Long story short they found drugs in his house during a search and he’s known by officers but the full story is. The man had multiple encounters with the cops and more than 3 of the cops in this video know him, at first they walked up to his window not knowing who it was, the man was screaming and yelling maniacly said a neighbour during the 911 call, when the officers pull up to his window he started tweaking out and not making sense (the way you would on coke or meth), he then takes his shirt off and starts tweaking even more, he then becomes agressive to police causing them to try and detain him (NOT ARREST) the man then says “okay guys arrest me” in a calm manner. As the cops go to cuff him he starts getting more heated and starts resisting arrest mean continuing to scream and yell. It shreds my heart knowing these men have given their lives for this country, and even though they survived the wars, they aren't able to survive life afterwards...😢 The biggest failure of this country is that we don't take care of our soldiers who took/take care of us. The mental illness caused by combat experiences and effects of TBI are serious contributors to alcoholism, drugs and suicide in combat vets. I am clean and sober 3 years and 7 months. I know that anger and pain. I would bet that this type of situation is not uncommon for police.

Sadly if they don't want help, they can't force it on them. My relative is a former air force staff Sargeant. She sadly took a turn because of certain things that happened. We took her to the VA several times to get her back on medication. She refused, and they had to let her go. It's sad, many veterans think they're ok and should not be out and about without proper medical attention but unless they commit several crimes they won't help.
As I’m currently, I can say, separating they don’t care about you when you separate. Just do these courses, sign some papers and goodbye. But my 5 years in the Navy was a good run nonetheless.
@@Jon-dx1sz You should look into all the branches but I will say, 2 guaranteed checks a month, 3-4 meals, and a place to sleep. Work your way up can be making some good money. I was a E-5 with BAH making around $7,200 a month (got demoted) military has it’s pro’s & con’s. (Active duty Navy)
They weren't normal to begin with. I can count maybe 30 cousins/relatives who served , many in straight combat fighting Germans, Japan, N. Koreans, Chinese and Vietnam, Israel. One relative, was a squadron commander in WW2 & then flew Jets in Korea. He went on suicide missions. He's now well past 100 and was asked about this when interviewed and about ptsd. He said it basically didn't exist. This guy is watching videos all day, gets enough $$$ to kill his incentive to work so instead drinks, so he loses his mind. The result of liberalism. My dad was beaten and tortured but went on with his life after the war. There was no one standing by to wipe his butt. He went to work for $.60/hour and worked his way up. He needed to work in order to eat. His war experiences had some effect and I saw it but there was no option to stay home all day, collect disability and drink.

Watching this is hard emotionally. I'm an Army Vet and have had a few episode like this myself. I'm very proud of the cops for handling this in the right way. I know from my experience I really didn't want to hurt anyone, but a few times I did. My hats off to these officers for handling this situation the right way. PTSD isn't a joke.

Police officers face just as many problems and must have the same self-control, the biggest example was with the seal itself. Decreasing police officers does not increase military personnel, on the contrary.
No one is taking about decreasing officers here. They're talking about restraint to treat people like human beings first, the way these officers here proved it can be done.

I am a 100% PTSD combat Vietnam vet. I'm 75 years old. Last night I have been in the hospital for a few days suffering from pneumonia. I was released this evening. ,but last night flashback we're raging. A young nurse came in I told her how my PTSD started and other terrifying events that I went through in my 3 years there. The main thing is that it is not the veteran not letting the past go it's the past not letting the veteran go. I was there 68 to 71 that was a long time ago and it still won't let me go. I have been mentally where this guy is, one time

A lot of vets from ww2, Korea, and Vietnam ended up fighting as mercenaries in Africa during the 60s and 70s basically for this reason. They either didn't know what else to do with themselves. (Also, some that just fell in love with the fighting)

As a daughter to a Vietnam Vet. This brings so much pain to see a man that gave his blood, sweat and tears suffering from PTSD. Brings back my father's last words dying in that bed in a VA hospital. I watched this whole video. His brother is an officer in the PD in Reno where this occurred. He actually calmed down after a while and worked with the cops. He was having one of his moments, believe you me. The officers there knew who he was and were able to de-escalate the situation with him.
As someone who was with a navy seal for years, I feel this. I can remember every night he woke up sweating and shaking, but unable to tell me what was wrong. The way he jumped when a loud noise was heard. It's absolutely heartbreaking the way these men come back. I pray this man found help & peace with his past ❤

This breaks my heart. This Country needs to do better for our vets when they come back home. I have so many service members in my family, as well as my Dad and when they came back from Iraq and Afghanistan, it was like, okay, u went to war for us, but now you’re not active anymore, so you’re on your own. My Dad has had run in with the cops a lot, from neighbors calling the cops when he wakes up thinking he’s back overseas. My cousin wakes up screaming on a regular. He came home the day before the 4th of July and was taking a nap and the neighbor tossed an M80 in his backyard, which was less than 20 ft from his window where he was asleep. He woke up screaming “everyone get down, get tf down, they’re bombing us, I need more medics now”. It was awful. They teach them how to go to war and fight, but not how to deal with life after war and it’s heartbreaking seeing what some of them go through. My cousin started to open up to us a little bit, at least with what information he was allowed to give and the stuff he seen and had to do will break any Man. His best friend was with him and he had to carry his body part so he could be identified after their tanker got hit. I pray to God something changes with care for our Vets bc this is so wrong. 😞

How about the veteran wanting help for himself? If he was a regular person, society would be saying why doesn’t he get help. But because he is outside spouting the names of past SEALS and spits while he yells we automatically go to let’s get him help. Mental health has been a bigger crutch to America than race.

