In such a difficult time as a clan war, there is no joy for kittens. Forced to work from 4 moons, Thornkit and Briarkit rarely spend time together. Instead of carefree games under the mother's belly, they work for the benefit of the weakened clan. Only when all the work is done, they run to play in the meadow under the night sky.
From time to time the Thornsloe completely forgets that it is not his dear sister who shares the frequent pranks with him.

This is a very exhausting work, I burned out on it several times, but it had to be finished. My first experience with tweening and I swear my computer hates me. I’m not happy with all the moments, but it was a very valuable experience and I like how I enliven ordinary pictures with movement

How the tweening was done makes me think of clockwork with the hatching in the darker markings and the colour palette complementing it really well by reminding me of wood
The entire thing looks absolutely georgous and I am in love with it
A cool detail I found, in 0:34 the cat's pupils muve along to the beat
It seems that the cats are constantly breathing and I swear, it’s give a realistic part to all this pmv. Plus the personal touch to this one is particularly pleasant. This was a genuine one. Continue like this !
Babies ;(( I really love how close Pine and Thorn are as kittens, and how Thornsloe projects their relationship on his friendship with Hoarchaser. Pine looks so betrayed and hurt in the end, too!
This also explains why Thornsloe would wish to leave the clan for barn cats - not only were they in the middle in clan war, both siblings had to take on duties far too young! I wonder if Thornsloe got his 'full' name in the clan, to make him full-fledged medicine cat, even though he was still way too young.

Yes, Thorn received his full name in clan when he was barely 10 moons old. He already came to the barn as a fully trained medicine cat.
Hoar, by the way, ran into the barn with 7 moons.

I've seen so many good animatics/PMVs/etc and have a bad habit of not commenting, but I HAVE to say that I love everything about how this looks. The style and designs are so crisp, clearly related but still distinct and realistic. The combo of simpler bgs and the use of the PMV style for larger actions but animating the smaller touches like expressions, ear twitches and breathing really adds life to the movements and brings focus to the character interactions/emotions. Well done, you should be proud!

God i love this so much and the tweening reminds me of the Medeival warrior cats projects (and especially the way moldypaw tweens in them) it really gives them an incredible storybook like feel to it. Very wonderful fascinating and unnerving at the same time, which i can see was the intention with the creepy warning :D I have downloaded this video so i can rewatch it and even learn from it since all tweening I have ever done was frame by frame and not actual tweening ❤
