Same issue. Turned the power off, safety -> power off. Then carefully reached behind the aluminum bar to the radiator fan. Gave it a few taps and voila. Whatever was stuck came loose and the noise went away.
Could you explain more where you reached your hand? I don't see an opening on the bottom where my hand could fit? Got same problem with my model 3 the other day... thanks
Not sure, I believe it is done from underneath though. In any case, my new fan is making the same sound again. They haven’t revised the part to fix this issue yet, I got the same one put in under warranty after this video was made.
@@fiehlsport I was just about to post the same video... Question is, was the fan actually bad or was there just some debris interfering with it? I am able to replicate the sound consistently by toggling Track Mode (Y Performance) on=fan on, off=fan off. Or charging the car replicates the same sound.
@fiehlsport was your issue resolved? I have the same issue, and they want to replace the hlwhole radiator at 800 dollars. I know it's a part issue, but they continue to say it is the debris on the radiator, and I don't believe it is.

Nice… I’ll have to remember that next time the noise comes back. Good tip on powering down so as not to lose any fingers!

I just got my 2024 Y 2 days ago, had the same noise and from the same place
What was the repair process for changing the fan?

I have the same noise but worse on my model 3!

Don’t sit so close? 😂
I'm happy to report they replaced the cooling fan under warranty and all is well now!
Hi how long did the repair take?
