stage in the musical but not here. She was so good as Frau Blucher too!
is it me or does sutton foster look like Belle, despite the blonde wig...i just think that blue was a poor choice for that costume...I do love the costume even in that color but not for that character...it needed to be like green or pink or something...i'm like waitiung for her to pull out a book and basket...
Roger and Chris sound like REALLY nice guys, but Sutton seems like too much of a diva. Maybe it's just because she's always the lead female, or because of all of her nominations, but I think her head is getting a LITTLE too big for her shoulders!
no offence to these actors and actresses but i prefered marty feldman and gene wilder, i know they probably can't sing or dance but i think they fit the part better, mainly because they set the character
@grnday11700 There are only two things Sutton Foster can't do; look awful (she could make a potato sack look stylish!) and be shorter than her leading man, lol!
Sutton Foster can always be trusted to ROCK a wig, so in love with this woman, too much talent
To this day, all of my friends still cannot believe that our school allowed us to do this show-without editing the script
DONT TOUCH MY TITS
SAME

@@natew6319 lol, that's the only part we changed
REALLY?!?!
she'd be wearing a wig, right? that's a REALLY good wig.
on another note, the dancing is razor sharp, and sutton does a perfect job out in front, as usual
The rhymes in this song are HILARIOUS!
this musical was soooo amazing!!!! i love it soo much. i went with my marching band and saw it on broadway. roger bart is related to someone in my band so we got to meet him =D i have his autograph on my playbill. agh, this musical was soooo good

I just hadn't looked it up yet. This is great. Thank you :D
How come I don't remember this?!?!?! I've always loved Halloween and Broadway!!!
Wasn’t on broadway for long
Roger Bart was great in this!!!
Don't worry, I got to go backstage and I didn't gety his sig. Ah. Thank you for clearing that up!

Hey, I just realized its Carmen Ghia from The Producers...
cool
Idk, but Inga's costume reminds me of Belle's. Just saying.
Ah, true, true!
They left out Igor's french horn solo!
They also left out the part were she says "I set him free!"
GeekGirl567 and the part where the monster moans at the beginning and Igor tries to hide it by doing the same and starting this musical number
i like the flip the guy does at 3:45 hahaha
The Little mermaid was Sierra Boggess
Her outfit looks ALOT like Belle's. Did anyone else notice that, or was it just me?
I bet that was intentional, not to specifically reference Belle, but the exact same decisions were probably made for this show that put Belle in blue for the movie.

With them being outside they needed to do that in the theater they have complete control and they needed there so they had to record it.
yup. Sutton Foster. she's great
最高
I thought the same thing. I wonder if that was on purpose? Like as a joke. I know that some other Broadway plays--*cough*BookofMormon*cough*--make refrence to other plays.
i am so jealous!! i want to see it, i wish i could have seen it with the obc =[
Rachael Ray (?).
She reeeaaly rocks by the way!! :D
plays? do you mean musicals?
@musichottie17 yeah, you GOTTA love it. do the transylvania mania

Could Christopher Fitzgerald get any awesome-er?
Hey man, don't be hatin' on my sutton!
8 people aren't with the mania

but how? it doesnt come out for like another month!
omg! that lady's probably rly cold!
@Razmatini
Not really, when you're dancing that much, plus the excitment, you tend to stay pretty warm. ;D
that's what you gotta do when you're outside and dancing like that.
@EnmaFire yeah, but what about the rest of the parade?
I wish i would have seen it before it closed
Really??
I saw it in Hartford too!
When did you go?
I went on the 8th
Is it Sutton Foster??? 😱🤩
And Jo in 'Little Women'. Wanna get blown away? Search for "Sutton Foster - Astonishing"
no =[
i would love to see it with anyone, just with the obc especially.
have you?
no offense... but how do you know if its the cast recording or not?
i think about this video a lot 💀
At my school were singing this at a Really big concert for the county live in. And I wanna die cuz imma be in it.😑
Fronkensteins ses that line
If those vocals weren't recorded then I don't know what is
Every show pre-records vocals for this event
@megan78517 consider yourself lucky!
100th bois
The only review that really hated it was the New York Times, and we think that guy was haviga bad day... o Mel Brooks had offended him beforehand which is also quite likely.
y sutton no use accent!
She does
Ah. Sorry; I probably misinterpreted her energy or something for diva-ness. Wait a sec - who's Andrea?
ztslovebird I'm guessing you mean Andrea Martin? Well if so she plays Frau Blucher and she does go on stage in the musical but not here. She was so good as Frau Blucher too!

Sutton is actually really nice
Roger the philandering pussy hound and Sutton Foster with the reputation of being of the nicest people to work with
why dont u just listen and write them down???
@Makkura No not mermaid
no offence to these actors and actresses but i prefered marty feldman and gene wilder, i know they probably can't sing or dance but i think they fit the part better, mainly because they set the character
@grnday11700 There are only two things Sutton Foster can't do; look awful (she could make a potato sack look stylish!) and be shorter than her leading man, lol!
yeah thats too bad...
Sutton is charming as always but the choreography isn't Susan Stroman's best work.
I didn't think it was possible to make Young Frankenstein annoying and fruity...
I guess I was proven wrong.
Well this sucked. Though Sutton rocked it
i like the flip the guy does at 3:45 hahaha