Being in WAR and going home is horrible on the mind. I still feel it even 10 years after my last deployment. I will never be the same. Now I am anti war and against the government who finds any reason to go to war unprovoked directly. the SEAL is a broken Hero and he needs help but will never be fully cured. I know...

Edit: since yall tweaking in the replies lemme explain. Long story short they found drugs in his house during a search and he’s known by officers but the full story is. The man had multiple encounters with the cops and more than 3 of the cops in this video know him, at first they walked up to his window not knowing who it was, the man was screaming and yelling maniacly said a neighbour during the 911 call, when the officers pull up to his window he started tweaking out and not making sense (the way you would on coke or meth), he then takes his shirt off and starts tweaking even more, he then becomes agressive to police causing them to try and detain him (NOT ARREST) the man then says “okay guys arrest me” in a calm manner. As the cops go to cuff him he starts getting more heated and starts resisting arrest mean continuing to scream and yell. Sadly if they don't want help, they can't force it on them. My relative is a former air force staff Sargeant. She sadly took a turn because of certain things that happened. We took her to the VA several times to get her back on medication. She refused, and they had to let her go. It's sad, many veterans think they're ok and should not be out and about without proper medical attention but unless they commit several crimes they won't help.
As I’m currently, I can say, separating they don’t care about you when you separate. Just do these courses, sign some papers and goodbye. But my 5 years in the Navy was a good run nonetheless.

They weren't normal to begin with. I can count maybe 30 cousins/relatives who served , many in straight combat fighting Germans, Japan, N. Koreans, Chinese and Vietnam, Israel. One relative, was a squadron commander in WW2 & then flew Jets in Korea. He went on suicide missions. He's now well past 100 and was asked about this when interviewed and about ptsd. He said it basically didn't exist. This guy is watching videos all day, gets enough $$$ to kill his incentive to work so instead drinks, so he loses his mind. The result of liberalism. My dad was beaten and tortured but went on with his life after the war. There was no one standing by to wipe his butt. He went to work for $.60/hour and worked his way up. He needed to work in order to eat. His war experiences had some effect and I saw it but there was no option to stay home all day, collect disability and drink.
Our country owes him everything. May God bless his path moving forward.

Watching this is hard emotionally. I'm an Army Vet and have had a few episode like this myself. I'm very proud of the cops for handling this in the right way. I know from my experience I really didn't want to hurt anyone, but a few times I did. My hats off to these officers for handling this situation the right way. PTSD isn't a joke.

I am a 100% PTSD combat Vietnam vet. I'm 75 years old. Last night I have been in the hospital for a few days suffering from pneumonia. I was released this evening. ,but last night flashback we're raging. A young nurse came in I told her how my PTSD started and other terrifying events that I went through in my 3 years there. The main thing is that it is not the veteran not letting the past go it's the past not letting the veteran go. I was there 68 to 71 that was a long time ago and it still won't let me go. I have been mentally where this guy is, one time
I spent 7 hours in my garage with a .357 in my mouth and small children in the house. So I know this guy is going through hell

A lot of vets from ww2, Korea, and Vietnam ended up fighting as mercenaries in Africa during the 60s and 70s basically for this reason. They either didn't know what else to do with themselves. (Also, some that just fell in love with the fighting)

As a daughter to a Vietnam Vet. This brings so much pain to see a man that gave his blood, sweat and tears suffering from PTSD. Brings back my father's last words dying in that bed in a VA hospital.

I watched this whole video. His brother is an officer in the PD in Reno where this occurred. He actually calmed down after a while and worked with the cops. He was having one of his moments, believe you me. The officers there knew who he was and were able to de-escalate the situation with him.

As someone who was with a navy seal for years, I feel this. I can remember every night he woke up sweating and shaking, but unable to tell me what was wrong. The way he jumped when a loud noise was heard. It's absolutely heartbreaking the way these men come back. I pray this man found help & peace with his past ❤

This breaks my heart. This Country needs to do better for our vets when they come back home. I have so many service members in my family, as well as my Dad and when they came back from Iraq and Afghanistan, it was like, okay, u went to war for us, but now you’re not active anymore, so you’re on your own. My Dad has had run in with the cops a lot, from neighbors calling the cops when he wakes up thinking he’s back overseas. My cousin wakes up screaming on a regular. He came home the day before the 4th of July and was taking a nap and the neighbor tossed an M80 in his backyard, which was less than 20 ft from his window where he was asleep. He woke up screaming “everyone get down, get tf down, they’re bombing us, I need more medics now”. It was awful. They teach them how to go to war and fight, but not how to deal with life after war and it’s heartbreaking seeing what some of them go through. My cousin started to open up to us a little bit, at least with what information he was allowed to give and the stuff he seen and had to do will break any Man. His best friend was with him and he had to carry his body part so he could be identified after their tanker got hit. I pray to God something changes with care for our Vets bc this is so wrong. 😞
